Angela Lopez is growing suspicious when random items are being send to her.
The first package Angela gets is through a delivery man. She's getting to work. Leaving the kids to the nanny. One last kiss to Jack and Emmy before going. She's on her way out of the house when she crosses path with the delivery man. One Amazon prime package. Not too big, not too small. She signs the delivery notes and leave the un-opened package in the entryway. She does not pay more attention to it. In all honesty, with her schedule, she resolutes to online shopping most of the times. And with the amount of orders she passed yesterday night, she even lost tracks of what she's supposed to get. Maybe it's that new band t-shirt she purchased or maybe this is the new Bluey sweater she ordered for Jack.
Her day was long, tiring and she comes back to her place exhausted. Wesley is not there yet. This is a rarety to beat him home. The kids are already asleep but she can't help but sneak into their room to stole a kiss. She longs those moments of peacefullness. Pure innocence plastered on the face of her kids. Protected from all the evil of the world.
She exits the room quietly and get back to her leaving room. The package received in the morning still resting on the dining table.
« Mrs Angela Lopez-Evers « . Weird. She never used her full name on those orders. Sure she uses her husband's credit card but the accounts are only on her maiden name.
She opened it and is stunned not to find her last purchases but instead one gift wrapped on the signature amazon wrapping paper. One card is attached to it ' to the delightful Angela'. No name attached. It must be coming from Wesley. Angela is blessed in that departement. Getting a dotting husband who often send some delightful gift for both of their pleasure. Last time it was a La perla negligee. She wonders what new items Wesley would have got her. She tores the wrapping paper. Excited to find out. And it's certainly not what she expected. Instead of a new lingerie set, she found out a low cut out red glittery dress and matching heels. Promising. Does he want to take her to a fancy dinner ? It's the rest that is a surprised. One sort of purple / silvery wig, some fairy wings red glasses and a magic wand. Does Wesley have some kink she's not aware of ?
The costume looks familiar but she can't put her finger on where she knows this is from.
Does Wesley expect her to wear it for next Halloween ? She already suggested they went as Jessie and James as the team rocket from Pokemon. Wesley would not try to change her mind right ? He wouldn't dare. She will talk to him about it as soon as he's home.
She doesn't have to wait that long. She's sipping her red Merlot wine glass when her husband is getting through the door.

«Yeah, Harper and I closed our case pretty quickly. Some low key gang member tried to rob his grandma while recording it and then posting it on his public clip-talk profil»
«Good for you. Why do I sense that you are plotting something?» Wesley takes a good look at his wife. He knows the tale. The look she's giving him.
« Plotting? Me? Never. But you left me wondering ...» Wondering...when she uses this word t-it's never good
« Wondering? «
«Do you have something to tell me about our costumes for Halloween? » The glares she's sending him could kill. She's also The Adelita with her eyes.
«Absolutely not. I know for a fact that you want to go as Jessie and James. And let's not forget Jack as Meowth and Emmy as arbok »
«Good boy. So tell me why you send me this atrocious costume. Do you have some kink of magic I'm not aware.» She shows him the whole outfit she received
« This is certainly not from me. And for your information, it's not some magic costume. Don't you recognise it ? It's from Shrek. One of the antogonist of the movie »
« Well if it's not from you then who is it from ? «
And that's a mistery to her. But Angela Lopez is a true detective and she'll soon discover the whole truth.
The second package is not really a package but more a patchwork of differents pictures across her desk and a little note. This is the day after she received her costume and she still has no clues of what this is about.
She first read the notes « Dear Angela, I'll soon reveal myself to you but to discover my identity, let's get ready for some mind games. Up to it ? Here is my first clue »
She takes a good look at all the pictures scratered across her desk. Trying to put them together. She takes the first one. One black man. She recognised him instantly. It's Will Smith in his Prince of Bel air area. She takes another one. It's a promo picture of the movie « Elf « . She loves that movie. Someone must know her very well. But she can't figure why the first two are reladed.
A look at the third picture, she knows him as well. It's Prince William. Maybe the clue is Prince ?
But it's not really related to elf. She takes a look at the last picture. One of her favorite tv show Will and Grace. She's a damn good detective but this one is the hell of a enigma.
She looks around the bullpen trying to figure out the cullprit of this mischief. This must be some kind of jokes coming from her coworkers. But no suspicious looking people in the area.
She's too tired for this now. She takes all the things and shoves it into the drawer of the desk. Figuring it she will solve it later in the day. For now she needs coffee.
She heads towards the breakroom and she finds there her two favorites loverbirds. Tim and Lucy. Sharing a bottle of water. She's thrilled for her best friend really. He and Lucy got back together a little bit less than a year ago and she had never seen him as happy as now. He's still the hard ass sergeant in work. But in his personnal life, he's a lovesick puppy for the love of his life Lucy. He deserves it, he's been there for her on some of the worse moments in her life and now he finally gets his happy ending. They are newly engaged and as for today they look even way more in love than before. Something must be in the air because Tim is looking at Lucy even more preciously and even more lovingly than the usual.
Just like Wesley is looking at her. Just like Wesley is looking at their kids.
She cannot wait for him to be a father. He's already a perfect godfather and she knows for a fact how he longs for it all. The family he always craved.

« Hello to you detective. What a beautiful day it is » Who is this man and what did he do to Tim Bradford.
« Did you knocked your head again ? What got you so cheerful this morning. Is it you Lucy ? Did you finally dress as Princess Leia for his little fantasy » Lucy who was sipping on her water was nearly choking and Tim was as red as a tomato
« You told her ? »
« Relax loverboy. We, girls, love to talk during girls nights and your girl here is very talktive when you give her tequila « And off she's gone. She loves creating chaos. But in a way it's true, she already heard way too much of her best friend's sex live to not taunt him. His girl is really a freak in the sheets. Angela must admit it Lucy could gave her a run for her money. But Angela still got some tricks up her sleeves. And if Wesley did not bought her a new Agent provocateur set. She'll get her herself and give him a little show.
She's back at the desk when Harper gets there. They quickly get to work having some reports to write.
A little before lunch break, some private delivery man is at her desk.
« I'm looking for Angela Lopez. Is that you » She looks at him. The guy is holding one wrapped package and looks very eager to get out of here.
« Yes »
« A special delivery for you. Sign here please. » She signs and he hands her the package.
A little note still attached to it
' Hello again La Adelita, here is our second clue '
She unwraps it carefully. Several items fall on her desk. First is a the whole collection of the 'You' netflix series on DVD. The second item is a bottle of perfume from Emporio Armani. Again with the title You. This clue is quite easy. Maybe the culprits behind all of this are getting lazy.
Harper is looking at her carefully.
« Everything alright ? »
« Don't worry. Just something I need to decipher on my own. Up for some tacos ? »
« You know me. I'm always up for some tacos »
« Let's roll them »
The next clue is waiting again on her desk when they get back from their lunch break.
Not even hidden. It's one huge plush toy of a bee. Nothing else. Just this huge thing awaiting for her. With once again a little note attached to it.
'We are almost done. Did you put it together yet or the title of the best detective in town must be passed to someone else'
Someone is really having it's fun with her. She spots Lt Grey not far from her. She waves him off
« You didn't see anything by any hasard » By the way of how is he looking everywhere but her. She knows, he did.
« Nothing detective. I think you'll have to keep digging ». For sure he knows. But he won't bulge. And as soon as he appeared, the man is gone.
She's still trying to put the clues together. But it makes no sense.
You. That she gathers.
Then Shrek costume
A bee
and some pictures relating to one thing she can't compose.
It makes no sense at all.
The last clue is brought to her by her two favorites sergeants. She should have know that these two would be messing with her and be involved in this little joke.
The two are standing in front of her. Lucy flanked on Tim's side. And Tim getting one last gift behind his back. He presents the little package to her and he starts to speak
« So Ange, what do you answer » She didn't even looked at him, she was too focused on opening the last cue. It's a little Pop Doll. But not any pop doll. It's the fairy godmother doll from Cinderella.
She looks at her best friend. A large smile on his face. But she's more focused on the hand her Bff got on Lucy's belly.
And now she gets it all.
