Chapter Text

Today was just like any other. Tommy slept in til about noon before having a quick lunch and going for a short walk. After that, he went straight to work. He never really wanted to work at Tesco, but he was 16 and living alone. He needed somewhere to work so he could pay for his small flat. Even though it was the same as always, something felt off.  Almost like he was being watched.

He brushed it off as he fixed up the crisps isle. Some lads had came in and tossed them at eachother. It genuinely made no sense to him. Maybe because he hadn't been at school much before dropping out and running away or possibly these lads were just off their heads. He gave a sigh.

God, he was tired. He hadn't been able to sleep. British heatwaves were never fun and those Americans had the fucking nerve to make fun of them? British homes didn't have bloody fans in the ceiling and ACs! Americans pissed Tommy off so bad. There should be a county where there are no Americans allowed. That would be his dream.

He checked his watch quickly. Brilliant. His shift was over. He was quick to escape that hell. Grabbing his bag, he left the store and began walking to his flat. Thankfully his flat wasn't too far so this wierd feeling wouldn't be on his mind that much. He had his earplugs in only one ear so he could hear the noise around him.

The walk home was always relaxing. It gave him some time to think after thr busiest of days. It allowed him to calm down before crashing onto his bed the moment he stepped in the door, forgetting dinner yet again. He had eaten on his shift it was fine. As expected, as soon as he got home, he made his way to his bed with a groan as he flopped onto the unmade mess.

He was never one for tidying. There was other things to do. He curled up amongst his pillows and blankets and fell asleep suprsiengly quickly. It was a change to his recent restless nights but a very welcomed one at that.

----------------------------------

Waking up, everything felt a bit too bright. The bed he was on felt smaller than usual and less full. As his eyes adjusted to the room, he came to the realisation that he was in fact, not in his room. Where even was he? The building was pretty geometric with sharp edges that were definitely unfit for a baby. All the furniture was sleek and futuristic. Who's modern house had he managed to wake up in?

Tommy did the thing that seemed most appropriate in this situation and began to scream loudly. He pushed himself off this bed and stumbled as he got to his feet. He hated to admit it but those kidnappers sure did help him get a pretty brilliant sleep, no complaints there. That bed was way better than any Tom has slept on before. He could only imagine that's what a cloud felt like.

There were two other beds in the room he was in but of them seemed more lived in than his white, hotel like bed. One had a lot of purple and black around it framed with one of those children's princess canopies. That section of the room seemed almost royal. Not to mention how long that bloody bed was. How tall was the person who sleeps there? Tommy's eyes wandered over to the green bed near it. Was that a bee plushie? There were multiple. That side seemed a bit messier. It was way less royal though.

Even with the personalised aspects of the room, it looked too futuristic. It was so weird how the screen or art piece on the wall opposite the odd door seemed to be moving. The stars were so real it almost felt like he was in space.

Tommy was brought out of his thoughts as he heard footsteps approaching. The sound of feet on the metal floor was an odd one. He instinctively stepped back and held up his hands in defence, as if that could do anything. He wasn't great at combat but the other person didn't need to know that. Clearly, someone had finally decided to check out his screaming.

The door to the room opened like something out of Star Trek before this creature walked it. This had to be the thing that slept in that long bed. Their skin was half black and half white. On the white side, their eye was fully green while on the black side their eye was red. Freckles that were purple were most prominent on their cheeks and pointy ears. Their hair was like a fucking tiktok eboy or something like that with the colours matching their skin. Their fingers were long and they seemed to be wearing nails or something as they were sharp.

When Tommy realised that it was in fact not a person in a costume, he let out yet another guttural scream. This seemed to startle the creature as they put their hands up in the hair and stepped back. The thing seemed to shut its eyes and look away. There was a voice down the hall.

"Ranboo! Is everything alright?" A voice called out. Certainly a teen, maybe similar to Tommy's age. A much smaller creature followed behind. Was that.. was that a person half a goat? They had legs covered in fur and shaped like some sort of animal with hooves at the bottom. They had ears and horns too amongst their mop of brown hair. This thing seemed to have some sort of scar on them.

"Yeah- Uh, the humans awake.. the thing just screamed as soon as I walked in!" The taller creature  who Tommy heard the goat call Ranboo responded, looking back at Tommy.

"Of course I'm bloody screaming! Look at yourself!" Tommy yelled back, still a little wary of the whole situation. He didn't care that he sounded rude. These lads were proper odd looking.

The two creatures gave a knowing glance around eachother before the shorter one mumbled. "Fine.. I'll go get Phil. Try calm him down a little, Ran." The half goat than made its way to wherever that Phil person was. The other lanky creature that was left just put their hands up in surrender and backed away slightly.

There were a few moments of awkward silence between Tommy and this Ranboo lad.  The taller seemed awkward and almost a little frightened of Tommy. The blonde kept his guard up at all times, ready to pitifully fight the creature if needed.

After a few minutes, a taller man came over followed by the half goat from earlier. This man had choppy, medium length blonde hair and a sharp face with piercing blue eyes in the middle. He had feathers around the edge of his face, the same dark colour of his large wings. He was pretty intimidating. A gentle smile was the complete opposite of what Tommy thought the man would do.

"Heya, mate. Why don't you come with me?"
