Eugene POV:
"I'm already back here...." Eugene thought as he unpacked his bags. The horrid images of the Hyde gutting him flashed through his mind at the mere thought of Nevermore, but now he was back. "Everything should go smooth, this should be My Year". Eugene had agreed to be roommate with Wednesday's younger brother, Pugsley Addams. Eugene had made a mental image of Pugsley being a carbon copy of Wednesday; y'know... dark, introverted? Upon Pugsley's arrival you could say Eugene was somewhat disappointed.

The Addams family arrived and while Gomez was admiring this room, Eugene and Pugsley shared a swift handshake. This handshake ignited a spark between them both figuratively and literally.
Eugene: *shock*... Electricity. Cool
"This guy is nothing like Wednesday, he's tall and broad but he's Clueless!" Eugene thought, "He's weird and definitely the black sheep of the Addams Family, he even thought my trauma was awesome? I mean how abnormal does it get than thinking being gutted alive is awesome?"
Pugsley POV:
"This place seems so cool" Pugsley thought while brainstorming the different torture methods and experiments he would run in this place. Pugsley and his family got upstairs to the shared room with...Eugene Ottinger. As Pugsley walked in his father admired the room while he shook Eugene's hand. "This guys adorable, all the people at home look so sharp and unapproachable. His hand was so soft and warm"...*shock*....Pugsley just stood there with an awkward smile not knowing how to apologize for this minor electrocution. "This guy is so awesome, he got GUTTED by a monster??? It doesn't get cooler than that, except maybe being fried by a dragon. He even said he wakes up screaming." Pugsley thought. He had hopes that they would be life long friends.

Eugene POV:
It has been about 2 weeks since the whole zombie fiasco and we'd almost gotten expelled. He didn't even say sorry, he just sits there with that awkward goofy grin and endlessly dark eyes that sparkle when he gets excited. He keeps shocking me with every bit of physical contact, I'm near sick of it. I dont know why I agreed to this, he's the worst roommate you could ask for. However....*Eugene has a change in mind*...he does always listen to be ramble about my bugs and all their interesting facts, he stays up late to listen even when its near midnight. Sometimes when I have my nightmares about Tyler, he never complains about my screams, though I wish he'd comfort me..y'know and hug me back to sle- WHY THE HELL AM I THINKING THINGS LIKE THA-
*Pugsley barged into the room with that usual goofy grin*
Pugsley: EUGENE *runs up and stops right before running into Eugene* I had the most AWESOME day today..
Eugene listened to Pugsley ramble on about his day but he wasn't really listening, he was observing all of Pugsley features like his empty-void like eyes and his crooked smile, he noticed the dark circles around his eyes and the way he would express his excitement...
*Eugene......Eugene.......OTTINGER* Eugene's head shakes as he recollects himself. "Yeah?" Eugene Blabbers out, "Were you even listening?" Pugsley exclaimed. "Yeah of course" said Eugene. *Pugsley's smile grew and he grabbed both Eugene's shoulders* "You're seriously the best Roommate anyone could ask for..you have such cool things like bugs and random insect carcasses. I couldn't ask for anyone better.."
Eugene felt like there were hundreds of bees in his core all buzzing around. "I- thank you.." Eugene said awkwardly "y'know you're a pretty good roommate as well..you always listen to my rambling and you dont complain about my antics, you are pretty weird but Its tolerable. But ya are still really annoying for getting me into trouble"
*Pugsley smiled stupidly* "I listen because I find all of the things you say interesting and Wednesday told me you were outcasted last year..so I dont want you to feel like that especially not around me." Pugsley expressed. "WEIRD AND ANNOYING....Eugene always knows the right things to say", He thought. *Pugsley shocks Eugene as his excitement was getting to him and rips his hands away*. "Sorry about that" Pugsley nervously added.
*Eugene winced in pain as the electricity burns his shoulder* "what the fuck man? Why do you have to ruin every good moment?" Eugene exclaimed.
Pugsley: I'm sorry, it just happens sometimes, I'm getting used to it. I was sticking my fingers into electric sockets for years and now I have this ability. It does run in my family though.
Eugene: Whatever man just stop bothering me and go about your night.
*The night had a lot of rough nerves and cold air.* *Pugsley looked down at his hands as his harsh emotions causing chains of electricity to connect his fingers, Pugsley balled up his fists and forced himself to sleep*

*The bright morning sun flooded the room as Pugsley's Herren chirp alarm goes off at 5:30 am*
Eugene tossed and turned before waking up to the dreadful noises. "W-what the hell man" *Eugene searched for his glasses and put them on before looking up and gasped at the sight of Pugsley standing right in front of his bed*
"Horrible morning to you, Eugene. " *Pugsley was smiling ear to ear* "I promise I will never touch you again so I dont electrocute you. Problem solved.
Eugene: Well you dont have to go that fa-
Pugsley: get out of bed Eugene its 5:30 and we have class at 8:30
Eugene: *looking at Pugsley like he's dumb* are you serious. *takes off his glasses and turns back over to sleep* I swear to dragonflies. This is our LAST day as roommates.
Pugsley: what?
Eugene: nothing.

*30 minutes pass*
Pugsley: Eugene I know you aren't sleeping
Eugene: no shit, you woke me up at the crack of dawn...
Pugsley: I thought I woke you up later than I should've? While your laying here wasting time we could already discovered 35 new ways to hurt ourselves!
Eugene: *dumb founded* PUGSLEY *sits up* NOBODY enjoys pain. No one at all. You Addams family freaks are the only ones in the entire world. Between you almost getting me expelled, You trying to EAT my pets, you almost getting me eaten by a ZOMBIE, I'm in more danger with you than I was with the Hyde. You are so difficult to be friends with I dont know how anyone tolerates the shit you pull on a daily basis. I should've ignored Wednesday and went with my friends.
Pugsley: *snaps at Eugene* why would you say something like that to me, I'm your only friend. Well other than my sister *confused and slightly aggravated look*
Eugene: that's not true. I have many other friends like Bianca, Xavio-
Pugsley: *cuts him off and raises his voice* You're so gullible, none of those people are your real friends. They only tolerate you because you're friends with Wednesday and you helped saved the school. If you had never done any of that than none of those people would have ever talked to you. You would've been the same loser sitting in the shack rambling on about bees to people who dont even care about insects. You need to learn how to read people and pick your friends wisely.
Eugene: That's not true-
Pugsley: Yes it is. You know it is too. You'd rather run around with people who dont even like you than someone who actually thinks your cool. When my sister told me about all the cool bugs than you have I was so excited to meet you and you've been cold to me the entire time. You let all the fame get to you, stop being such a gullible little bitch and maybe you wont be such a loser. You're a weirdo who sits in a shed taking care of bees all day. No one else is gonna find that to be cool but I do. Regardless of that you still treat me differently? Its so unfair!
Eugene: I haven't been cold to you? I dont treat you differently earlier! People do think my bees are cool..
Pugsley: EVERYONE thinks those bees are lame as shit. And at every wrong turn you say something like "This was a bad idea" or "I shouldn't have listened to Wednesday" I dont just ignore it, I just move past it for the sake of our friendship. Was there even a friendship to begin with? Do you actually like me or did you only do this because Wednesday said so?
Eugene: I- *his brows furrow and he sulks, riddled with guilt*
Pugsley: You know I'm all for being cold and hurting people physically and emotionally but we were supposed to do that together, not against one another. You're supposed to be my best friend. But now you're just treating me like I dont even matter to you??
*bell rings, 30 minutes until class*
Eugene: *gets up and scrambles into the bathroom* sorry. I've got to get ready. *Eugene sighs in relief upon entering the bathroom"
Pugsley: EUGENE! *sigh* you never pay attention...*gets up and makes his way to class, not that he'd pay any attention anyway*
Wednesday: *bumps into Pugsley in the hallway* what is troubling you, unfortunate blister.
Pugsley: Oh nothing, ill be fine. I can always cheer myself up by lighting something on fire
Wednesday: Why're you lying to me, confess your actions or I tell dad what happened to our brother.
Pugsley: *eyes widen in shock* ok deal. Eugene keeps being cold to me and I really wanna be friends with but..*explains the way Eugene's been acting*..but for some reason it feels like I'm really drawn to him, like he's so adorable and..*rambling on about Eugene*
Wednesday: if you keep describing Eugene like that I will puke. You are like an unwavering blister on ones heel.
Pugsley: I never wanna have to live without him....
Wednesday: You sound like dad. I dont have time for these unnecessary distractions, I have a busy day of school to attend to. After I will have to update my novel. Only then will you have a 30 minute window of conversation with me.
*Pugsley had a long day of overthinking and distraction, he even tried putting rat traps in the students desks. 7 people got snapped but Pugsley couldn't even enjoy it. He had noticed Eugene had been avoiding him all day.*
Pugsley: *spots Eugene across the lunch room* HEYY *aggressive waving*
Eugene: *looking down and avoiding eye contact, earning a frown from Pugsley*
*The rest of the day had gone similar, Pugsley was making his way down Ophelia hall to speak with his infamous raven of a sibling for his 30 minute window of conversation*

*Eugene had been mid conversation with Enid*
Enid: and then what happened?? *bursting with excitement*
Eugene: He told me I was being cold and rambled on about friendship. But what really got to me was the part about people only being friends with me because I helped save the school. I want to believe it isn't true but there always that voice in the back of your mind which causes you to doubt..
Enid: You know I dont like being serious but it does sound like you are being cold to him
Eugene: Because he's so weird Enid, he almost got expelled on the first week!! He tried to eat my pets??
Enid: But how would you feel if you were being treated differently because you have weird personality traits, I remember you didn't like it very much last year when you were alone. You're treating Pugsley exactly how everyone treated you
Eugene: *dramatic gasp* No I'm not, people exiled me because I was always the weird kid, I was bullied by everyone..
Enid: Getting gutted by a Hyde and saving the school doesn't make you any less weird. They aren't your friends, they're your fans. They only like you for your actions and not for you. Pugsley likes you for you. He doesn't care about stuff like saving schools. He listens to you ramble for hours because he cares, not because he wants to. Pugs is an Addams, do you seriously think he would do anything he didn't want to?
Eugene: Alright. You made your point but what do I even do about it
Enid: start with an apology and then you guy's relationship can bloom *dramatic hand motions*
Eugene: What relationship..?
Enid: Y'all like each other right?
Eugene: I- I could never like Pugsley like that. I mean he's super annoying and he's constantly putting me in bad situations.
Enid: You still choose to hang out with him though
Eugene: Because its fun being like that from time to time. And I really like being around him, it feels safer than being with anyone else, and that ridiculous grin he does. He's also really tall and hand- *pauses and looks at Enid who smirking at him* Damnit....This still doesn't mean I'm romantically interested in him...
Enid: Dont worry I'm sure he likes you back, and if you doubt it...Just wait. Wednesday told me the Addams family have.. weird ways of showing affection. Especially the men. *Eugene let out a deep sigh knowing he's gonna have to face Pugsley soon*
*Pugsley slowly walks toward Wednesday's door*
*knock*
