"..........ugh" Gaku woked up
"Where am I?" Gaku looked around, he was wet, it looked like he was in a caved area, he felt a pain in his left leg, the bones were broken, he took his medic kit and tried to patch it up.
"Gah! *gasp* two sticks, bandage, this is going to be painful." Gaku took a deep breath and proceed to wrap his left leg with bandage, he resisted the pain and was done with his leg.
"Alright... what happened?" Gaku tried to remenber what happened.
Few hours ago, There was a squad out exploring. Takumi, Nozomi, Kurara and Gaku were looking for the usual stuff for materials.
"Okay, we found the last bit of the materials we need." Takumi commented.
"Well then, lets head back." Nozomi said.
As they went to the direction of the academy.
"Hurry up, Gaku! We don't want to leave you to die you sorry poor butt!" Kurara shouted.
"Shut up! I coming! Geez." Gaku said annoyed. That's how Gaku and Kurara start a conversation, now they are talking about cooking.
"These two are having a good time, right Takumi?" Nozomi said smilling.
"Huh? Oh yeah." Takumi said while blushing. He just saw Nozomis smile, it wS so cute.
"What if they become a couple?" Nozomi asked curious.
"Oh? Well I'm more worried what Gaku does." Takumi said his concern.
"I'm sure they can work it out, Kurara might exaggerate sometimes but she can act kind and mature. While Gaku... I'm sure you know him pretty well, you two are best friends, I trust him so you should too." Nozomi explained.
"Mmmmm, I trust Gaku, but you know how he is, one point he is kind and at another point he is greedy and weird." Takumi commented.
"Yeah, he can go and be weird, but that's Gaku, he may act rashly at times but that's the person Kurara is interacting with, she knows what she's getting into." Nozomi explained. "But if Gaku acts up, Kurara will beat him so I ain't worried."
"True" Takumi said laughing. Which made Nozomi laugh too.
"I can hear you guys." Gaku said flustered.
"Hehe, sorry" Nozomi said apologising.
"Don't bother, Gaku need to hear how lame he is! He's not worth my time." Kurara insulted again.
"Come on! We were having a normal talk!" Gaku complained.
Everyone started to laugh, but that went away as soon it started to rain badly.
"Hey, not to be the guy but I can't see anything!" Gaku shouted.
"No kidding! This rain is bearable but the wind! I can't- I can't see!!!" Takumi shouted worried.
"This is likely a storm! Is a natural phenomenal that has a big rain, heavy winds and-" Nozomis words were cut out when a loud "bang" was made.
"Eeeeeek!" Nozomi got scared.
"Nozomi!" Takumi got corcerned.
"I- I'm alright, Lets stay focused." Nozomi reassure Takumi that she was fine.
"Quit worrying, Nozomi said she is fine!" Kurara commented.
"We need to move, lets run before-" Takumi didn't finished what he said after looking the invaders infront of him.
"Huh!? Invaders! Right now!!! We don't have time for this misfits!" Kurara shouted angry.
"This is bad, I'm getting wet! I feel heavy!" Gaku shouted panicking.
Takumi was thinking but there was no way they can fight in this condition, so his first insticts was grabbing Nozomis hand and.
"Run!" He shouted and ran the way. "Run away and find a safe spot to hide! We wait for the storm to end and gather together later!!!" Takumi explained quickly.
Takumi took Nozomi with him and ran. While Gaku and Kurara went to the other side.
"This Casanova taking Nozomi with his perverted hands! At least I know she is safe." Kurara complained.
"Hey, lets stick together! We can protect eachother-" "GAKU BEHIND YOU!!!" Kurara screamed, Gaku turned around but couldn't see what she meant but it hit his body and fell unconscious, he felt like he was lauched.
"GAKU!!! YOU IDIOT!" Gaku heard before losing all senses.
And that's what he remenbered.
"Not even a worried scream, that girl doesn't know that I'm alive." Gaku was annoyed. He looked around to see if he could find something. He noticed a weird looking house, in the middle of nowhere.
".......... Better do it or stay here to die." Gaku didn't wanted to but he had no choice, he started to move and was welcomed with a pain that made him hate life, he almost didn't make it but he was at the place.
"It looks okay... maybe if I go inside?" Gaku opened the door slowly.
"Oh, there's stuff here." Gaku looked around, a chimeny, cabinets with some plates and cooking stuff, a window and a bed.
"Wow! I think I can manage it here." Gaku looked around making sure to remove the dust from the house, as much he hate it, he had to clean.
"Huh? There's something under the bed?" He saw something under the bed it was a few boxes, and there were clothes inside.
"Sweet! Now I can leave my clothes to dry." Gaku changed to the clean clothes, he had a blue t shirt and black pants.
After a few minutes, Gaku had the house clean, his clothes drying up and gathered the cooking equipment.
"Okay, I have some logs and a blanket from the exploration, dammit! Kurara had the lighters! I guess I have to find something." Gaku grabbed his infuser and trasformed, he went to look around for an exit from the cave, as much he had a broken leg he didn't had a choice. It went for sometime but he managed to guide himself to the surface, it looked like he was at the coast side the same place where he got seperated from his friends.
"The storm stopped. There's a lot of logs in the way, it seems I can't pass, I guess I should look at this area maybe a something useful." Gaku needed to keep it calm and try to handle this. It not the same as being in the orphanage but he can manage for himself.
It went for a hour now, he gather some stuff for the night. Since it was almost nightime and he was tired then maybe sleeping in that house is a better option. Gaku was heading back to the cave and he noticed something he didn't see when he got out.
"Huh!? Isn't that?" Gaku took a closer look and walked toward the object he found it looked like.
"A green tomato mask!" It wasn't just a green tomato mask, it was Kuraras mask.
"But? Where's Kurara!? KURARA!!!" Gaku yelled her name out load. He saw a trail of water and he followed for a little while and found a store.
"Oh please be there." Gaku entered the building and tried to be careful.
"Achoo!"
"GAAAAAAH!!!" Gaku got scared by the sudden noise but then his brain loaded.
"That was a cute sneeze? Hello!" Gaku shouted as moved to the source of the sneeze and found what it looked like Kurara on the floor.
"Gah, Gaku? Achoo!" Looks like Kurara caught the cold from the rain.
"Oh geez, let me check." Gaku touched Kuraras forehead and Kurara quickly smacked his hand. "You heating up, must be a cold, can you stand up?" Gaku asked.
"Don't touch me, *cough* cough* I fine! You stupid monkey, achoo!" Kurara sounded sick, a tear was escaping from her eye. "I hate this feeling." Kurara sounded defeated.
Gaku was worried, as much he wanted to see that side of Kurara, it felt not right to him. Gakus big brother insticts kicked in.
"Let me help you, allow me to take you to safety. I found a house inside the cave." Gaku explained.
"Gah" Kurara couldn't argue back. She felt so sick, she was sure that Gaku would take advantage of her, but what she saw was Gaku offering to help, she was conflicted of what to do or say.
Gaku carried Kurara like a princess, and started to head to cave, he didn't forget to take the stuff and her mask. It was so much pain but after a little trip he got inside the house.
"Kurara! I'll leave the room, you need to change clothes and leave the wet ones on the table so I can leave them to dry up." Gaku explained.
"Gah, just don't peek, please." Kurara said feeling nervous.
"I won't, I promise." Gaku said as he got out of the house and waited. 10 minutes passed and the door opened. Kurara have a purple t shirt and a pink long skirt. And had her clothes tended so it dries out.
"Okay, good now rest now you are in no condition to do anything, you need to recover." Gaku suggested.
"Don't even bother, I know what are you up to." Kurara said feeling hostile.
"Kurara..." Gaku knew that Kurara didn't trusted him. Of course who wouldn't trust him to take care a girl alone.
"You going to wait at the moment where I let my guard down, assault me and steal my money!!!" Kurara shouted explained what would happen.
"Kurara... I'm just trying to help." Gaku said confused and worried. Is that what Kurara thought who Gaku really was? Gaku didn't care for what people thought about him being greedy but it still hurted him, it made him feel sad.
"Of course you are! You are the same as everyone who tried to befriend me for my status, greed and lust, that's what they all have, and you are the perfect description!" Kurara shouted now shaking. She was scared, scared to trust Gaku, knowing full well that he is kind but the trust...
Trust, something that Kurara lost back home, after the servant she trusted so much turned out to be after her money, she couldn't openly trust anyone. Liars, it always liars, they always want something from Kurara, it always ends up her being alone yet again. She was lucky to have met her friends from second to last including Takumi, even if she doesn't like him she trust him both as a leader and as a person.
That's where she started to try to trust in others, Tsubasa, Hiruko, Takemaru. The others were a little hard to get friendly with, especially Eito because of how much he hates everyone, but Gaku was a special case.
Gaku was poor, obviously but he never lie about what he wanted, money, woman, fame. He said it himself, he acts like that but deep down he is caring, always looking out for everyone in his own way, when everything seems bad he gets an idea to motivate everyone. Getting to know him has made a impression on Kurara. But could she trust him after knowing his ups and downs?
Gaku was troubled, he would argue back by that claim but he knew it wouldn't do good to fight now, she is sick to the point where she could collapses.
Both were staring at eachother, Kurara looked scared, Gaku looked worried. He took a slow step foward, little by little he went to reach her hand. That's when Kurara striked his face, she was sick but not weak, it hurted Gaku like hell, he wanted to cry from that but he just ignored it, he hissed, his faces showing a pained expression. But it didn't stop him from grabbing gently her hand. Kurara looked right to Gakus face.
"Kurara... I- I'm sorry for not being a trusting person, I promise I won't do anything bad to you. Hurt me as much you want, I won't leave you to suffer alone!" Gaku said being genuine.
"Gaku... can I... really trust you." Kurara sounded serious.
"Yes"
"Will you... you won't betray me?" Kurara asked more serious.
"I won't!" Gaku said. Kurara grab by his shirt and tried to drag him toward her but it didn't because of how much energy she used.
"Promise" Kurara sounded worried.
"Promise" Gaku reassure.
"............alright...........I'll.........trust you." Kurara said as she lost all her strength. Gaku grabbed her before she could fell on the ground.
"Geez! *sniff* it hurts." Gaku shed a tear because of the punch.
Gaku carried Kurara to the bed, removed her long shoes, and placed the blanket on her.
"Mmmmm, wait can I?" Gaku took out everything he gathered. A large pumpkin, some vegetables, a can of beans.
"I could make a soup, I don't think it could be good with this incredients. I guess I could try." Gaku went and started to cook the stuff he gathered. He watered the incredients, cut then and added it to the bowl and used the lighter to warm the soup. Few minutes passed and it was done.
"Better try it" Gaku took a sip.
"Not bad, it could work." He took a plate and poured the soup on the plate and went to Kurara.
"Hey, I made soup, i can't guarantee is good." Gaku took a spoon and waited for Kurara to face him.
".........." Kurara was blushing, she just opened her mouth waiting for Gaku to feed her. Gaku was a little flustered, he feed her the soup.
"... thanks" Kurara said still blushing. Gaku smiled by the fact that Kurara appreciated what he did.
"Alright, looks like is time to sleep." Gaku placed a cabinet on the door, so no one could enter. He took a chair, placed near the bed and seated down.
"We should be safe for now, we need to rest, *yamn* I'll sleep here, so don't worry you can trust me." Gaku was tired.
"Alright... goodnight." Kurara said.
"Goodnight" Gaku said.
Both were nervous, they were sleeping in the same room with eachother. As they tried to ignore it and fall into a slumber, Gaku had a big painful day for his broken leg.
It was in the middle of the night, Gaku woke up and was trying to check his leg. It was still broken, he could manage to let it recover but is still broken. He really need to sleep in a bed to make sure it recovers.
After that he went back to the chair and fell asleep.
It was the next day, Gaku woke up and noticed he was grabbing something.
"Oh" Gaku was blushing, he was grabbing Kuraras tiny hands. They were so soft and warm. Looks like she slept good. He carefully removed his hand from hers and went outside and gather his clothes.
"This is going to be embarrassing." Gaku changed his clothes and wore his usual clothes.
"Better bring her clothes." Gaku gathered her clothes, he tried to not act up from her underwear. And went inside and placed her clothes on the table.
"*yamn* Gaku?" Kurara woke up.
"Morning Kurara! Get changed, we need to look for a way back to the academy. I'll wait outside." Gaku said as he left. He waited for Kurara outside. A few minutes passed, Kurara got out with her mask on.
"You perverted waste! At least you didn't touched me." Kurara insulted.
"Come on Kurara! You gotta stop that." Gaku complained.
"..........." Kurara looked at Gaku and looked away. "Let me help you, you got a broken leg." Kurara offered to help.
"Thank you" Gaku thanked. Kurara carried Gaku by the shoulder.
Both got out of the cave, it was morning, Gaku and Kurara looked for a way to get over the logs, Kurara took Gaku for a ride with her class weapon. They got over the blocked road and they encountered some of the members of the last defense academy.
"Kurara! Gaku!" Moko shouted.
"Thank goodness you guys are okay!" Nozomi shouted with tears.
"*sniff* Nozomi." Kurara went and cried going for a hug.
"Mr. Maruko, you didn't do anything to Kurara?" Ima questioned.
"You creepy salmon" Kako commented.
"Oh come on! I am suffering here! I need help." Gaku said annoyed wiggling his broken leg.
"Fine, Kako get his shoulder, I'll take the other." Ima said.
"Right" Kako said.
"Gaku! I'm glad you okay!" Moko said feeling relieved.
"Thanks, lets head back." Gaku said feeling relieved as well.
After what happened, Gaku decided to go back to his room, he took a shower, brush his teeth and then went to Yugamu to check on his leg.
"Looks like it broke, it will take time to recover, but we don't have the time for this. So" Yugamu took out a knife.
"NOOOOOOO!!!" Gaku screamed, he was gonna get killed. But Yugamu started to laugh.
"That face was cute, your leg will be fine, I just need to do my magic, with that just rest for a few days and it will be fine." Yugamu explained.
Gaku left shaking, he was just scared for almost getting killed. He decided to go back to his room to end the day.
Meanwhile with Kurara at the gym, she was training with the second last academy girls but she was lost in her thoughts.
"(Gaku carried me like a princess? he took care of me? He didn't touch me, and... I holded his hand while I was asleep.)" Kurara thoughts were distracting her.
"Kurara, are you sure nothing happened?" Moko asked worried.
"GAH! No nothing happened between me and that pest!" Kurara shouted flustered.
"Lady Kurara, you spoke in a weird way, are you sure you are okay?" Kyoshika questioned.
"Mmmmm" Kurara was quiet. Nozomi approached to her and touched her shoulder.
"Kurara, is there something you would like to share? We would like to hear it." Nozomi gently asked.
"... Can we take a break." Kurara asked. The four girls went to the cafeteria to drink while they talk.
"So, what happened during the storm yesterday?" Nozomi questioned.
"Before that, did that Takumi did something to you!" Kurara interrogated.
"No! No, he was a huge help, he protected me during the storm, we helped eachother and gone back to the academy, we got worried for you two, but it was nightime, so we couldn't look for you." Nozomi explained
"Well, when we seperated from you and that red headed freak, I went to the other side with Gaku, but Gaku ended up getting hit by a log and fell to the caved area."
"So that's how Gakus leg broke." Moko said.
"That's how that idiot and I got seperated, for me, I tried to take cover but I fell to the ground and passed out, then I woke up feeling sick that I forgot to wear my mask, that's how Gaku found me inside the building."
"So, he noticed the mask and found you, talk about lucky." Kyoshika commented.
"Gaku offered to help, but... I didn't wanted it. I was scared to trust him, even if he didn't had any intention to take advantage of me, I still didn't trusted him."
"Kurara" Nozomi said worried and petting Kuraras back.
"I'm okay, he carried me to the house he found, gave a change of clothes, got out of the house and waited for me to change. After changing he told to rest, since I was sick but I was on my guard so I didn't wanted his help. I was so scared that he was gonna take the chance and betray me I punched his face too."
Kurara was looking down, she then look up and smiled. "he really meant it, that he wanted to help, even after I punched him, he treated me gently. After that I just lost all my strength. He took me to the bed, made some soup, and then we slept. I noticed that Gaku was hurt, that made me realized that I could trust him. He could had wanted to take my bed but he decided to take the chair."
"It warmed my heart... and then next thing I knew..." Kurara was getting hesitated to speak.
"And then what?" Moko asked.
"What" Kyoshika asked.
"I... grabbed... his hand." Kurara was covering her eye holes, blushing making her mask red, she never felt so flustered ever.
"Huh?! Lady Kurara! That's indecent!!" Kyoshika shouted blushing.
"Oh my god! You grabbed his hand! That's so cute!!!" Moko shouted excited.
"Oh! Kurara!?" Nozomi was blushing hearing this.
"Grrrr, AAAAAH!!! I'll kill him! Not just that, I'll cut of the hand I took and burn it!!!" Kurara screamed flustered in rage.
Nozomi looked at Kurara, she finally gave her trust to Gaku. "Kurara, does that mean that you trust in him?" Nozomi asked.
"NO!!! HOW CAN I TRUST IN THAT FREAK HOBO!!!" Kurara shouted flustered wrapping her whole body to hide from everyone.
"Have you thanked him?" Moko asked.
"Of course not! Why would I!!!" Kurara said blushing.
"Huh!? You going to give him yourself!?" Kyoshika questioned flustered.
"NOOOO!!! YOU HORNY SWORD JERKER!!!" Kurara insulted.
You have to show you appreciated what he did, Gaku will still think you hate him." Nozomi suggested.
Kurara was quiet thinking, that's when she took off and ran out of the Cafeteria.
"Huh?" Nozomi was confused.
"Follow her!" Moko shouted.
"Lady Kurara, you are still pure! Don't throw it away!" Kyoshika said panicking.
Gaku was in his room in bed.
"This sucks!" Gaku was bored.
*ding dong*
"Huh? Who is it?" Gaku went and opened the door. He was met by a sudden pull and then his lips were pressed with something soft. He didn't process what was happening, he was enjoying the passionated sensation on his lips, he kissed back to whoever was kissing him.
He then was released and was pushed inside his room that's when he noticed who was his kisser.
"Kurara!?" Gaku was bashfully embarrassed. He didn't believed that Kurara kissed him. Kurara face was visible to him, she was shocked, blushing and was breathing heavily. As some as she snapped out of it she closed his door hard.
"WHY DID I DO THAT!!!" Kurara screamed both flustered and confused, what she did? Was that what she wanted to do? Or she didn't thought about it.
"Kurara!?" Nozomi was blushing from what she saw.
"You so bold!" Kyoshika said flustered.
"Kyaaaaa! What was that, Kurara! That kiss was intense!!!" Moko was super excited.
"AAAAAAAAAH! I'LL KILL HIM! I'LL MAKE HIM FORGET!!!" Kurara screamed out of control.
"Nozomi, what's happening here?" Takumi asked confused.
"Long story" Nozomi just said that.
Gaku could hear the chaos outside, but he ignored it because he was amazed by how he loved the kiss he shared with Kurara.
