Chapter Text
The farewell hug that Daniel shared with Judy was warm, friendly, brotherly even. They liked each other fine, and sort of drifted into getting together. For a few weeks they held hands and hung out alone, nothing more.
Daniel hadn't kissed Judy. It was his last chance to have his first kiss with her, his first kiss ever.
He held her hands and leaned in. His mouth landed on her cheek.
"Well, goodbye."
"Best of luck, Daniel."
Being separated from his first girlfriend ought to have been more devastating, yet it wasn't so hard for him to pack it in.
