Work Text:
The morning routine. One makes the tea while the other runs the bath. They both settle in, long limbs entwined, gentle sighs, gentle smiles, as the first sips are taken. A hand runs along a calf, another over a knee, words left behind, unneeded in this moment of peaceful pleasure.
Soon enough there will be spaces for others - gentle conversations, urgent voices hailing them, laughter between them, in-jokes nobody else can piece together.
And then, after, a later routine, a removal of fabric, fingers trailing over skin, soft kisses in preparation for sleep.
The peace of them, alone together.
Perfect.
