Chapter Text
Casey’s pov
Saga, how much longer do we have to keep trying to hunt down this killer? We don't seem to be getting anywhere, and you know that I am not the best with nature. Casey, calm your balls down; we just started this mission, and you probably have not had your daily cup of coffee. I know there is a coffee shop near Bright Falls. Once we finish looking at this murder scene, we can move there, okay? Whatever you say, Anderson, I just want my own cup of coffee. My stupid ex-wife has been emailing me all week long. I do not think she understands the concept of divorce yet.
“They continue to explore around Cloudren Lake. There has been a history of murder scenes popping up around the lake for no good reason. Saga took on this mission to get a new grasp of life; being cooped up in New York made it much harder for her to understand different perspectives. As well as that, she also wanted to tease Casey, though Casey and Anderson are nearly the same age. The mental age difference is quite large. Casey, on the other hand, is more of the serious detective while cracking jokes here and there but struggles to understand social cues quite a bit, and Saga is the one doing the majority of the interviewing of the potential suspects. Together they often made a good cop/bad cop duo, but they both had mutual respect for each other and treated each other like sister and brother. Once the search around the lake has been cleared, they walk back up to the parking lot and enter the car to drive back up to Bright Falls.
In the car
So, Casey, are you sure you have not found any potential love interests since the divorce? You are quite good-looking and a detective after all; who wouldn't want to date you? Anderson, we just entered the car, and this is the first thing you bring up? Really. I just have not had the time to look for love, and honestly, I think I might be leaning towards men rather than women, not that I hated my ex-wife, but rather I felt unhappy, and I knew it was hurting her in a way. Saga’s eyes open wide as she hears those words exit Casey’s mouth. The last thing she ever expected Casey to be is gay. She gathered her thoughts together and continued to keep driving forward. Ahh, why did you not tell me you felt that way? You know I can always hook you up with some good-looking dudes, maybe my husband's friends, if you are interested? Just want you to be happy after all. Thanks, Anderson, but right now I prefer to be focused on our mission and you to drive us to Bright Falls safely. I don't have nine lives, you know? Okay, special agent Alex Casey, whatever you say.
They continue their drive and finally see the Bright Falls logo, “Greetings from Bright Falls! Home of Deerfest.” Saga parks the car near the OhDeer Diner; she read in an article that they are famous for their coffee, and knowing Casey, that would most likely cheer him up from being so grumpy from searching around the lake.
