Somewhere on the highway in the city of Elmore, a passenger bus was driving. In addition to the regular residents, there were also newcomers, who were traveling there for the first time. In the very back row, from left to right, there was a white cat named Nick, who was wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans, a white cat named Nikki, who was wearing a pink T-shirt and a blue skirt, and a gray cat named Nathan, who was wearing a green T-shirt and brown shorts. He was asleep, as he had been waiting for a long time to arrive. Meanwhile, Nikki was eagerly waiting to arrive to their uncle, who was living in Elmore. They go there for the whole summer holidays.
-Have we arrived yet? - Nikki asked.
-Listen Nikki, are you going to say that every five minutes? - said Nick. -We are not arrived yet.
-I'm sorry, I just really want to see our uncle.
-Listen, just be patient okay?
-Okay.
Nikki calmed down, but decided to make fun of the sleeping Nathan. She took out a black felt-tip pen and drew a monocle and a mustache on her left eye. She giggled.
-Oh, Nikki... you never change... -Nick said with a smile.
-Yep. Even though I'm 12, I'm still a cheerful seven-year-old inside, hee-hee.
After some time, they reached the bus stop. Nick, Nikki, and a sleeping Nathan got off the bus.
-Wha... we are arrived? -Nathan asked, barely sleeping, and Nikki giggled.
-Yeah, we have already arrived. -Nick said.
Then the gray cat noticed that the white female cat was giggling.
-What's funny?
-Nothing... -Nikki said, with smile on her face.
-Okay... Our uncle should be somewhere a few blocks away... -Nick said, and suddenly a maroon car pulled up next to them, with their uncle named Joseph. He was a gray cat, dressed in overalls.
-Hello children! Joseph said happily, then he looked at Nathan. -Hey, Nathan, what happened to your face?
-Huh? - the gray cat looked at the car mirror and saw his painted face. -What the?! -the gray cat was indignant when he saw his face, and Nikki started laughing. - Nikki! Are you at it again?
-Sorry, I couldn't resist, hee-hee, -Nikki giggled and Nathan sighed.
-Uncle Joseph, do you have any wet wipes?
-Yes, take it. Joseph handed Nathan wet wipes, and Nathan wiped the scribbles from his face. Then he turned to Nikki, -Don't do that again, okay?
-Okay, I'll try. - said the white cat.
-Okay, kids, get in the car. - Joseph said, and everyone got into the car.
On the way to uncle's home, Nick decided to ask him a question.
-Uncle Joseph, why did you decide to move to Elmore?
-Well, I just got tired of living in Santa Cruz, and I accidentally came across a house in Elmore when I was looking for a new house. I originally wanted to fly to New York, Michigan, or Hawaii altogether, but I didn't have much money.
-I see
Joseph looked at his nephews through the mirror.
-How have you grown up, my children... Three years ago, you were all 9 years old... And now you're all 12.
-Indeed. -Nathan said.
And so they reached their uncle's house. It was two-storied, white in color with a burgundy roof.
-Here we are. - Joseph said, and everyone got out of the car and went inside the house. Inside, there was a dark blue sofa, a small table, and a brand-new smart TV.
-It's cozy here. -Nikki said.
-So uh... Where are our rooms? -Nathan asked.
-They're upstairs. Come with me. -Joseph said and led the children to the second floor. -I didn't know what to do with these rooms, so I made them into your rooms. There's Nikki and Nathan's room on the left, and Nick's room and bathroom on the right. -he said, pointing his finger at the rooms. -Go and make yourself comfortable.
-Ok thanks. -Nick said, and the children enter to their rooms.
Nikki's room had a white bed, a white wardrobe, and a table with a mirror. The walls were pink,
matching Nikki's sweatshirt.
Nathan's room had beige walls, a dark brown bed, and a dark brown closet
Nick's room had orange wallpaper, a table, and a bunk bed. Nick was surprised, because he was the only one in the room. -Why do I have a bunk bed?
Then, Joseph came into his room. -Well... originally I wanted it to be a room for Nathan as well, but I changed the plans a little bit, so somehow that's it.
-Ok then. -Nick sat down on the bed, took off his backpack, and began taking out his things: his sketchbook, pencils, his comics, and his laptop.
-Children! Go eat! I've cooked something for you. -their uncle shouted from the first floor.
-Cool! -Nikki shouted. Everyone ran downstairs to the kitchen and sat down at the table. -What we got for dinner?
- Delicious omelet! -Joseph said and gave everyone an omelet, but it was all burnt. Everyone at the table was confused.
-Uhm... Is this an omelet? -Nick asked.
Well... yes... Joseph said. -It's slightly burned, it's okay. Things happen.
-Slightly? -Nathan asked. -It looks like it's completely burned.
-Well... Yes, you're right. I just don't know how to cook. Then let's order a pizza?
-Of course! -said Nikki
-Yeah! -said Nick
- I don't mind either. -Nathan said.
-Ok, I'm ordering now 1In the meantime, you can watch TV. -Joseph said.
All the children sat down on the sofa and took the remote.
-Uncle Joseph, do you have a subscription to Ulull? -Nikki asked.
-I don't have it, sorry. I prefer simple DVDs and VHS. -Joseph said.
-Oh.
-DVDs and cassettes are on the shelf next to the TV!
-Okay. -Nick said, and he began to inspect the shelf. -So, which movie should I choose? He looked at the names of the films with his eyes. -The Screamening 2, Flames of Fury, Game to the Death, The Power, Frankenstein the fox and the wolf, The Monstrosity, The Consequences , RoboKiller 2: Judgment Day, Elmore Chainsaw Massacre-
-Let's watch RoboKiller 2. -Nathan said.
-Ok. -Nikki said
Nick took the DVD with this movie and inserted it into the DVD Player. And then he decided to go explore the city.
-Hey, where are you going? Nikki asked.
-Just for a walk. See what kind of city it is. -said the white cat.
-Aren't you going to watch the movie? Nathan said.
-Nah, I want to go for a walk.
-What about the pizza?
-Yeah, I know, don't eat without me, okay?
-No, we'll eat it, hehe. -Nikki said in a sly voice. -Actually we don't eat it without you, don't worry.
-Ok. - Nick said and left the house. He went to explore the city and see what was going on in this city.
