Chapter Text
Harry worries about his kids.
And he can't be sure that getting Dexter the truck was a good idea. He'd passed his test first time and saved up half of the money for it and Harry had promised to pay the rest so he did but he's not sure he should have. Because all Dexter seems to want to do, when he's not hunting, is take Debra out for drives. Not the girls at school, not his friends, just his little sister.
They've always been close. Harry has lost count of the times he's found Debra asleep in Dexter's room. They don't seem to have any boundaries. They walk into each other's rooms without knocking. They get dressed in front of each other and they say the most out of hand, inappropriate things to each other without flinching. It's weird and unhealthy and Harry wants to put a stop to it but he doesn't think either of his kids would listen. Dexter might be a monster but he's not that type of monster, surely not. God he hopes not. And Debra is a smart girl. She knows what is right and what is wrong. That's why they're keeping her in the dark about Dexter’s ‘problem’. If he did anything to her, she'd tell Harry. Right? If she thought Dexter might hurt her? If Dexter did hurt her? She'd speak up. Surely. He has to think that she would.
But still, Harry worries.
