I'm the only one who can crack this case," I declare, pausing in front of my desk.
"But... why?" Atsushi asks, sounding puzzled from behind me.
"Because I'm the greatest detective," I reply, pulling out my chair and settling in.
"But..."
"That's not the point," I interrupt, brushing aside Atsushi's question. "What really matters is that I solve the case."
"How do you pull it off?" he pressed.
"It's quite simple," I say as I get comfortable in my chair. "I just need to observe and analyze."
"Observe and analyze?"
"Exactly," I respond, a smile creeping onto my face as I look at him. "But there's more. The key element is intuition."
"Intuition?" he echoes, his eyes wide with curiosity.
"Yes," I confirm with a nod. "Without a strong sense of intuition, solving cases becomes much more difficult." any case would be nearly impossible."
"I see," he replies before heading out to join Akutagawa on another 'mission' (wink wink).
I decided to call Poe for a new case. He always helps me find the best candy. "Edgar Allan Poe is at your service!" he answers cheerfully.
"Ed, I've got a new case," I say, leaning back in my chair and playfully twirling the phone cord around my finger.
"Oh? A case, you say?" he responds, sounding intrigued.
"Yes," I continue, glancing at the scattered papers on my desk. "It's quite intriguing," Poe replies, his tone curious. "What makes this case so special?"
"It's not just about solving a mystery," I say, lowering my voice. "It could be about uncovering a secret that could change everything."
"A secret? Now you've got my attention, Ranpo," Poe inquires.
"We'll have to dig deeper to find out," I reply as I open a bag of candy.
"One for secrets, are we?" Poe teases, genuine intrigue in his voice.
"I just need someone to cover my cab fare and candy expenses; after all, I am the world's best detective," I shoot back with a grin.
"Alright, I'll come along as your chaperone," Poe says, pretending to begrudge the arrangement.
"Thanks, kind sir." The cab will be here any minute. "Where are you now, Ranpo? And where's the mysterious location?" Poe asks.
"I'm outside the agency, and we're heading to a house in a neighborhood where every other house has a murder connected to it—except this one. No one has lived there for nearly fifty years," I explain, even though I haven't visited the place yet. I'm pretty sure it involves an ability user.
"Could you rephrase that? I'm not quite following, Ranpo," Poe says, sounding confused.
"Okay, let me clarify. It's likely connected to an ability. Everyone who lived in the other house ended up dead before they could even try to leave. There have been over a hundred deaths here, yet there's no sign of fingerprints or any evidence suggesting it was done by a person or an animal. Does that clear things up, Ed?"
"A bit. Thanks, Ranpo," Poe says, as I hear his door close. "I'll be there in just a bit." "Okay, see you soon," I say, hanging up the phone and leaving the agency. Poe should get here right before the cab. Poe and I haven't worked together in a while. I really like working with him. He's nice and gets me good candy.
Poe soon arrives outside the agency. Karl jumps off Poe’s shoulder and onto mine, then walks over to me. “So, when is the cab getting here, dear?” he asks. “Now,” I reply just as a car turns the corner. “It’s here,” I say as our cab slows down. I open the door and jokingly say, “Ladies first.”
Poe rolls his eyes but gets out anyway. "Thank you, Sir," he says sarcastically.

"Hello, we're Edogawa Ranpo and Edgar Allen Poe. We're detectives," I say to the security guard.
"Certainly, you can go to house 54321, which is located at the end. However, right now, please head to house 54322, next door. You two will likely be driving between here and the morgue, but it’s less than 10 minutes away, and we will drive you there," the security guard said as he opened the gate and let us in.
"I am Edgar A. Poe, and this is Edogawa Ranpo. We’re detectives," Poe introduced himself to the officers inside.
"Oh yes, I heard a lot about you two," the woman inside the house says. "All of the bodies I've seen so far look like they've been torn to shreds or just a bloody pulp," she says.
"May I please examine the bodies? We would benefit from a cause of death, ma'am," Poe asks. And puts his hands in his pockets.
" yes so we do need to see the bodies to see what the cause of death might have been and then I will- we will most likely find out what the ability is"
"Ma'am, can you please let us into the house?" Poe asks.
"O-oh yes sorry, do you want me to go in with you?"
"No. We're fine on our own. I need you to stay within the perimeter though." Poe says.
"Ok the body is in the master bedroom on the top floor," the woman says.
"Thank youuu~," I said going to the bedroom, Poe following close behind me as we entered the room we were immediately met with the body, well more like a pile. There was a folder on the bed with the report on the person.

Last but not least a report
Fumiko was scheduled to go on vacation with her parents on May 10, 2013. Her body was found dead three days before she left, on May 7, 2013.
"W-what the fuck..." Poe says, triggered by the mutilated body in front of him. "... I need a second..." He says, clutching his stomach. He walks away, and after a few seconds, I hear him retching. It seems that the brutality is too much for him.
I walked over to the body that was found 5 days ago. Yet the body isn't decomposing at all and there's no strong smell. There is a smell but it’s not as strong as it should be. This is definitely the work of an ability user... Poe's still vomiting. I guess I'll help him.
"So queasy," I say leaning down, sweeping all the hair from Poe's face and patting his back. "You done Ed or...?" I say looking down.
He nods, sitting back up and wiping his mouth. "Yeah... sorry. It just... was too much for me," he says. He's so close to me that I'm almost holding him.
He looks back up at me and blushes before moving back. 'Um... let's go back' he says standing up. When he stands I grab him pulling him close to me.
