The Devil In Pink

Summary:

They called this creature, this- monster, a God. You called it the devil. It brought nothing but death and destruction, taking thousands. All with that terrifyingly human sadistic glee in its eyes. And you could see it now, in the way it purposefully charged through buildings, decimating the city. Your home. And, as you stood there, it noticed you.

•••

An au set with undertones of my main story, where The king of the monsters is pure evil, and you poorly get caught within those horrifying sharp claw

Chapter Text

You remember the days that felt so long ago, where everything was normal. Everyone went by their day to day. You remember the peace you felt, the ease you got when returning home to your mother and father, dad cooking something up and mom either helping you with homework or simply listening to you talk about your day, sharing hers with you.
You missed it.
That was weeks ago. Before alarms were sound, urgent news reports written, and safety bunkers created.

Before It came.

Monarch, a group of "specialists" as they called themselves, studied this...thing. They were the ones who suggested bunkers. You hated Monarch for one simple reason; they admired it too much for their own good. This creature of death. They called this creature, this- monster, a God. You called it the devil. It brought nothing but death and destruction, taking thousands. All with that terrifyingly human sadistic glee in its eyes. The videos haunted your subconscious. The people screaming, the shattering of concrete and glass. And that roar..

The governments associated with Monarch knew this thing existed before it started ravaging the world. Apparently they've known for decades. And now, when everything went to shit, they finally admitted it. You'd read that anything the military threw at it, it merely deflected. Even atomic bombs. Your species really were tiny bugs in its side.
Currently, you sat on your stiff bed inside your dorm of a bunker, scrolling through articles on your laptop. Your parents, as much as you hated it, were out at work. Everyone tried to keep everything going, tried to make it seem like a monster of destruction wasn't killing thousands across the globe. You couldn't stand it.

Your eyes narrowed as you read. You were young when it's first appearance happened in the current century. 2014. An attack on San Francisco. Destroyed the city, along with two other creatures, of which the military did manage to kill. "That's why San Francisco isn't habitable anymore..." you mumbled, connecting the dots. No videos were posted, probably because the government took them down. The next one, the one that caused world wide panic, was in 2019. It had traveled across the world, unremorsefully decimating cities with that fire breath of its. It seemed however, after 3 days, it retreated back to the oceans depths, not to be seen again until, well, now.
2 months ago, it began its destruction and death spree again. And this time, it didn't stop. At first, no one knew anything was wrong unless you lived in the place under attack. But soon, it hit news. And well, here you were.

Your eyes carefully examined the photos of it. Reptilian. Spikey. Dangerous claws and teeth. Blazing eyes of pink, and when not pink, scarily human like ambers. A chill went down your spine the more you stared. Those eyes felt like they pierced your soul, an intelligence that made your stomach sink. "Y/n?" You slammed it closed as your mother walked in, giving you a smile. "How was work?" You quickly asked. She sighed. "Well...alright I suppose. But, no one can stop talking about the creature. Apparently it looks like it's set course here." Your chest tightened. She gave you a small smile, walking over and carefully hugging you. "We'll be okay." You shook your head. "Mom, have you not seen what thing can do and has done?" She sighed, and she sounded close to tears as she whispered. "I know..."

•••

It was getting closer. Or, as the news media and Monarch had put it, He was getting closer. You don't think it deserved a gender really.
Everyday for the past 4 days, from what they could track of it, it was set course to your city. The growing panic of the people was stagnant, so heavy you could feel it fill your lungs. Your parents forbid you from leaving the bunker unless they were with you. The military had been setting up camps, placing barriers and preparing machines for its inevitable arrival. You doubted it would help. You tried to occupy yourself, but everything swirled back to it.

More bad news was being shed. You carefully read the newest article, proof pointing towards the creature being of alpha status. On its way here, it had stepped among the shores of an island, Ilsa de Mara, producing a fierce roar. And our of the depths of magma came another creature, eyes just as fiery as it's wings. And it laid waste to the island, and was now flying across the globe, seeming to be aiding the creature in its rage filled conquest to destroy. More sighting of monsters all around the world were circulating.

You truly never thought the end of the world would have come so soon.

•••

It happened so fast. One moment you were simply out shopping for nessicites with your parents, and then....the screaming. Shots and bombs were fired, but it did nothing. People were running, pushing and shoving. You were separated. "Mom! Dad!" You desperately screamed as people ran past you, the distant sounds of battle in the background fueling your panic.

A deep roar made everyone equally pause in fear, and you turned to look in the distance.

There it was.

Terrifying on video, horrifying in person.

Despite having bombs and heavy ammo loaded into it, it didn't appear to have so much as a scratch.

And it started glowing bright pink.

You ran as soon as you saw it, watching videos you knew what it meant.

The screaming started all over again, this time nearly quiet over the roar in the distance and hum of power that started doing irreparable damage. The ground shook as building collapsed on themselves, and you nearly lost your footing. Between the quakes and people pushing, it was difficult. "Mom! Dad!" You screamed again, looking all around for them. The ground dealthy shaking made you fall and whip your head back. Your eyes nearly buldged out of your head.

It was charging this way, breaking through buildings without care.

You were enveloped in dust and darkness as you cried out.

It felt like forever before you could see again.
Fires lit your way as you stumbled across broken roads, the crunching of glass under your feet. You felt dirty, covered in grime and sweat as you panted, looking around for any sign of life. "Hello?" You called out, hoping for someone to appear. Or at least, answer. Someone to be alive. You'd already walked past numerous dead ones. The only warmth you could feel was the hot tears down your cheeks. "Mom?" You cried out, wanting to be at home, safely tucked in her arms. Distant broken sirens were the only sound that greeted you back. A sob forced itself from your chest, but now was not the time for crying. You jogged through the streets of what once was your city, trying to find out exactly where you were. Maybe you could find the bunkers.

Your path was blocked. You frowned up at the broken building that blocked your way. It looked odd, broken the way it was. It still seemed...full. Like it simply just fell on its side perfectly. But it was really dark too.

Air hit you from your left, a warm puff.

Your heat skipped a beat, a broken whimper from your chest as your limbs locked up. That sounded much like a breath.

You didn't want to look. But the sound persisted, and you found yourself slowly turning your trembling body to the left. More darkness. But you looked up, up. Golden red eyes stared back down at you. You should have turned to back away, to run. But you couldn't. You couldn't breath. Your eyes trailed from its head to its neck and body. That building was in fact, not a building. That was part of its body. It seemed it found this area as a good resting place. The large cracks in the concrete made sense now. Another huff, followed by an ancient rumbled made your eyes dart back to its face. You couldn't tell what it was feeling or possibly thinking, but it was staring at you. You yelped as it persisted forward, snout entering your personal space. You tried to back away, ready to run, but it growled, a sound that you could feel in your spine, rooting you in place. It sniffed, huffing after a moment. You trembled, a sob fighting in your throat as you did your best to stay quiet. It had killed thousands for less than making sound. It rumbled again, and you watched as it retreated, pushing itself up. You could only stare as your eyed kept going up, and up, and up, until finally it seemed to be fully standing. But you couldn't see its head anymore. Not through the thick dust coating the entire area. But you could feel it and hear it as it walked away, the ground trembling and its tail dragging behind it. You let out a strained breath, darting in the other direction.

It didn't kill you.

You couldn't debate on why at the moment. It didn't kill you, and you were taking advantage of that instead.

•••

You still hadn't found the bunkers. You didn't even know where you were anymore. Distantly, you could hear the destruction, and the fierce roars, but they weren't close enough to you for you to care. But what you did find was a military outpost. It was shabby, only really a large tent, but there was supplies and maps. You leaned over the largest one, a map of the city. You could see where you currently were, and where the bunkers were. It was a trek. You sighed, looking up to see there was no real road to get there. But you'd still try. So, you snatched up the map, carefully holding it as you pressed forward.

It was difficult. Really difficult. The ground would sometimes shift, or the path was blocked or destroyed. And throughout your struggle, you could hear it, still wreaking havoc in the distance. It truly was evil. Despite it letting you live, it changed nothing. The city was quiet aside from its rampage. Everyone who lived here either was dead or in a bunker. It was simply destroying the city for- what, fun? Dominance? You didn't know. Monarch didn't either. You huffed to yourself, tripping once again. Your body started to ache, eyes heavy from all your crying and the stress. You examined the map. Hope glimmered in your chest. The bunker was close. Really close.

A snarl made you jump. It was close too.

You broke into a mad sprint, the bunkers hidden doors now within sight. You saw a man and women rush forward at the sight of you, military based on their outfits and firearms. "My god, it's a kid!" Usually you would've bated back that you were a teen, but decided against it now. The woman was quick to check you over, asking questions about your well being and name. "The doors are under heavy lockdown right now, it will take a few minutes to open." The man said to you, but you just nodded.

A roar made you jump, the man and women gripping their firearms. "Shit, it looks like He gets closer every damn minute." The women sneered. You grimaced as, yes, it did look like it was getting closer. Fire enveloped the horizon, it's dark figure visible through the flames. They weren't kidding when they said the doors would take a few minutes. You were tempted to simply say that you could squeeze through the small opening now in the doors, but you were sure they'd refuse you. "Y/n!" You froze, eyes widening as-
"Dad!" You cried, running to him as he and your mother squeezed through the doors. He wrapped you up tight as you cried into his chest, your mother behind you and hugging the both of you. "Oh, y/n, we were so scared.." Your mother whispered. "They refused to let us look for you." You father said, with a hint of anger. "Told us they'd handle it. Bullshit." Your mother would usually smack him upside the head, but it seemed she was simply comforted to hold you.
"I'm okay." You whispered. Because really, you were. You saw walking down the streets what could have happened to you.

The moment was broke when another snarl ripped through the air. Your father's arms tightened around you as the two personnel gripped their firearms again. There in the distance it stood. Facing your direction. Even from here you could see its blazing, horrible eyes. And, as you stood there, it seemed as if it noticed you. Looked right at you. The air was tense.
Everyone equally let out their own sounds as suddenly, it started walking this way. "Inside, get inside NOW!" The man shouted, and your father and mother were quick to pull you. But you couldn't look away from it. Him. He started glowing. The sound charging up. You realized what was happening. "MOVE!"

You yanked your parents away from the door and ran. "Y/n?!" Your mother said in shock. You watched in horror as just as fast, the pink beam of fire exited His mouth, reaching your location quickly. You didn't even hear the man and women scream before they were swallowed by the flame. And the bunker. The door was blown in, a distinct sound of metal popping. You and your parents were thrown forward by the force, your hand ripped from your fathers as you collided with the ground. Grunting in pain, you stared back in horror. The bunker was just...gone. What was left was simply empty space and melted metal. Like it didn't even exist in the first place. And the smell hit you quick. There were thousands of people all in that one large place, cooked all at once. You gagged. "Y/n!" Your mother shouted. It seemed you all had been separated from the blast.
You scrambled to your feet, but the sudden quakes made you stumble and look to your right. And once again, your limbs locked up as you sucked in a strangled breath.

He lowered Himself to all fours, clawed hands shaking the earth. Ever so slowly, His head lowered too. You didn't look up, staring instead at your parents horrified faces. You felt the hot air from above, and carefully looked up. Again, He was staring at you. Sniffing. He tilted His head, a look in His eyes that made you tremble. "Hey!" In an instant His head snapped towards your father, a snarl on His face. "Dad?! What are you doing?!" You shouted. "Run y/n!!" He didn't answer you. A huff made you stumble backwards, edging away as now He seemed to be looking between you and your father. It made you wonder, did He understand the words being said? Or was He responding to who was making noise? Your panic attacked full force when suddenly, He huffed again, a distinct noise that you could relate to a chuckle or laugh, and His pupils shrunk. It was such an evil and scary look. You instantly flinched away, running as you heard your parents shout to you. You saw them running too, and realized how truly pathetic you all probably looked to this creature. This devil.

Something slammed down in front of you, making you scream as you fell back. You noticed scales and looked up. His hand. Those sharp claws made you whimper as you stood, backing away. Bit then you heard Him rumble, and whipped back around, instinctively still backing away until you collided with His hand. It seemed thats what He wanted, because He started to push you forward, and if you didn't want your legs to break under the pressure you were forced along with it. Closer to Him. You felt your tears stream down your face the closer you got, your parents shouts echoing in your brain. He huffed in your face, His maw opening revealing many sharp teeth. You pinned your eyes closed, pushing against Him as much as you could even through your trembles. Something disgustingly wet and slimey licked up your side, coating your body and face in it, making you whimper in disgust and fear. Peeking your eyes open, you looked just in time as His tongue retreated back into His snout. Your father shouted for you again, making you dart your terrified eyes over to him. You wanted to shout to him, to tell them to leave, but nothing more than a strained cry came from you. Again, you felt the weight of those eyes, eyes that pierced your soul, look to you again. He had to know you were terrified. Maybe getting a kick out of your petrified reaction to Him. It made you sick. His growl made you whimper, and you saw His eyes look back to your parents. His body shifted, you couldn't see what exactly He was doing until it came into view. His tail, you realized. You could hear it dragging on the ground, cutting through the air. It curled in the air above all of you, before you saw His eyes narrow. "No..." you whispered. "No- no NO! DON'T- RUN!" You screamed, shifting your attention from Him to your parents. Their faces paled once they realized what was happening. Your mother looked straight to you, tears falling as you begged for her to run. But you knew. She knew. They wouldn't make it far enough away. "Survive, my darling daughter. You will get through this." She mouthed to you, and you felt your heart stop the moment her 'I love you' came out.

His tail swiped the surface, and within the second your parents stood before you, they were gone.

Gone.

You fell to your knees, ready to simply scream and cry and shrivel away. But you weren't given any time to grieve. You stared up at this- this monster as He looked back to you, a disgusting look of satisfaction in His eyes. What now? Your mother's words repeated, but how were you supposed to survive when this monster still held you captive in its eyes? Did He kill your parents to watch you suffer before doing the same? You breath in a shudder as He leaned down once again, snout nearly pressing against you. A sharp, excruciating pain erupted from your head, and you cried out as your hands reached up to hold your head. One simple word echoed in your head, a booming voice that reminded you too much of the booming roar, and it made you tremble and cry all the same.

'Mine.'

What did that mean? What the hell was that? You felt weak, body suddenly falling forward and onto the snout before you. A short rumble and huff was the reaction you got, and you watched through blurry eyes as it seemed He curled around you. "Kill me..." you whimpered, between the physical, mental and emotional pain you just wanted it all the end. You were not granted your wish. Instead, you got another lick, this one more deliberate, followed by more all across your body as He rumbled. Tasting you? Or....
Cleaning you?

'Mine.'

You repeated the word under your breath, fatigue hitting you all at once. It didn't matter that you were pressed up against death. Maybe it would do you a favor and kill you in your sleep.

That terifying rumble was all you heard as your world went black.

Chapter Text

It'd been about 3 weeks now since it all happened. Since your city was destroyed. Since everyone was killed. Since your parents died. Since the monster had taken you.

You constantly were switching between being in hard survivor mode, to a complete wreck. Food wasn't necessarily hard to come by, after all there was bound to be food everywhere in a city like yours, ruined or not. Clothes....a different story.

You still hadn't figured out why the monster was keeping you to begin with. He too seemed to switch personalities. One, the one you viewed as His true self, malicious and violent, actively destroying and killing simply because it seemed He could. And then...what scared you more. A more docile version of Him. Quieter, calmer. The way He crooned to you as He would curl much like a cat around you, sleeping away or trying to get and keep your attention scared you. It was such a drastic change.

At first, you distanced yourself as much as you could, running as far and as fast as you could every second He didn't pay attention. But it began to be tiring. You never rested between each attempt. So instead, you came up with a different plan. You would wait until He really lacked attention to you. Then you would run. But it was taking long. Despite the fact that He would leave you to continue forward and do more destruction, He always managed to just know when you started to drift farther away. A deep growl followed by narrowed eyes always greeted you everytime. You really hated Him.

Currently, it was just breaking dawn, but you couldn't sleep. You could barely sleep anymore. So instead, you sat tucked against His neck where it seemed He preferred you to be, a strong warmth from Him that kept you from being cold throughout the night, despite being a reptile. Your fingers traced the patterns in His scales, zoned out enough that you could pretend you were tracing something else. Your eyes were heavy, having wept through the night after your brief escape. He had again left you to your own, and you had been focused on an escape when suddenly you knew where you were. And, silently as you could, you ran. And soon you stood before the spot it really all began.

The bunker.

The stench never left, but you could barely focus on that as you ran around, eyes desperately searching. Foolishly, you hoped that by some miracle, your parents would appear and start running to you. That your mother would wrap her arms around you. "Mom?" You whispered, despite knowing the truth. You saw what happened. But you pressed on. Their bodies would suffice. But there was nothing. Your heart, already shattered, broke again.
A call in the distance made you tense, before wiping your face as you slowly made your way back. He was far to close for you to consider running. He'd catch you just as He did everytime.

But the dam broke as you tried to sleep.

A huff made you pause in your tracing, waiting for more signs. His muscles tensed up as He stretched, His huge maw opening with a yawn as His tongue curled funny everytime He did. He pushed Himself up, looking to you with a small purr like noise. You simply stood, waiting to see where He'd go today. You cringed slightly at how gross you felt. During your crying fit through the night He'd been licking you to give what you assumed was comfort, and now, well, you really felt it's dried stickiness. You carefully steadied yourself as He rose, learning by now after a few falls that despite being careful He still really shook the ground. You slowly walked forward after He began walking, looking back to you with a huff.

"And so another day begins..." you silently grumbled.

•••

It seemed you would never lose the frown on your face. You watched from a safe distance, chewing on nearly stale food as He trampled through more of the city that was still intact. He really wanted everything gone. A dark part of your mind wondered if maybe other survivors like you were among the wreckage, thinking they were safe, until He now showed up. It was possible. You were interrupted when, quite literally, your thoughts became real. Despite being a distance away you still heard the gunshots. Instantly His attention turned, pupils shrunk and that deathly snarl on His face as He whipped to look at the direction the noise came from. You quickly swallowed your food, chest tight as you knew what was coming. But despite the guilt of knowing what would happen, you saw an opportunity. Your chance of escape. As soonas you heard more gunshots and the furious roar of Him, you shot to your feet and ran.

Where exactly? You weren't sure. Your goal was simply to get out of the city. Tripping and stumbling over yourself, you pushed as hard as you could. You couldn't tell how much time had passed, how many times your lungs burned and forced you to slow down. But now, all the noise that greeted you was simply a breeze, stray garbage flying around. And the silence. You could still hear the sounds of destruction in the distance, but you weren't quite sure if that was simply because it was ingrained in your head now. You kept pushing, hoping to find a way to a more inland, smaller city with surviving citizens. What would you tell them about your situation? Would anyone believe you? Probably not. But you wouldn't let that stop you.

A horrible, furious roar echoed over the wasteland, and made your limbs tremble and run faster. You'd never heard that kind of sound come from Him, and you did not want to see what caused it.

The ground shook.

•••

He never thought this would happen to Him. In this manner, at least. His rage always clouded over His wants. But the thought of having and raising a pup crossed His mind from time to time over His lifespan.

And then an opportunity presented itself.

Another human settlement for Him to destroy was what brought it to Him. Nothing out of His usual patterns. Until, in a moment of rest, He picked up a scent. Young. Scared. And then He saw a pup. Saw you. He knew humans had many pups, but never did He bother to look. Why would He? But this was different. This pup was before Him, all alone, clearly frightened by Him. Curiosity clouded His better judgement. A simple investigation was all it was supposed to be. He offered a reward of escape for it, her, being brave enough to not run from Him.

But then she didn't leave His mind.

He could care less about humans, but even He knew they could be evil little creatures. And there was a pup, all alone running around His destruction. What if they hurt her? He has to snarl to Himself every time He thought that. He shouldn't care. But...

He wanted too.

He could feel His instincts, something in Him to trickled over like hot water, cry to life slowly as time passed. Thoughts of 'find pup', 'save pup', echoed in His head, making it harder and harder for Him to simply focus. He wanted a pup. But a human? Out of the questions. He felt Himself growl at the very thought of not considering the human His pup. What made them so different from the rest of their vile kind?

He found Himself giving in, if to release the pressure nagging His head.

And a strange reaction happened the moment He located the pup.

Many other scents melded with hers, and He could stop other humans around her. Holding her. What were they doing? Were they a threat? His body responded accordingly to His thoughts. And when He finally found Himself before pup again, He realized just who exactly the other humans were. She called the male dad. A term He easily found related to a paternal figure. He was sure the female was the maternal one.

That wouldn't do.

No, He needed to know why He seemed so fixated on His- this pup.

He acted swiftly to get rid of the pests, satisfaction, and slight glee, brushing Him like the waves.

Now He could try to figure out what was so special about this pup in peace.

And special she was.

The bond just grew day by day, and the ever growing affection for her brushed away all thoughts of simply leaving her.

She was His pup now.

He'd never leave her.

Thought in mind, He huffed in disgust, having finally hunted down the foolish humans that attempted to harm Him. The ordeal distracted Him, and He turned to check on pup. He couldn't see her anywhere.

He called for her, a sound she'd learned the meaning of. No reply.

His eyes narrowed.

He walked to where He'd seen her, sniffing the area. He could feel the ice cold shock and fear when her scent was...distant. His frantic search began, calling out for her. What if there were more of those humans and they'd taken her while He was distracted. A furious roar echoed through the ruin. His nostrils flared and pupils shrunk the moment He caught wind of her scent, flowing through the air like she was calling for Him.

And who would He be to ignore His pups call?

•••

You couldn't stop the panicked scream that left your throat as you dared a glance back. He was charging, and there was no way you could possibly outrun Him. You glanced around. No, you couldn't outrun Him. Not in a full on race. But maybe if there were obstacles for Him...you bolted into a store. You could hear Him snarl from outside as you made your way through, panting. "Shit-" you hissed as the ground shook and suddenly from the stores front windows you saw an amber eye looking in. You threw yourself to the ground, army crawling all the way to the emergency exit. You did not expect Him to do that. Once you were on your feet again you took off. You heard Him snarl, before the quakes started again. He wasn't running now; He knew you were still close by. No doubt He could smell you. You darted behind a truck and quieted yourself as much as you could, body shaking from more than His powerful steps. Through the side mirror you could see His scales, no doubt His leg. And to your relief He kept moving, all while crooning and purring as if to coax you out. "Fuck you..." you hissed between your teeth as you sauntered forward, running down a different street. One thing that scared you the most; you could hear Him, but you couldn't see Him. Twisting around buildings and wreckage proved to be good hiding places, but at any second He could look around one and spot you. The only thing telling you of His whereabouts was His steps. But at tines He stopped, making you also freeze. And He would just...go silent. You couldn't even hear Him breathe. So you too stopped, crouched down low and held a hand over your mouth and waited for Him to make a move.

But this time, He didn't.

You waited and waited...

But nothing. Just...

Silence.

You couldn't afford to just sit forever.

Carefully standing, you opted to stick closer to the wreckage and buildings, sneaking through them and pausing to listen. You did not like this one bit. You turned down a street, eyes widening at the large sign in the distance, directing you to a highway. That was something. You wanted to cry in relief, stalking down the road.

All your muscles seized the moment a breathy wind from behind you disturbed the loud silence. That was not just wind.

You couldn't stop your whimper.

•••

He wasn't quite sure what pup was doing. Of course, she'd tried to run off a few times now, but He thought she'd grown to realize His role now. He knew she was here. Was close. But she stayed out of sight. Hiding?

Maybe she just wanted to play. He crooned to Himself, relishing in the possibility she was trying to play and bond with Him. He was all too happy to indulge her. However even through the playfulness He realized she did make quite the good hider. It made His nerves flare briefly. But alas, He found her, however she hadn't noticed. He crouched down behind her, as low to ground as He could be, and watched with amusement as she obliviously revealed herself. She was lucky it was Him who had snuck up on her and not...
He disregarded those thoughts as soon as they came, a small snarl on His face at even thinking of pup getting hurt. He wouldn't allow such a thing. He huffed to Himself, although He realized that gave Him away.

Pup stopped moving.

The scent of her fear was tangible, filling His nostrils and reeking the area. His face screwed, the smell attacking Him. Pup shouldn't be so scared of Him. It perhaps didnt help with His conflicting emotion either. The smell of fear usually enticed Him, drew Him in and made Him giddy. But when it was pups fear? It changed into a fierce protectivness, instincts screaming at Him to elimate the threat and tend to His pup. His emotions and instincts clashed.

Pup finally looked at Him. Perhaps the way He looked right now, fighting between urges and thoughts frightened her even more, because her eyes widened. He needed to show pup there was no need for fear, His claws breaking through whatever hard material the humans put everywhere with a crunch as He wanted to move forward, make a nest and safely have pup in it.

She ran.

He growled, short and surprised, before instinct took over and He was left blind.

•••

He looked pissed. You clearly crossed a line, and now He was going to do away with you. Your mother's final wish echoed in your head.

You turned, and ran.

Cutting a corner and making a hard turn, away from where you wanted, you shuffled into a building to try and lose Him. You gasped in fright when you saw His clawed hand slam into the ground, realizing He was chasing you on all fours now like a proper animal. Huffs and growls filled the space as He paused, and you ran to find an emergency exit. And you were lucky you did, because not a second later did He let out a ferocious roar and whip at the building with His hand. You couldn't stop your frightful shriek as debris fell and scattered all around you, the structure falling like dominos. You heard Him grunt, the ground violently shaking as He rushed around the wreckage. You shrieked and bolted, weaving around the mess, fear ripping at your chest and heart pounding the closer He got. You could practically feel His breath against your back as He closed in. Another building was infrojt of you, you were so close-

"No!"

You shrieked as you fell, His snout pushing you down. His growl vibrated your whole body, and you started to flail. "Get off me!" You cried, wiggling out from under Him. His jaw opened, revealing that large disgusting mouth with rows of sharp jagged teeth.

You were dead.

You screamed, angling yourself away, to do what? You didn't know. You weren't thinking of anything but death.

It got disgustingly warm and wet.

You opened your eyes to see what was happening, the brief light quickly fading away. But you knew. You saw pink, gums, tongue, teeth. You were in His mouth, a mouth He just snapped shut and left you in darkness. You pushed yourself up against His gum as much as you could, far away from His throat even as His tongue seemed to curl in a way that blocked you from going down said place. Hands clenching yourself so hard it hurt, you didn't know what to do.
You cried. Sobbed. What else could you do? You weren't opening His mouth of your own accord. Any second He could swallow.

But it never came.

You sat in there for much longer than you would have thought - or liked - possible, and then the rush of fresh air hit you as the light poured in. Before you could comprehend what was happening, you were falling. Shrieking in shock as you plopped out of His mouth and landed on something hard, but soft with slight give. Whipping your head all around, a noise of confusion definitely came from you. Grass? All around you was grass, and some dirt. In a near perfect circle there was an indent in the ground, what you were in, large enough to fit Him in it.

A huff above you made you flinch and look up.

He didn't look entirely pleased, with you or whatever He's made you didn't know. But you for sure knew you weren't escaping again anytime soon. Not with that feral look in His eyes.
His eyes narrowed, before He gave a short rumble, and that was all the warning you got before suddenly pain was in your head. Your hands flew up to grip your head, a gasp and pained hiss coming from you as your whole body tensed. It got worse and worse, you felt more tears form in your eyes from the sheer amount of pressure that built in your head.

'Do not try that again.'

You flinched, eyes widening in pain and shock. That was not a thought of yours. The voice was deep and...ancient sounding, you could easily tell that past the muffled sound of it. "What-" you choked out, only to stop as it spoke again.

'This is for your safety, pup. You will get hurt left uncared for.'

The pain was just unbearable. Your eyes felt like they wanted to roll to the back of your head, the only sound coming from you was a breathy whimper, head aching so bad you couldn't produce any words. You felt yourself going limp, body ready to succumb.

'Rest pup. I will protect you. Nothing and no one will take you from me.'

An image passed your mind, like a dream you were trying to recount. But it wasn't your imagination, no. You didn't have clawed hands and scaled arms. And you certainly never dreamed of tearing apart another creature, or take pleasure in killing humans.

It didn't take a genius for you to figure out what- who - was talking to you.

You couldn't ponder it, because you felt your body shutting down, and then the world went black.

The alpha- king some may say - curled around His pup, fiercely looking around, daring any threat to get close. In the distance, He picked up another scent, easily human. But right now pup needed Him. No matter, once she was awake He could go hunting.

His tongue licked His teeth as He stared in the location the scent was coming from.

He wondered what a human would taste like.

Notes:

Part 2 lol
I went through with it considering this got more attention then I thought it would.
And I just thought to now describe how exactly Godzilla is in this au just for fun, or concept, or to clear confusion so here:
He does what he's doing simply just because he can. He enjoys destroying and killing. Of course, there's another reason why he targets humans as well, which is your typical reason I'm sure everyone can guess.
But that aside, he knows he has the power to do what he can, so he does it. If anything you should be grateful he's adopted you >:]
And he also doesn't really care for the other titans. He wouldn't exactly go out of his way to hunt them, but if they prove to be a nuisance to him, or threaten him, he definitely would. Or now, in this case, threaten you too. Mothra has yet to hatch again in this au. And she doesn't exactly stop him from doing what he does. She calms him, and stops him from rampaging as often, but she can only do so much. But she won't actively go and hunt and destroy. She does try to help humans where and when she can, but that only does so much.

So really, the only beings safe from his real wrath in this au is you and Mothra.

And yes y'all, I'm aware there's probably spelling mistakes. If you want, go ahead and point them out and I'll go in and fix em!
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this wild ride of a one-shot!

Notes:

Honestly, I'd be down to do a part 2 tbh.
Maybe with more goji and reader interaction. This was more of a first interaction kinda thing, and how it all starts.
There's just smth about the idea of monsterverse being like his predecessors that ithes my brain just right. Having an actual full on horror film around godzilla would be awesome. Not that the ogs aren't meant to be horror, but it ain't the same.
Lol goji really said "ykw? I like this pup. My pup now"
