Blood splattered across Vivanna’s face as she slashed her target’s face. “Please! I told Mrs. Kathleen. I would get her money! PLEASE! I HAVE A FAMILY AT HOME!” the target begged. An ounce of sympathy fell over Vivanna, but she reminded herself she had no choice in whether he would die or not. His lifeless body flopped to the floor, she mumbled, “I’m sorry…” as she pulled her dagger out of his face and slid it into her right pocket. She walked away from the dark alleyway.
While walking, Vivanna pulled out her phone and texted her girlfriend, Julia, asking her if she was still awake with it being 10 PM. Julia didn’t respond so she assumed that she was asleep and it would be safe for her to come home to change into clothes that weren’t bloody.
As Vivanna walked home, she noticed a missing poster of a 25 year old male. She truly was guilty as she was the cause of that . However, she had to suck it up and keep moving. It wouldn’t matter how horrible she felt, it didn’t matter to Mrs. Kathleen. Money was always the only thing that matter to Mrs. Kathleen. Maybe, in some other life, she hadn’t signed that stupid contract to become an assassin. This is not what they made it out to be at all. She swallowed her guilt and continued to make her way home. She has her job for the night.
As soon as Vivanna got home, she walked into bathroom. As she pasted the bedroom, she noticed that Julia was in fact asleep. Vivanna pulled out her dagger from her pocket. She turned on the hot water and washed the blood off. She has probably done this a million times, but each time it feels more and more humiliating and she felt more and more guilty. After she washed the dagger, she walked into her closet. She bent down to the floor and unlocked her secret safe. In this safe, she kept all her things to kill with and any other miscellaneous items. Vivanna stored her dagger in it and locked it back up. She grabbed a towel, clothes and all her other things and made her way to the shower.
