Clara stood listening to him talk about the planet but that didn’t seem to be happening anytime soon. “Come on, we wouldn’t be able to land on it because of its heat but we could park the Tardis far enough away to be safe and watch, its egg shaped, how often do you get to see an egg shaped planet, it appears black because it doesn’t reflect much light and the process it’s in is called a death spiral, now that sounds cool right?” He looks like a kid on a sugar rush and she sighs. “It’s temperature is 4,700°F and its year las-.” She kisses him before backing off. He opens his mouth and closes it, not managing to say anything.
It’s half an hour later and Clara looks over at him. “So, have you get any words now?” He nods. “Why’d you kiss me?” She smiles. “I needed you to shut up, it seemed to work.” He sits for a few seconds and she hears him murmuring under his breath. “Clara Clara Clara Clara Cla-.” She smiles. “What are you doing?” He looks down. “It just feels nice to say.” She looks at him with a soft gaze and he looks like over them, they are beautiful and then Clara speaks. “Do you do that often?” He nods and feels strangely happy at the smile she gives him. “So can I talk about the planet now? She nods and he lists more and more facts until she agrees.
As they sit and look she leans against him. “So, my choice next Wednesday, right Doctor?” He nods and she smiles, leaning against him. When they leave she waits for him to drop her back off at the school and when she is dropped off she sees his smile before he can hide it, she smiles back at him.
