Work Text:

Eunho always apologizes first, whether the argument was big or small, and even when he’s not the one at fault.

But today, he wants Bamby to know how he feels when he gives him silent treatments.

His husband shouted at him, calling him ‘difficult’, then walked away. They didn’t even agree to anything, but the pink-haired just stomped away and locked himself inside their shared bedroom, leaving him outside.

“Fine, suit yourself!” he shouts back, ego activating. Whatever, just this once, he wants Bamby to be the first one to apologize. So he lets him be as he makes himself comfortable on the couch.

He just laid on his side, eyebrows creased as he scrolled through different apps that did little to distract him from thinking about Bamby.

Thunder rumbled, then rain came pouring suddenly. He didn’t have anything to use as a cover. No pillows, no anything, and he’s wearing his shorts and a white tank top.

Still, he didn’t get up to get one. He’s supposed to be mad at him right now and there’s no way he’ll go inside their room to get some pillows and a cover.

It’s alright, I can endure this. Just tonight. He whispers to himself as he closes his eyes in an attempt to sleep. But he can’t shrug off the cold that wraps around his whole body. It’s really cold.

And lonely.

He gave it a few more minutes. When indifference didn’t work anymore, he grunted and pushed himself up. His left arm feels sore because of his position and he’s close to shivering because of the cold.

He released a long sigh, then finally got up, stretching his arms. He looked at their closed bedroom door with a frown on his face, but he still walked towards it.

His steps stopped in front of the door with his fist frozen mid-air in an attempt to knock, but he contemplates. He sighed again and looked down, and there, he saw a gap on the doorway.

It wasn’t locked. His eyebrows raised in surprise, then, slowly, he pushes the door.

His husband was lying on his side, his back facing the entrance of the room. It was cold inside the room as well, but the blanket was unused, covering Eunho's side of the bed instead of Bamby.

Why would Bamby let himself get cold? He thought.

He couldn’t figure out if he was already asleep or not, so each step he took was calculated, light, quiet. Then he picked up the blanket and gently covered his husband’s sleeping frame.

To his surprise, the other moved his head and looked at him.

Bamby pouts, “what took you so long?” he mumbled softly.

Eunho was quite taken aback. Usually, it takes some time for Bamby’s mood to be okay again, but right now, he doesn’t look irritated nor sulky, not even a bit.

Eunho cleared his throat, “It’s cold, why aren’t you keeping yourself warm with your blanket?” he asked, avoiding his question. Right now, he’s the one sulking.

It was quiet for a few seconds, then he caught Bamby’s stare. He noticed that his eyes looked apologetic and soft.

“I don’t want to feel warm while you’re cold on the couch.” He softly said before looking down.

That made Eunho speechless. His eyes unconsciously softened as he watched his now shy husband fidget with his fingers.

“Really?” he asked, making the latter’s eyes look up at him. “Then why didn’t you just bring me a blanket outside?” he added.

Bamby bit his lip, “Well, that, I just thought that…you’d come here soon.” He confessed in a shy tone.

A smirk was fighting to show on Eunho’s lip, but he suppressed it. Times like these are rare, and he wants Bamby to feel how he feels most of the time.

“But I saw you shut the door on me earlier, how am I supposed to know that you’re gonna be waiting for me?” He pushes further, finding the shy and guilty Bamby really adorable.

“Um…” He paused, “I…don’t know how you do it,” He said.

“Do what?”

Bamby met his eyes, “Consoling?”

After a few heartbeats, Eunho couldn't help but chuckle softly. Then, he sat down on the bed beside Bamby. “You should still try. How will you know if you don’t?” He told him and took his hand, brushing it with his finger softly.

“You know me, I’m not as difficult as you are.” He smirked teasingly, but it turned into a soft smile.

“So don’t hold back, because sometimes I want you to be the one to make the first move.”

His magenta eyes looked at him with intensity, then Bamby leaped at him, hugging him. Tight.

“I’m sorry, Eunho-ya. I’m really sorry for shouting and walking out like a bitch... I didn’t mean to hurt you.” He started to sob quietly. Eunho held him close, leaving kisses on top of his head. “Don’t be mad at me anymore, please. I’m sorry.”

Upon hearing that, Eunho leaned back a bit to look at the other, “Hyung, look at me.” he held the sides of his tear-stricken face and focused it on him. “Do I look ‘mad’ to you?”

Bamby studied his face, then shook his head.

“Right, I’m not. I can’t be mad at you for too long, actually.” He confessed with a chuckle, making his teary husband finally crack a smile.

“Thank you,” Bamby breathed out, “I love you. I think marrying you was really a huge jackpot, you know?”

Eunho raised a brow, “You think?”

Bamby chuckled and shook his head. “Let me correct that! I love you, and marrying you was really a huge jackpot, my love.” He said as he caressed Eunho’s cheek.

But Eunho wasn’t done yet, “Ah, so you just married me because I’m a huge jackpo-”

“Aigh, stop it!” Eunho laughs against Bamby’s palms that cover his mouth.

He gently detached Bamby's hand on his mouth, “Okay i’ll stop, I love you too.” He said and leaned in to kiss him, not waiting for a response.

Eunho smiled against his lips, while Bamby sighed in relief before kissing him back.

When they pulled away, he admired his husband’s face a little more.

“So we’re okay now, alright? Can we cuddle now?” He asked, and the other just nodded.

They both held the ends of their big blanket and covered themselves, because it was really cold.

But with his husband in his arms? Eunho couldn’t name anything else warmer than this.
