Dear Raihan Celdrus

Summary:

Opening fan mail had never came across to Raihan, not once in a blue moon... but that happened anyways, opening a story never seen imaginable. Will it be a happy fairy-tale ending or will it all come crumbling down?

(or Evan Hansen x Zoe Murphy but with Pokémon characters instead)

Notes:

Before we start, thanks for the encouragement to turn this one-shot into a full-fledged story! I would love to post about this as much as possible, and I have a rough idea on what the plot would be like.

Of course, other fanfics such as The Million Tape Game 1 and Total Drama Action 2024 may take higher priority, so this fanfic may take a little long to update, but I'll try to keep you updated with whatever tea I come up with =D

Without further ado, enjoy!

Chapter 1: Prologue Part 1: Fan Mail

Notes:

Anyways if your wondering why Raihan's surname is Celdrus... blame the Dandy's World Wiki. Yes. BLAME THEM.

Chapter Text

"You know, it's about time Raihan started posting something other than his selfies and Pokemon battles… which go rampant on social media every. single. time."

That comment rapidly jumped around in his head like a kid in a bouncy castle, getting astronomically louder as he was about to hit send on his latest post — something other than his selfies and Pokemon battles. Bracing for impact, his finger pressed the button on his sweat-greased phone.

you know what? tl;dr, gonna open some fan mail where you can write your whatever to me. will publicly release my comment every week or so, so nothing weird pls.

The internet went crazy, as if Deltarune Chapter 5 got announced. Soon, his sacred email address experienced the flood of wack crap and unhinged confessions his fans had written down on their blue light-emitting devices. Disappointed, Raihan skimmed through all this emails, without thinking twice.

The only thing he knew — it's based on a little therapy assignment he had five years ago.

“You have to write a diary to express your emotions", his therapist advised.

"...Yeah, I'm not really a diary kind of person,” Raihan snarkily but respectfully clapped back, a little upset. An after-effect from his hour-long rant about his problems.

"Fine. You can... write emails to yourself. That could be an alternative!"

Raihan could vividly recall the five minute dramatic pause he gave his therapist, as well as his hesitance writing just one simple email to himself… He was still proud of the day he finally sent one to himself, transforming it into a daily routine.

He felt less alone, he felt less parasocial, but he still wanted someone to connect to.

Feeling very lonely lately.

One of his fan's emails caught his eye while he was separating the wheat from the chaff of emails. Intrigued, he slowly read every word it had to offer. As the scrolling became as graceful as a ballet dancer, Raihan's heart levitated a little, the exact same feeling he felt when he wrote his first email to himself.
