Vlog - Tastings from Silver Sol’s Vineyards - Featuring Sky High, Barnaby, Wild Tiger, Rock Bison

Fire Emblem: Hello my lovelies! Today I’ll be doing a wine tasting courtesy of my new sponsor Silver Sol Vineyards, a cute little place in the Silver Stage. They’ve sent me three brand new wine flavors to try but where’s the fun in drinking alone? Please welcome today’s guests Barnaby, Wild Tiger, Sky High, and Rock Bison.
Wild Tiger: Yo.
Sky High: Hello, and hello again!
Rock Bison: Glad to be here.
Barnaby: Thank you for having us today.
Fire Emblem: Of course, Handsome. Besides, a little birdie told me you like your wine, no?
Barnaby: [chuckles] I’ve been known to partake in a rosé from time to time.
Wild Tiger: Who would have thought our fancy little Bunny would have such boring taste in wine? It’s good and all but I like that wine we had back at the welcome party Agnes had for us. What was it again?
Barnaby: Champagne, and it’s actually a sparkling wine.
Fire Emblem: Ohhh, Handsome, you’re always so cute when you get all huffy. Goodness, I wonder how you’ll look after a few glasses? [chuckles] So we have a rosé and champagne lover. How about you, Sky High? Rock Bison?
Rock Bison: I’d rather have a beer…but anything with a strong, bitter taste is fine too, I guess.
Sky High: I don’t drink wine often so I’m excited to try something new!
Fire Emblem: Wonderful! We have some very different pallets here so this will be interesting. Before we get started, why don’t we go over some wine etiquette? Let's start with how to hold a wine glass. Handsome, would you demonstrate?
Barnaby: Of course. Be sure to hold the glass by the stem. This will keep your hand from warming the wine.
Fire Emblem: Once you have your glass in hand, you’ll want to swirl the wine just like Handsome is doing. This will release the wine’s unique aroma. Take sips so that your pallet can fully savor the wine. Most wine connoisseurs spit out their wine because it allows them to keep sober and better assess the wine they’re tasting though I prefer to swallow. We won’t be wasting any good booze here, honey.
Rock Bison: Here, here!
Fire Emblem: [claps] Now, the first wine we’ll be drinking today is A Touch of Sol, a rosé. The labeling has a lovely— Tiger, what are you doing?
Wild Tiger: [gulps] Uhhh tasting?
Barnaby: You call that tasting? Were you listening to a word Fire Emblem said about taking sips ?
Rock Bison: [glass clinking on metal] Dang mask jammed again…hold on. Maybe if I…
Sky High: Oh, Bison, just turn around like I’m doing. This mask of mine is good for saving the day, but it seems not for wine tastings!
Wild Tiger: Eh, you guys aren’t missing much.
Barnaby: Old man, must I remind you this is for Fire Emblem’s sponsor? Try to be at least a little professional. Also, did you even taste it guzzling like that?
Sky High: Hmm…it’s interesting. It doesn’t taste as sweet as I thought it would.
Wild Tiger: What, you wanted it to taste like juice?
Fire Emblem: Mmm…it is sweet but not overpoweringly so, as I’ve found with some rosé. It’s actually quite lovely. Refreshing.
Barnaby: Agreed. It’s light and has a beautiful pink pearl color. I might have to take this one home with me, Fire.
Fire Emblem: Oh, be my guest, Handsome, and that’s not the only thing you can take home but first, we have two more wines. Our next one is Red Chariot, a red wine. The labeling, as you can see, continues the theme from the last bottle with a strong figure as the centerpiece. Unlike the last bottle, the figure is now depicted riding a chariot. Gorgeous, isn’t it?
Sky High: It is. I’m looking forward to seeing how the next bottle follows the theme.
Fire Emblem: Oh, you’ll love it. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Cheers!
Barnaby: Don’t chug it this time.
Rock Bison [glass snapping] Oops. Uh…can I get a new glass?
Fire Emblem: Oh, that poor stem. Here, Bison, take mine. I’ll get a new one.
Rock Bison: Sorry. It’s so delicate. [glass snapping] Oh for…
Wild Tiger: For someone who can handle things as delicate as sewing needles, these glasses sure are giving you a run for your money.
Rock Bison: I’m a little nervous, okay?
Wild Tiger: About what?
Barnaby: Umm…let’s keep things going and give our thoughts on the wine while they get new glasses, yes?
Sky High: Hmm…oh. No, this still isn’t the wine for me. Sorry, and sorry again!
Wild Tiger: Ah, it’s bitter and dry, but if that’s your thing, it’s pretty good. Bison, this would be a good one for you.
Barnaby: Yes, it’s very high in tannins. I’d say it would pair well with roasted lamb or baked aubergine. You might enjoy it better, Sky High, in that sort of context.
Sky High: I’ll have to give it a try!
Fire Emblem: Sorry for the hold-up. Bison, here’s a new glass. Now, let’s have a taste, shall we? Oh, now this is a passionate one. I see me, this bottle, and a nice bubble bath in the future.
Rock Bison: [glass snapping] Ugh…at least I got a sip this time.
Fire Emblem: Oh dear.
Sky High: I’ll grab a towel.
Barnaby: Umm…so what are your thoughts, Bison?
Rock Bison: I’d say it’s pretty good. Like I said earlier, I’m more of a beer guy, but I’d order this during a date or something.
Wild Tiger: A date with Anges?
Rock Bison: [whispering] Do you think she’d like it?
Wild Tiger: So that’s why you’re nervous.
Fire Emblem: Aaand I’m back! Here’s a new glass, Bison, and I see Sky High found you a towel. Good. We saved the best for last, so shall we? This next wine is Sparkling Fire, named after yours truly. It’s a sparkling dessert wine and— look at that! I’m on the bottle! Isn’t it the cutest?
Wild Tiger: Not as cute as Rock Bison’s sippy cup.
Rock Bison: It’s not a— it’s a mug .
Sky High: It is kind of cute though.
Rock Bison: Ugh let’s just drink, alright?
Barnaby: Cheers.
Sky High: Oh! This one is sweet and bubbly.
Wild Tiger: Bunny, you’ll like this one.
Barnaby: This is really nice. The bubbles are lighter than most champagne I’ve had and feel pleasant on the tongue.
Rock Bison: Too sweet for me, but it has a good flavor. I’m not sure what I’d compare it to…
Fire Emblem: Hmm…I see what you mean, Bison. I’m getting a hint of floral.
Barnaby: Rose petals, maybe?
Sky High: The fragrance is similar to roses but…I don’t think that’s sweet enough.
Wild Tiger: Whatever it is, it gets five stars from me. It fits you perfectly, Fire.
Fire Emblem: Aww, Tiger, how sweet of you. I would say this entire set gets five stars. Each flavor is so unique and I can tell from the flavors to the little details of the labeling how much care Silver Sol Vineyards puts into each bottle.
