Chapter 1: The Unseen Bug

Chapter Text

Wyll looked down at his communicator, smile strained after the eventful day that had started with welcoming a new friend to the server and ended with him leaving his team. He hadn’t had time to talk to the dev team much about anything yet, and checked the groupchat they had to discuss problems with the code.

He had brushed it to the side at the time, but when looking at the chat, he remembered something from earlier in the day. Stormz had found the reason for certain items not stacking. Somehow, only being on the server for less than an hour, Stormz had found the reason for a glitch in the code no one else had been able to see or fix. None of the owners, none of the admins, no players could figure it out, but he had.

Wyll closed the admin + dev team group chat and opened his chat with Stormz, debated what to say, and then sent off a message.

Wyll: Hey bro, glad to have you on Bliss finally, but I have to ask how you figure out the stacking glitch? It's been driving us insane all week?

Quickly, his communicator pinged with a reply.

Stormz: bro Its just something I've seen before, yk I've messed with code and dev stuff before, cant have a server I'm on not be in pristine condition.

That answer was what he expected. He knew Stormz had a talent for messing with code and glitches, but him being able to see an issue so quickly? That NO ONE had been able to figure out for a week? Wyll knew there was more to his white-winged friend that made it, so he fixed the bug, but honestly? Wyll was just glad that the dev team could now fix it. If something about his friend was different, whatever it was seemed like only a benefit to them, so he decided not to think about it much deeper.
