Work Text:

Brand new to the city, under an emerald sky,
I was lonely and scared and ready to fly,
Two young souls were drifting, both lost and yet free,
A saxophone wailing, its voice calling me.
Flaming red hair danced in the soft summer breeze,
He played with passion, like he was born to tease.

Do you believe in destiny?
When the music calls, it sets our hearts free
From across the park, our eyes suddenly meet,
In this symphony of life, drawn together its meant to be.

Then came the solo, with passion my song begun,
My trumpet was heavy, love like wine proudly sung.
With amber eyes like honey, pulling me in,
The sound of his laughter felt like a win.
I played like the heavens were echoing back,
In that moment, I felt my world turn to black.

Do you believe in destiny?
When melody flows, it’s our symphony.
From across the park, our fate intertwined,
In this orchestra of hearts, our souls are aligned.

I took a step closer, heart racing like drums,
Our notes merged together, as love surely comes.
In the echoes of music, we found our own space,
With the sax and the trumpet, we finally embraced.
He blew life into me, with every note played,
Each breath shared between us, a promise not swayed.

In the cold of the park, the stars softly peek,
We shared whispered secrets, our moments unique.
With each passing breeze, our hearts sang aloud,
Two lovers in harmony, lost in this crowd.
The sax kissed the trumpet, a song sweetly spun,
Together forever, we were destined as one.

Do you believe in destiny?
When love takes flight, can we ever be free?
From across the park, we’ve found our sweet sound,
In this tale of two lovers, true magic abound.

So let the world listen, let the night softly fall,
With saxophone and trumpet, we’re giving it all.
The flame and the angel, in a dance that we twirl,
Together forever, in this musical world.
In every crescendo, every whispering tone,
In the park at twilight, we finally found home.
