Trial and Err- Kisses?

Summary:

The plan was to spend the day at the Art Festival. Simple, right?

What they didn’t plan on was the unexpected ride—a dramatic and comedic roller coaster of emotions.

Chapter Text

It’s Saturday, meaning the couple doesn’t have work today. Noah had initially planned to spend the rest of the day in his most precious bed. He loves his bed so much, not more than Yejun though, maybe after him .

So, he didn’t expect his husband to bug him this early and force him to get up.

“Han Noah, first of all, it’s already 12 in the afternoon. Also, don’t give me that look because we paid for tickets for this Art Festival. Get up now!” Yejun whines, sounding a bit frustrated because his husband pretends not to hear anything.

Noah groaned, “Ugh, why did you even buy those tickets anyway...” he mumbled with closed eyes and his back facing the other.

“You were the one who wanted the tickets. Don’t lie to me now.” Yejun reminded him, tone scolding. His hands are now crossed on his chest, but Noah still pretends to sleep—intentionally snoring loud that annoyed the other.

One, two, three seconds. The blonde yelped when the other’s arms suddenly lifted him up to carry him bridal style.

“Hey! Put me down! I don’t feel safe! I don’t feel safe! Somebody help!” He cried out, a bit dramatic, shaking his body and kicking his feet.

Yejun, who was struggling a bit with his weight, just sighed. “Acting doesn’t suit you. Now have mercy on me for I just want to take you to bath, your Majesty. You’re quite heavy.” He grunts as he finally takes a step towards the bathroom. Noah gave up, but the frown and pout on his face wasn’t erased.

“You’re so annoying, Jun-ah. You hate me, don’t you? You’re not letting me sleep.” He sniffled, facial expressions trying to show all kinds of sadness as he forced his husband to look at him by holding the sides of his face.

It doesn’t work on his husband anymore though. This is what they go through every week anyway.

“Aish, seriously. The tickets are expensive, Han Noah. Don’t forget that you kept bugging me about this for two days.” he scolds him with a scowl.

Eventually, the long-haired got tired and just accepted it. He removed all his clothes and was gently placed by the other on the bathtub filled with lukewarm water and lavender fragrant soap.

He gave his husband a look when he was about to exit the bathroom.

Yejun raised a brow, “What? Do I have to wash you up too-”

Noah scoffed, “No, go away. I can do this. I’m not a baby.”

Yejun gave him an amused look. “You sure about the last part?”

Noah ignored him, making mocking faces as he looked away. He heard one last chuckle before his husband left him alone.

After he washed up, still in his bathrobe, he arrived at the kitchen. The smell of eggs, bacon and fried rice lingered in the air, making his stomach growl.

“Ah, you’re done? Let’s eat now, your stomach’s already complaining.” Yejun said as he prepared everything on the table.

Noah joined him on the table, chin resting on his palm as he patiently waited for everything to be prepared. He didn’t have the chance to help since Yejun did everything already. Maybe he’ll just give him a kiss later.

When the blue-haired finally sat down, Noah thanked him with a smile.

“You’re in a good mood now?”

He glared at the laughing Yejun for teasing him. “Just eat your food, you old man.” He retorted.

They ate quietly, the romantic r & b music that Yejun’s playing on the speaker filling the kitchen. Noah saw how his husband kept on looking at his wristwatch every two minutes while eating, causing him to eat faster and almost choke on his food. The moment he did, Yejun literally jumped from his seat to help him.

“Goodness, Noah. Take it easy!”

The said person tried to catch his breath, “You kept on looking at your watch, that’s why!”

Yejun’s lips thinned into a line.

“Nam Yejun, it’s okay to be late sometimes, you know?”

The taller man sighed, “Okay, I’m sorry. Now eat slowly.”

Noah smirked, satisfied. He really took his time eating the rest of his meal while his husband patiently– patiently watched.

After the last bite, Noah groaned. “Agh, I’m so full~ let me rest for a bit, Jun-ah.” He said as he closed his eyes.

And of course, Yejun just nodded then later stood up, changed his clothes, brushed his teeth, and put his shoes on. After all of that, he expected that his husband had already started preparing as well.

When he went back to the kitchen, he paused.

Noah fell asleep on the table.

The taller man’s mouth went agape before he walked closer and stood beside him, arms crossed. He cleared his throat, yet the blonde didn’t budge. Noah really fell asleep in a position that’ll surely cause a stiff neck later. He shook his head while laughing to himself in disbelief. This man, really.

Quietly, he knelt down on one knee and then flicked the other’s forehead — startling the blonde.

“Aish! Shib-”

Yejun folded in half as he laughed maniacally, pointing a mocking finger at his husband who was a complete mess.

“Look at you, your face is all red!” He teases, causing the other to fume in anger (cutely).

Noah groaned and hid his face in his hands. “You’re so annoying!”

“And you’re acting like a sloth.”

Noah grunts before getting up, completely trying to ignore the mocking laugh that’s so loud he can hear it inside their bedroom.
