Work Text:

It wasn't the first time Kenny stayed overnight at the Marsh’s house. It was pretty common at this point.

It was a cold day in South park, well it was colder than usual, and the fact that it was past noon didn't make the weather any better, as Kenny’s broken down boots fell in the snow with every step of the way, until he reached the backyard, right in front of Stan's window.
Kenny felt cold, even if he was wearing a parka and the most expensive warm clothes he could afford. He took a deep breath and exhaled a few seconds later.

Kenny put a hand in his pocket and picked up a few rocks inside of it, holding them tightly in his palm before throwing them in the direction of the lit window, hitting the upper rail perfectly, it was a technique he mastered in moments like this. He smirked and counted to three until two big blue eyes looked from over the rail, checking to see who it was, before they lit up, as they noticed Kenny, the small glint in the other’s eyes made the blonde smile before yelling out, even if it was muffled by the big washed out fur of his parka:
“STANLEY!!” He tried to wave his hands over his head hoping it would catch Stan's attention before jumping over the porch and climbing up to reach Stan's window, not giving too much effort, which at times resulted in his death, but before he could slip from the iced ceiling of the porch, a hand reached out to grab him and pull him inside.

It was comforting, a familiar warmth that invaded Kenny in a whole, he smiled and took away his parka, looking at his boyfriend who was a few feet away from him, crossing their arms.
“Hello Stan.” He gave the black haired boy a big grin, showing off the fucked up teeth from years of living in poverty, Stan chuckled, “Hey dude.” Their voice had a small fond ton in it, same as the warm look in his eyes as he took the parka from Kenny's hands and placed it on a chair next to the desk in their room.
“You didn't text me that you'd come over tonight.” Stan raised an eyebrow. “Did something happen?” The question made the blonde shrug. “It was a last minute decision, Karen and Kevin were away and I didn't feel like being alone with my parents.” He didn't put much weight to his reply, and Stan was even more suspicious, but didn't question again.
There were a few minutes where the two boys stayed in silence, staring at each other, they didn't need to talk to understand how the other was feeling. Stan was the first one to break the small comfortable quiet moment. “I'll check the fridge if it has anything we can microwave for you.” He started walking to the door without letting Kenny deny the offer, knowing very well he would.
But Kenny didn't say anything, he simply started following Stan around the house and in the kitchen.

It didn't take too long to find something for Kenny, he could eat the table and still be grateful about it.
The black haired boy placed a cup of noodles from the last time Kenny was there (which to note, was two days ago) and turned to look at their boyfriend again.
Kenny looked like a dog, those big dogs that lit up as their owner called for them, which made Stan laugh at the comparison in his head.
“Ken?” He called out, and immediately Kenny looked up from his feet and scooted closer to Stan, looking over with a grin, “yeees?” He simply said before Stan held his arms out for a hug, and Kenny immediately reciprocated it by burying his face in Stan's shoulder.

He closed his eyes, taking deep relaxed breaths as they heard the food warm up.
The house was comfortable and warm, but Stan was way more comfortable and warm, he smiled as he leaned his chin on the latter's shoulder and gave him a small kiss on the cheek, making Stan chuckle. Stan was still not used to all the affection Kenny provided, not that he minded of course, but it was still weird to hold and kiss your ‘ex’ best friend in front of your super best friend and Cartman.
Kenny knew that, of course, at times he would find himself rush after Stan to the bathroom because his boyfriend needed to throw up after they kissed, but everything was so hilarious to him that he never minded, even if it meant holding the black haired boy’s hat outside a bathroom stall while hearing the other throw their guts out.
Kenny sighed in the hug, burying himself in Stan, he pulled his arms around Stan's neck, standing on his tip toes to reach Stan's eyesight.
Stan smiled and held Kenny's waist to keep him (and themselves) from falling backwards, he slowly leaned in, looking down at the boy's lips, he could feel the other boy’s breath but his face but—

The microwave beeped, the food was ready, Kenny immediately pulled away, red faced, and immediately waddled to the microwave and pulled the food out for himself. Stan stood still, fidgeting with his hands before Kenny placed the food down, staring at it, then looking over at Stan, then back at the food again. “Can I eat this before we kiss?” He bluntly asked, teasing the noirette, Stan crossed their arms, face flushed so much that Kenny couldn't see if he was about to rush to the bathroom or simply mad that the kiss was interrupted, but Stan nodded and sat next to Kenny, at the chairs in the kitchen.

Kenny was a quick eater, he could consume food in just a few minutes, it always made Stan feel surprised because opposite from his boyfriend, he took his sweet time eating. Dates always lasted longer than expected because Kenny ate everything in a solid 10 minutes, while Stan took at least triple the time, which resulted in the blond guy stealing a cold fry every so often.

Kenny ate the entire left over in just a few minutes, he drank some water and looked at Stan. “So where were we?” He immediately pounced on the latter, making both of them fall from their chairs laughing like two maniacs.
Kenny slowly leaned in and kissed Stan, now properly, and immediately got reciprocated.
His lips were soft, and warm, like his eyes, and like his hugs.

Maybe he lived in a cold town, but his heart warmed up just by staying with Stan.
