Work Text:

Peter was exhausted after being at school for hours and having clubs. He finally made it back to the Avengers Tower and was in the elevator. "Friday, please take me to the lounge." He asked.

"Of course, Peter" Friday responded quietly, clearly not wanting to disturb him. After a few minutes, he arrived on the floor. He pushed on the door to the lounge and walked inside.

All of the Avengers were sitting on the couches. They all turned around as Peter entered and gave him a look that Peter couldn't understand. He just went and sat next to Tony. He then proceeded to rest his head on Tony's shoulder.

"Hey kid, rough day?" Tony asked in a voice that sounded worried, but also a little... afraid? "Mhmm" Peter hummed back. "I can tell. You literally knocked the door off it's hinges coming in." Tony responded in a nervous chuckle.

Peter bolted up and looked behind him. He saw the door he pushed on the floor with the hinges torn off. He alternated his gaze from the door to Tony. "I... didn't mean to do that. I forgot to..." Peter trailed off.

"Forgot to what?" Tony asked. "Hold back," Peter said timidly. Tony looked shocked, like the other Avengers. "What do you mean 'hold back'?" he questioned.

"Hold back my strength. I always have to hold back or I'll crush everything." Peter said while trying to disappear into Tony's side. "What's the heaviest thing you ever lifted?" Tony asked.

"A building?" Peter offered. He looked at Tony, then at the rest of the Avengers, then back at Tony. They all had a look of shock on their faces. Suddenly, everyone yelled "A WHAT?!"
