The finale day before summer break.
It was when him and his friend were hanging around on the school grounds. Just a typical afternoon after school, hanging out for at least half an hour before Cha Euijae goes back to his house and Hong Yeseong getting picked up by his parents.
Cha Euijae tore open the bag of chips as Hong Yeseong sat down next to him, clutching his chicken plush close to him. The two chatted about their day before summer started.
"Are you really gonna switch schools next year?" Hong Yeseong leaned towards Cha Euijae, a chip between his lips as he spoke.
"I'm not sure."
"Then do you wanna hang out in summer?"
"Sure, why not."
"Great."
Cha Euijae stood up, holding the bag of chips as his friend followed. Now a part of their routine: walking around the school for no reason at all. They walked through the halls, fields and the canteens. When they reached the school's little fountain. Cha Euijae spotted a boy sitting on a bench nearby, staring into the sky.
He might be a little crazy but his heart started to beat faster as he felt time stopped as he unknowingly admired the unknown boy's ethereal beauty. Being so deeply and madly in love for the first time ever in his life, he couldn't even hear his friend's loud attempts to bring him back to reality.
"Hello??? Helloooo!!!" That was when Cha Euijae snapped back into the real world as he covered his ears before Hong Yeseong decided to torture his ears. "Man, you look like a character in a drama falling in love at first sight." He snorted.
"Uh, huh? I mean, wait what?" Cha Euijae's jittery speech made Hong Yeseong laugh out loud, he could feel his cheeks burning.
"Ahaha! You've gotta hit him up next year because today's the last day..." Hong Yeseong managed to advise while running his hand through his brown hair. "Heard that kid's name is Lee Sayoung. He got into fights with that pastor's kid a lot this year." He snorted again.
"Lee Sayoung..." Cha Euijae murmured dreamily. "I'll remember that..." He mumbled, being pulled away bu Hong Yeseong to not get locked in this school since it was time for them to leave. His eyes were focused on the boy in the process of being dragged away.
