A life I don't remember

Summary:

Hera wakes up in a flower field, alone. The air is warm and dense, to the point of suffocating. The sun burned down on her skin, and she could hear the refreshing sound of a river nearby. She groaned, turning her head to the left, seeing a dark oak forests, with a mountain peeking out behind it.

Yet there was no snow, no ice, and no village nearby. Even as she sat upright, nothing was familiar. Instead of her own home and cave, she was met with empty, windy fields. Her eye widened in a horrific realization.

This was not at all Glandier.

The voice beamed.

“Welcome, Players.” The entity in the middle spoke, glancing around with a bored expression. The others stayed silent, monitoring.

“You are all here to participate in Creative Life, a Life Game. For the next few weeks, we will give you time to gather materials and make alliances with the others." It explained. "Best of luck Players. We are counting on you for entertainment, and we prefer you do not disappoint us."

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

It is dark.

You are standing in a giant circle. You are confused. So are the others in your circle. You can not move. You recognize nobody. In the center of the circle, 9 eldritch entities float, examining you all. They are cloaked and masked, unidentifiable. While they all looked powerful, a center being was far taller, and the other 8 surrounded it. It was likely the boss.

The voice beamed.

“Welcome, Players.” The entity in the middle spoke, glancing around with a bored expression. The others stayed silent, monitoring.

“You are all here to participate in Creative Life, a Life Game. For the next few weeks we will give you time to gather materials and make alliances with the others." It explained.

"The rules are simple, you will start with three lives, these are the lives possible:

  • Dark Green Life: you have four lives and you are passive and can mingle with others like you freely.

  • Green Life: like the Dark Greens but you have three lives, this is what you will start with.

  • Yellow Life: you have two lives and while you are also technically passive you are allowed to attack the Dark Green and Greens if you wish, killing a Dark Green will heal half a life, and last but not least…

  • Red Life: you have one life and are completely hostile, if you kill a Dark Green or Green you will gain a life and return back to Yellow.”

The central being listed off the lives while counting each finger, then their face changed into a more sinister smile.

“While it’s possible to go down a life through accidental deaths, we will also be introducing something known as a ‘Boogeyman’,” The other beings seemed to smirk at the mention of the curse, “this will force one or two random Players who are not on Red to become hostile and are required to kill another Non-Red or else they will lose a life. Players are also able to gift a life to someone, and also heal others which will give the receiver half a life.”

“You will have a few weeks to prepare for the Game, use that time to make allies, enemies, and gear. Best of luck Players. We are counting on you for entertainment, and we prefer you do not disappoint us." The central being stated, before them and their minions seemed to fly up, where more and more beings floated.

Some were dressed in pinkish attire, but similar to the entities, while others looked like ghosts. You could never be sure. However, the other people, who you counted to be approximately 40, vanished into the darkness. You blacked out.

The next thing you feel is your pounding head on sharp blades of grass.

The game has trapped you now.

And you must play.
