Work Text:
You go to the bathroom stall, sitting on the floor with your head in your knees. Remembering the sparkly glass from the second floor, you take it from your pocket and poke it against your fingertips. “Sharp” You think to yourself while rolling up your sleeve to press it to your wrist and slice. You only wanted to make one cut, but the feeling that it gave you felt so good.
You felt so free from your worry of what would happen. Stars. Your family is going to hate you, but if they do you can just loop back! Looping recovers wounds, you will still feel it anyway!
The blood rolls down your forearm, staining a bit of your glove. “They will be too busy with focusing on defeating the king” you reassure yourself. You slip the glass back into your pocket, and then head out of the bathroom. Don’t forget to smile. You head to the room with the shrine of the Change god, while praying, you wish for rest.
Teleporting to the main room of the third floor, you get the keynife ready to slice through the door. Isabeau grabs your wrist. You flinched and he quickly lets go of your wrist and looks down, thinking. “Uh, may me and Siffrin talk alone?” Isabeau asks the rest of your family. Your heart sinks. “Make it quick, okay? We got a king to defeat” Odile says. Isabeau nods and takes you to the room with the mirror in it and rolls up your sleeve.
You back away from him and avoid any contact with him. You try to pull your sleeve back down, but he won’t let you. Anxious thoughts flood your mind. “Siffrin, when did you do this? Your clothes are stained too. How did you do this or have time to even do this?” Isabeau asks, you tense up and he looks at you, like recalling a memory. “Was it the glass from the room on the second floor? Did you do this while in the bathroom? I realised you took very long” He asks gently, you tense up again and without meeting his eyes, you nod.
“Let’s head back,” he says, rolling up your sleeve. You see the others “About time” Odile says, impatiently. Isabeau looks at your wrist and Odile lifts her eyebrows and rolls up your sleeve to bandages it. Everyone looks at you worried and sad. They hate you, they will never be the same to you, you— you slice the door.
