Chapter Text

There were many unexpected things that would happen when it turned out that you were kidnapped fifty years ago by a god.

One was that, despite being a man,and so was your partner you two could end up having a kid. Which, by all standards, SHOULD have been the weirdest part of that particular day.

Of course, another other one was that every single god that humanity ever worshipped turned out to be real….

And that one of them hated every other of them, and humans, wanting to exterminate all of them as well as freeing his…friends?

Theo had no idea. He was just glad that everything was over. That Apollo was alive, because the beating he took by an angry spartan king had left internal injuries that did take a while to heal.

And that having a baby didn’t hurt as much as he’d expected. All things considered, he had an easy pregnancy. Birth…well, eh, that he would rather not discuss.

His baby was the most spoiled being in Olympus. After all she was the first goddess born in centuries to any of the twelve Olympians (he had no idea what those other children around there were, and frankly, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to ask)

Of course, she had gotten quite a lot of presents from her dad’s family.

Another thing that Theo had to get used too: he had in-laws now. Quite the amount, but according to Calliope (technically one of his sister-in-law, but he preferred not to think about it), the amount was bigger before the day he found out the truth.

There was, Zeus, his father-in-law. There was Aphrodite, his aunt-in-law. There were Ares, Hermes and Hephaestus, three of his brothers-in-law. They were four before, with one of them being Heracles, a name he knew quite well. And there was uh, Adamas? His uncle in-law, a god he didn’t know existed…(Clio kindly explained to him that Adamas had his name erased after trying to rebel against Olympus, and his weird armor was because Poseidon nearly killed him before ordering said erasing. She also complained about having to cross his name in every single one of her works even now.)

He had heard about Poseidon and Hades, but they had also died.

Overall, it was a bit strange to be around his in-laws, at least for the moment, with their wounds so fresh. Except for Ares, he did like the god and Delia seemed to love her uncle. Well, she loved them all, but Theo was sure she had preferences.

They all did enjoy being around the baby. When she was born, Theo and Apollo had gotten a golden cradle, courtesy of the smith god. Aphrodite had gotten her a beautiful dress that never got dirty. Ares had wanted to give her a spear, but Hermes advice him to wait until she was older. Hermes, on the other hand, had given her a pair of moon shaped earrings.

” from one of her aunts and me” the messenger god had said

But of course, there was an issue: she didn’t have any earring holes.

“Oh, since I’m her favorite aunt, Delia will get a free piercing in my salon!” Apparently, the goddess who needed two strange guards to hold her breast with their hands had her own small business in Olympus. Who would have thought?

“Is this a good idea, Lolo?” Theo asked as he held their daughter. Apollo was the one who knew how to guide the horses, so it was up to him to hold her

“Don’t worry, my love: Aphrodite is a professional “the sun god assured him, as he lowered the horse drawn chariot on what looked like a city he had seen in the movies at his job.

“I mean, I don’t see an issue with Delia getting earrings…but what can even pierce her skin?” The girl giggled in his arms. In truth, he was scared: wouldn’t it hurt her?

“Well, the same things that can pierce mine “Apollo, after all, had some earrings himself. That was because they healed since he had taken them off for his fight. At least the ones he had over his eyes hadn’t (they were apparently called piercings and even humans had  “don’t you want to get yours pierced too? I bet you’d look cute “

“That’s for women “he pouted, but well, recalled a small detail: he had seen male gods who did wear it, like the one who was shot in the head by that Finnish sniper, and Apollo did have rubies on his hair ”I mean, they do look good on you, but it’s not my thing “

“I think it is “ Apollo kissed his cheek, and Delia angrily babbled before he kissed her cheek too “don’t be jealous of your papa, darling “

And that calmed her down. Apollo helped them off his chariot and opened the door of his aunt’s salon.

“Oh there you are, darlings!” Aphrodite greeted them. She, of course, had two servants by her sides who carried her large attributes “where’s the cutest girl in Olympus ?”

The baby giggled and her moved her arms. Aphrodite carefully took her from Theo’s arms.

“Oh, you can’t say hi yet?” The goddess asked, Delia just babbling in response . The place was full of nymphs and other strange rock men who carried all the “well I thought the same about your dad long ago, and now we can’t keep his mouse shut “

“She’s half human, a couple of weeks and she will be singing “Apollo assured his aunt. Theo followed closely, unsure if he should speak

“Right, she’s such a darling “ the goddess smiled “and with her papa’s eyes! Green is a cute color, you look as nice as…what was your name again, sweetheart ?”

Oh right, she was talking to him now. He had just been standing awkwardly next to his boyfriend

“Theodorus…but just Theo is fine” he usually wasn’t that shy, but it was a bit intimidating to be near the goddess, for many reasons. Ok, two huge reasons.

He heard some of the helping nymphs giggle, was he really that obvious ?

Aphrodite still held the baby as he approached the ex mortal “well, Theo, you have very cute eyes. No wonder why Apollo had to have you for himself “

“Oh my darling’s eyes are not his only good quality” his boyfriend kissed him gently

Aphrodite giggled “I know, I know…” but she noticed something on Theo, judging by her stare “wait sweetheart, you don’t have any earrings! Apollo, what kind of boyfriend are you?“

“Dite, Theo doesn’t want to use earrings “ his boyfriend said gently “remember he’s mortal, it’s more for women where he’s from”

It wasn’t comfortable to stand with her while the huge rock servants held her breasts, much less when she held the baby. He handed her to Apollo for a moment and one of the beings brought forth a strange, rectangular object that looked like a miniature television

“Hmm I could still pierce your ears, I only have three appointments this afternoon…well four, with Apollo “ of course , his partner wanted to get his hair done

“It’s really not necessary, lady Aphrodite“ how should he call her ? He wasn't sure of how she would react if he was wrong

Delia protested a bit, she wanted whatever her great aunt was holding. The goddess smiled and pinched Theo’s cheek a bit

“Lady Aphrodite sounds too formal, sweetheart. Just Aphrodite is good, or Dite, like Apollo does “ it was a bit of a challenge to keep his eyes on her eyes, physics was kind of not doing its part either “but if you don’t want to get your ears pierced, how about you get pampered a bit? You just had a baby after all”

Usually his mom would be in bed for a week, but Theo? That…god? Yes, god, who treated him had told him he was good to go between a few hours

“Say yes, my love. You deserve to be spoiled, and trust me, no one takes care of a deity’s hair like Dite does “ well, seeing Apollo trusted her, he didn’t see why not, but…

“But Delia might be a bit scared to get her ears pierced “ he knew it was normal for baby girls to get their ears pierced young, some of his neighbors had done so, but still…

“Oh don’t worry, I got mine pierced when I was a few hours old “ Apollo assured him as he carefully handled his little girl to his aunt “by Dite herself, and they still look good, don’t they?”

“Well…yes “ Theo admitted “they look beautiful on you…but won’t she be afraid “

“Oh don’t worry, I know exactly how to make sure she’s very comfortable “Aphrodite assured him as one of her  servants touched the strange rectangular thing…

And it began to let some noise out, which caught Delia’s attention. She even stopped babbling and trying to grab her great aunt’s hair.

“It worked with her dad, and my little Eros “the goddess explained. It was one of those moving pictures that he’d see in a movie theatre

“Maybe I should stay with her “ Theo insisted.

Apollo held his hand “if you want so, darling”

“You two are adorable “Aphrodite smiled, and the baby babbled as she kept playing with the strange rectangular thing “okay, the three of you “

Turns out that, to pierce a baby god’s, Aphrodite had a strange looking…thing? Which she said was a piercing gun. Guns seemed to do more than just shooting bullets now.

He held his daughter’s hand gently, and he felt Apollo hold his. Theo was worried it would hurt to her…but Delia barely even reached. She just babbled

“May I put the earrings on her? “Apollo asked. He had brought them already. Aphrodite gave him a nod, and the sun god gently put the moon earrings on their daughter “you look beautiful, sunshine!”

The girl laughed and smiled.

“You are the prettiest girl I have seen!” Theo cooed at her.  She really did enjoy her attention

Some nymphs brough over a lot of things he had never seen “And now is both your turn to get some attention! Apollo dear, are you sure you don’t want to do anything about, you know…”

The huge scar he had on his face, yes. It did look good on him, Theo had to admit, but he still couldn’t believe just how close he had been to losing his boyfriend.

“Oh, don’t worry about it, it’s the best way to remember King Leonidas and Geirololul “of course, Apollo did think otherwise.  Theo could barely recall a good part of the fight, but he had softly spoken about his opponents to him and Python, who turned out to be an old friend of his and not his mortal enemy. The…snake? was quite nice if he was honest.

“All right all right, I will just have my nymphs pierce your ears again and care for your hair” well, now he knew where Apollo would go to get his beauty routine. She had some of her nymphs sit Apollo on a chair “And you, Theo? Hmmm…no ear piercing, but I think you could use hair treatment too. You do need to relax a bit, sweetheart. I know how hard it is to be a first-time parent”

“It has been a bit easier than with my siblings “Theo admitted, but the goddess still had her nymph workers sit him in a chair. “Human babies don’t grow that fast. She can even sit on her own while and she is not even a month old yet”

“Oh right, humans do tend to take a bit more for it” she smiled. Delia was trying to grab the flowers on her hair “you two relax, I want to take care for my new adorable niece” the goddess left them to the care of her workers.

Theo did have to admit that whatever they were using in his hair did seem to rise away all of his problems, and he was happy hearing his baby giggle as Aphrodite really took it to heart to look out for her while they were both getting worked on by her nymphs.

Chapter 2: So your in-laws and boyfriend's acquaintances wanted your whole kind dead

Chapter Text

Usually, Apollo would mostly invite his family over to the Sun palace, but this time, it was a goddess from a faraway land who was coming over.  She was the one who had carried the sun so Apollo could have two weeks off after their baby was born, so of course they had invited her over to thank her. That and well, Lolo had admitted that he was worried about her. Of course, he didn’t want to go in blind, so Theo decided to ask to the best source about godly information that you could find in the Sun Palace about her

“Lady Amaterasu is the leader of the Shinto pantheon, the gods that rule over Japan “ Clio explained while she was writing one of her two new books. One had a young, strong man fighting a huge lion (he was Heracles, his late brother-in-law, as she explained when he had first seen her write it) the other simply had a lure on its cover. As she put it, it was how our stories actually happen, not how humans think they did. She did suggest he shouldn’t read it, which, after everything he had gone through, meant he HAD to read it “she is one of lord Apollo’s friends, and another of the sun deities “

“She carries the sun… and that’s about all I know about her” He wasn’t too familiar with her. Well, he was barely familiar with the Greek pantheon in the first place.

Apollo was busy changing their daughter’s clothes, as it was his turn now. Delia was to fuzzy if the muses tried to change her so it was up to the two of them to do, with varied results as she couldn’t just stay put for a bit.

“Yes, along with Apollo and Ra” Calliope chimed in as she was writing in her…eh, television? “it’s her turn today so that’s why she’s coming over tomorrow “

“Hey that’s wrong, sister “ Clio corrected her “While the three of them have the main responsibility, gods and goddesses of other pantheons do have their own share of it! “

“I had forgotten” Calliope sighed “my stories do focus more on humans themselves, so details about the pantheons’ gods just evade me.”

Clio had gone back to focus on her writing, but simply hummed in agreement to her sister, much to the older muse’s irritation.

Despite being sister’s, the two were quite different. Clio was too stubborn to write on the strange small televisions that gods had, insisting they were a waste of time and an insult to the craft, while Calliope found them to be more practical as they allowed her to multitask.

You could talk to Calliope while she wrote. With Clio, if you aren’t Lolo, once she began to write, she wouldn’t pay you any attention unless she wanted to hear your opinion about her latest piece.

“You know more than I do “Theo tried to cheer her up “I can barely remember her name “

“You’ll do just fine “ Calliope assured him.

Still, it wasn’t really recalling her name what was bothering him.

“I mean, it’s still…strange “he admitted. He wasn’t sure if it was something he would discuss with the other muses, but Calliope…he was sure she had let him get the horse, not that he had slipped by chance. “She did vote to exterminate humanity…talking to every god I have met besides you guys and Lolo is just…strange “that was putting it in mild terms .“what did we do to deserve it ?”

Calliope sighed “it’s hard to explain” she admitted “Many gods didn’t have good opinions on humanity already, and then…. you were born right after a war that showed some of the worst aspects of them, and the land she cares for suffered and committed atrocities that left scars to many mortals. “

“But did we…”no, he was no longer human. It was still hard to remember “does that mean they should have been exterminated? I…I know it’s weird, I love Lolo, but…just knowing most gods wanted us…them…gone…”

He knew most of his in-laws had voted to exterminate humanity, while Lolo and the muses hadn’t even attended the conference they held to decide if humanity deserved to continue existing. Hermes had told him about, simply shrugging after Lolo told him it might not be kind to tell him such things, and even adding that Aphrodite gave the best arguments for it. He at first felt too nervous around her, even if she was nice.

Lady Aphrodite hadn’t been just a polite way to address her. He had worried that the wrong words could have upset her.  But she was genuinely worried about how he was doing, and didn’t charge him or Delia for her services (Apollo was a client so he did have to pay)

Ares was a case where he was confused by how nice the god was. And even he had wanted people of earth dead.

Heracles got his powers to defend Thebes against our brother, Ares, and his army. Clio had been reading her works to him, now that she was writing about for their deceased brother and wanted the opinion of someone who didn’t know him. Weird, he thought, but she explained that it was to know if it was an entertaining tale and Theo was the only god she could ask about it.  he was named Alcides back then, did you know ?

And yet…Ares he was kind, asked Theo if he felt alright with well, everything, and was a good uncle to his daughter, even if he didn’t seem to like being near Lolo if he could help it.

He hadn’t interacted much with his father-in-law. Ragnarok had luckily not been kind to the gods….

No, no, he really shouldn’t think that. He had almost lost Lolo there. Theo was a god himself now, and so was his daughter. He couldn’t imagine what would have happened if his boyfriend had turned into dust

He felt Calliope’s hand on his shoulder

“You can rest assured that it won’t happen again “ she told him gently “the gods learned quite a lot about humans, and after the stunt Odin pulled, I’m sure they’re all now glad that Brunhilde decided to step in for you”

“She got killed for it “Theo sighed. But it was weird, part of him hated the Valkyries, despite everything. Apollo could forgive them, he even hugged the one who had fought him….

But the scar was still on his face. He looked handsome with it, yes, but it always reminded Theo just how close he had been to losing the love of his life…

He could hear Apollo hum while he tried to finish dressing Delia. She liked to move a lot, it was a challenge even for the two of them, but music would calm her down just enough for her dad to finish with her.

Lolo was so beautiful in every way that someone could be. At night, Theo would hug him tightly just to make sure he was still there. His hair was soft and felt almost like silk…

And he nearly died. Python did tell him that he had to carry Lolo to the infirmary, and that he had collapsed after being out of the public’s eyes. All because the Valkyrie sent a King who hated him more than anyone or anything.

And yet, without the Valkyrie’s courage, it would have been his family and all of humanity who would have perished

Clio had stopped writing  “hmm, besides Lord Apollo, which of our brothers do you think  is the most handsome one, Cal?”

Aaand that was the sign that maybe he should go look at his daughter and boyfriend.

Chapter Text

There was a reason Theo wasn’t supposed to go beyond his boyfriend’s statues: it turns out that side of the palace had a road like ramp.  One fit for any carriage or whatever a god could want to pull in there.

He was holding little Delia as Apollo helped his friend get off hers.

“You must be Theodorus “Amaterasu was beautiful”, he had to admit it. She had hair so long that it reached her feet, tied in two braids. Her nails were almost as long as a finger. He wasn’t sure of what the word was for the kind of dress she used, but it made her look beautiful. She had scarf placed like a billowing cloud on her shoulders, which accompanied her sun tattoo. She also had a giant golden sun ornament in her forehead. “it’s a pleasure to meet you” the goddess smiled.

Her makeup seemed to have been applied quiet recently, as the one she used for her eyes (eyeliner, the muses had introduced it to him a few years ago when he met them) was a bit shorter than in her right eye than in her left eye. Just how did he notice? Ah, right, he had godly senses or something like that. It was amazing how much had missed by being confined just to the palace.

Still, it was never easy to meet another deity “it’s nice to meet you as well “was all he could think of. Delia, on the other hand, seemed more interested in the shiny golden decorations she had. Was it a sun god thing?

“This is Delia, our little girl “Apollo said proudly. The girl looked at her and smiled, Theo was sure she could tell when they were talking about her.

“She’s adorable! “The goddess pinched her cheek a bit “nice moon earrings, sweetheart. My brother would love them!”

Delia just babbled. For a human, it would be impressive considering she wasn’t even two months old. For a baby goddess…

“Aw poor thing, you will learn to speak soon enough “the goddess assured her “I brought her some gifts too, I hope it’s okay with the two of you”

By some gifts, the goddess had meant a whole separate carriage full of golden toys that she had her servant’s offload into Delia’s room.

With that amount of toys, Theo’s village…no, every child in Greece could have had toys for life

She also had a gift for him and Lolo: a special mirror, which would allow them to see Delia whenever they needed. His partner had asked if she was sure she wanted to give such a gift to them, but she had insisted that yes, she did.

The muses were really life savers: they had prepared some tea and pastries for their guests. One thing that neither he or Lolo could do was cooking, as Theo never learned since his mom insisted it was only for women, and his partner wasn’t the god of cooking.

To feed Delia, just regular goat milk was enough. Alright, those goats were probably magical goats for all he knew, but they didn’t talk at least. That was quite comfortable at that point.

She had her own little chair, courtesy of his brother-in-law of course, and was seated between her parents. From time to time, Delia would try to grab Theo’s sun shaped necklace, with no luck so far.

The girl could hold her bottle by herself by now. Part of Theo had wished that she’d take a bit longer, as he did enjoy holding her to feed her, or being next to Lolo when he was the one feeding her, but she didn’t seem to enjoy it anymore.

The goddess, still, was curious about one thing “won’t the little one be eating a cookie too? I think she deserves it “

“She doesn’t have any teeth yet “Apollo answered.

“Oh, I see, how curious “she smiled and drank her tea “it’s better that way, teeth and baby gods aren’t a good mix “

“Do you have children, miss Amaterasu?” Theo asked curiously. Then he wondered if it had been a good idea to make the question, as it showed he didn’t know her at all

“Just Amaterasu is fine” The goddess smiled. Theo was sure he saw her teacup shake for a second before she took a sip, steady once again as if it had never happened “I don’t, but I’m an older sister”

Lolo smiled “the best oldest sister in the heavens, but don’t tell Aphrodite I said that “

Wait, wasn’t she…no no, which was something he could just ask another day.

So, she was an older sister….

Oh gods, now that he remembered….

“You are too kind, Apolo” she chuckled, Delia was still busy with her bottle but once she finished, she giggled “Tsukuyomi was an easy child, always quiet and would eat anything without issue. Susano’o well, he was more interested in trying to see if he could use his knives as swords “

Susano’o was the god who fought right after Lolo, against a young boy from Japan. Well, young was relative: from what little he could recall, as Theo had been busier worrying about Lolo and speaking with Python, the boy, a samurai named Okita, was born one hundred years before him.

And the winner… well, that had been humanity’s fifth victory, just as Lolo had been the God’s. He couldn’t deny that he had been happy …

Lolo, as typical of him, had only said that it was beautiful to see Susano’o achieve his dream of going against the rival he’d always wanted. Even among gods, he had learned that it wasn’t a shared opinion.

Theo just politely smiled and distracted himself by playing with Delia, unsure of what he should say. What a cute girl she was, all giggly and smiley.

His little daughter. Lolo wasn’t sure what she could be goddess of yet, as gods could earn their domain just like he had. Theo, on the other hand, was given his by his partner (he wasn’t quite sure what it was)

For now, she just enjoyed being spoiled rotten by her family. The muses often bickered over who among them was going to babysit if they needed to leave their girl with them (Theo would frankly choose Calliope) and she liked to pet her papa’s fire horses.

Theo would occasionally look at his sun god: as beautiful as ever, of course. The scar was beginning to feel natural to him, but he would still recall how the spartan king nearly killed him.

And, for reasons he couldn’t understand, he found himself looking at the goddess.

Her smile had occasional cracks on it, just like his mom’s back after dad had died and his brothers asked if they would ever see him again.  He wasn’t sure of what exactly where they talking about, but he could see it. Amaterasu’s eyes stared at Apollo, but they did not look at him. Despite how gorgeous she was, something about her felt off.

“…and that’s why I think I can cover for you for another month “that got him back to reality

“I don’t know” Apollo said as he took a sip of his tea “I would love to spend more time with my two beauties, but it’s my duty to carry the sun and you’ve already helped me too much. Besides, it would be unkind to keep you from your responsibilities with your pantheon “

“It would be nothing, really “her smile hadn’t cracked this time, but he could swear her cup was shaking again, with the contents in danger of spilling “things are slow in the Takamagahara right now, so I can spare some extra days “

Of course, Theo had been curious about what exactly had befallen to the fighters. He could recall how the bodies of the two gods who fought after Lolo had begun to glow in green, before slowly falling apart, like ash. He had asked Clio, as he was still trying not to speak about the fights themselves with Lolo.

“those were their souls” she had started to write her brother’s story by then, only deciding to answer his question in exchange of him reviewing her chapters once she was done with each of them “ see, that’s the one thing we have in common with humans, and all living creatures for that matter: souls. What you saw during Ragnarok were souls getting destroyed: those who suffer from that fate can’t reincarnate, all that’s left from them is nothing but a memory…”

His in-laws still mourned their fallen gods. It was no secret. They mourned their uncles and brother. In the case of his father-in-law, he mourned a son and his older brothers.

Amaterasu had lost her little brother. He wasn’t just dead: the god was gone forever.

He had vague memories of that fight, too busy holding Lolo’s hand while the nurses bandaged him and explained that he mostly had internal injuries. Python had helped to calm Theo down, but because of it, he could barely remember how the fight had gone.

He had only paid attention to the last ones, still a bit puzzled on how could Lolo find it beautiful when the green haired Norse god was shot right between his eyebrows by a Finnish sniper and the one with an Egyptian dog-like god who ended up winning against a man with the biggest axe he’d seen.

Then all that stuff with the Norse Chief had gone down, but that he still preferred to forget.

And still….

For the goddess, that had to be a moment she would never forget. It was maybe selfish of Theo to think that it was the moment where she had seen the mistake of voting for humanity’s destruction. It was the moment where she felt what humans had felt for thousands of years.

When his dad had died, he had no time to mourn as he went to work to make sure his family would not starve. Being distracted picking the olives in the field made sure he wouldn’t cry his eyes out, for a man couldn’t be seen crying.

He didn’t know if he could just tell the goddess that crying was alright: she was the chief of her pantheon. So, what he could do…

“Lolo, I think…” but Theo couldn’t finish what he was going to say, for his daughter didn’t appreciate that he stopped playing with her and grabbed his sun necklace.

The thing with baby gods was that they were a bit too strong. More so considering that Theo was a strange case among gods, and his strength, while above a human’s, wasn’t comparable.

“Sunshine…let me go…”  he asked, but she babbled angrily. Delia didn’t mean to harm him, but for the love of God, it hurt.

“Sunshine, stop, you are harming papa “Apollo tried to make her let go of the necklace, but he thankfully knew it could hurt her if he was too rough. He has unfortunately left his threads to be repaired so that was also not a possibility at the moment

At that moment, Theo did thank that he wasn’t a human, or else he’d be dead by now. Delia babbled and laughed, thinking it was a game

But let him go all of a sudden. Theo took deep breaths while Apollo checked his throat, softly kissing his cheek to heal any injury he could have.

To his surprise, Amaterasu was holding the baby

“Oh, you little rascal, your poor papa doesn’t have the strength of a full god “the sun goddess didn’t sound angry. She held Delia with care, holding her back softly

“Thank you…” Theo mumbled, his throat had thankfully not been hurt

“Delia, your poor papa could have been hurt “Lolo frowned, but she looked tearful “no no sweetheart I’m sorry, I didn’t want to upset you! “

“No young lady, don’t play victim here “the goddess, on the other hand, was stern “I know it’s tempting to grab shiny objects, but- “

And as she talked, Delia grabbed her hair. Both Theo and Apollo were ready for another tug war, until the older goddess simply pat the back of the baby’s hand and she had let go

Amaterasu wasn’t angry. Quite the opposite, she smiled and pet the girl’s hair “you remind me of my…of someone…” she sighed, and for a moment, Theo forgot she was a goddess. It was a familiar feeling for humans, but for a deity… “so, Theodorus, what did you want to say?”

Oh right “Hah…I think it’s a good idea if you want to cover for Lolo. I’m still unsure of how to handle our little sunshine, and even the muses have some issues with her from time to time…and just Theo is fine!”

“Well, if my beauty thinks so, then I thank you for helping me with the sun “Apollo smiled.

It wasn’t ideal, he knew it. But being up there, with…did she use horses for the sun too? Frankly he didn’t know, but at least she could cry without worrying that someone would see her.

The goddess left before dawn, inviting them to go to her lands as well. She looked at the baby, and at the mirror she had given them quickly before getting into her carriage.

“My beauty, did you notice something odd on her?” Apollo asked once she was gone. Delia was sleep by now, held by the pink haired god “there was something off in my dear friend, but I can’t quite tell what it was “

He hesitated. It shouldn’t have been a surprise that Lolo had noticed, but explaining it…

“I think she is still mourning her brother “Theo answered as they both walked back into the palace.

“Mourning him?” Lolo asked, puzzled “but Susano’o died in such a beautiful way, he had his dream fight against that young man and gave his all for it. Izanagi himself healed Okita Soji. “

In Theo’s opinion, that had been odd: had Lolo…no, he didn’t want to think if it. All he knew was that he would have been far less forgiving than the Shinto gods, if Lolo wasn’t by his side. He stopped walking, much to his partner’s surprise.

“Is something wrong?” Lolo seemed to be still worried. The former mortal carefully reached to kiss him, making sure not to wake up their baby. Theo was a lucky god.
