Chapter Text
Alix furrowed her brows as she stared at the sketch Nathaniel gave her.
Kim having a crush on her? Pfft yeah right as if .
Nathaniel had to be on something because there was no way Kim’s words or his hug at the skating rink meant anything. Or did it?
Whatever, it’s not like it mattered to her.
He’s an idiot, however, as of recently, she realised he possessed good qualities which outweighed his rebellious traits.
Like his optimistic supportive nature, or his ability to own up to his mistakes. His albeit comforting gentleness, his radiant contagious
smile which could light up a room, his reassuring gaze. His soft quiff, she’d tried the brand of shampoo he said he used and her hair
remained stubborn. Huh, maybe he was just blessed with good hair. His stunning, cool grey eyes which ………..Wait….. What?
Since when did she start admiring his features?
Since when did he become so mature?
And since when did he become attractive to her? Like attracting her to him kind of attractive and not because he's good looking? (not
that he wasn't, he's definitely very attractive ).
Strange, maybe it has to do with all the pretending they’ve been doing recently.
Yeah, that has to be it . All this pretending has started to confuse her brain. It’s not like she wanted him to be her idiot. One thing’s for
sure, she really needed to figure out what was causing this knot in her chest .

“Let's take a swim while we wait for Jose and Estelle to arrive.” Kim beamed, hopping into the pool.
“No thanks,” Alix stated rather plainly
“Oh come on pink pie,” he dared, "don't you want to swim with your baby?”
“Not really.” Alix mumbled, turning away.
All the playfulness in his tone vanished. “Are you still nervous ?”
“Kind of.” Alix admitted.
“Come here.” he said as he reached for her waist to gently pull her into the water. To his surprise, she didn’t resist but her gaze
revealed her uneasiness.
“I promise I won't let you go until you’re comfortable, Alix.” Kim assured. Her gaze softened, “I know,” she smiled, “thank you.”
Goodness her ocean eyes were breathtakingly distracting. Kim wasn’t sure how much longer he could bury these feelings in front of
her. “ Um Alix, there’s-
“Aww you guys are so adorable “
The duo whipped their heads in the direction of Estelle’s voice.
“ Tha- thank you.” Kim spluttered, clearing his throat . “Alright, since you guys are here, let’s get this date started.”
…………………………………………………………..
It was an enjoyable date all things considered. Mindful of her dislike of swimming, Kim carried Alix on his back for most of the
time, with the excuse of wanting to be as close as possible to his sweetheart. Which was ironic because if anything, he was being the
sweetheart. Alix watched her boyfriend ( FAKE! FAKE BOYFRIEND NOT REAL ) raced Jose in a few laps, had a cannon ball contest, and
did a few dives to “impress” her off of the diving board.
´He’s like an overgrown kid.´she inwardly mused.
“There’s no denying that you’re in love with Kim.” Estelle gushed, “I can tell just by the way you look at him.”
“Really?” Alix wondered. “ You can tell just by that alone ?”
“Of course!” Estelle grinned. “ It's supposed to be obvious.”
“Obvious huh?” Alix thought. But she wasn’t in love with Kim….was she?

“Awesome job today guys! Remember we’re going to have a short break from classes for the next two weeks. Make sure you exercise
and stretch during that time period as we will be resuming in full swing!” Talia bubbled.
Alix reunited with her beloved bench as she retrieved water from her bag.
“So what are the plans for next week sugar plum?” Kim inquired.
“What do you mean? Alix challenged.
“Well, I've gotten accustomed to spending all my free time with you so it would feel strange, as well as mundane not to hang out with you for the upcoming weeks.” Kim replied.
“Oh? so I keep you entertained Hercules?” Alix teased.
“Very much so, yes my Violet.” Kim engaged.
“ In that case, do you wanna go to the arcade next Tuesday?” Alix suggested.
“Just the two of us?” Kim queried
“Sure," Alix grinned, " why not.”
