Naruto was grinning far too wide for Sakura’s liking. That was always a red flag.
“Guys, check this out! I found this scroll in Baa-chan’s office. It’s a teleportation jutsu!” he announced, proudly holding up a very suspicious piece of parchment.
Sakura rubbed her temples. “Naruto… how many times have we told you not to mess with forbidden scrolls?”
Sasuke crossed his arms, glaring. “Hn. Idiot.”
Kakashi flipped a page of his Icha Icha without looking up. “I’ll allow this disaster to unfold. Should be entertaining.”
“Sensei!” Sakura snapped, glaring at him.
But it was too late—Naruto slammed his hand on the scroll and yelled, “Teleportation Jutsu, dattebayo!”
A blinding light swallowed the room.
When it faded, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi were coughing from smoke. Sakura, however… was gone.
“…Naruto,” Kakashi drawled, finally looking up, “what did you do?”
Naruto blinked. “Uh… surprise?”
Sasuke lunged for his collar. “You idiot, where did you send her?!”
Naruto flailed. “I don’t know!!”
Sakura woke up flat on her back in the middle of a training ground. Her head pounded.
“…If Naruto’s jutsu didn’t kill me, I’m going to kill him,” she muttered.
“Oi, you okay?”
Sakura sat up to find herself staring at… Genma Shiranui, senbon bobbing casually in his mouth. Except… he looked younger. Like late twenties younger.
“Who… are you?” she blurted.
Genma raised an eyebrow. “Who am I? Who are you? You just dropped out of nowhere.”
Before Sakura could answer, another voice spoke. “Genma, report.”
Sakura’s head snapped around. And there he was—Shisui Uchiha (She only recognized him because she remembers him from when she was really young, she recalls him picking up Sasuke sometimes from the Academy with Itachi). Mask off, ANBU gear on, eyes sharp and playful.
Her heart stuttered. “…You’ve got to be kidding me.”
He crouched in front of her, Sharingan spinning lazily. “Never seen you before. Civilian? Or shinobi?”
Sakura swallowed. Holy crap, he’s alive.
“I’m… a shinobi,” she managed.
Genma chuckled. “Pretty, too. Think we should haul her to the Hokage?”
“Minato-sama’s orders,” Shisui said smoothly, then offered Sakura a hand. “Come on. Don’t try anything funny.”
Sakura stared at his hand, brain short-circuiting. Shisui Uchiha is alive. Minato is Hokage. Oh god. Ohhhh god.
The Hokage’s door slammed open. “Minato!” Kushina burst in, red hair flying. “Did you hear? Genma and Shisui dragged in some mystery girl—ohhh she’s so cute!!”
Sakura nearly choked. Kushina Uzumaki was right there. Alive. Radiant. And already hugging her like a long-lost daughter.
“W-Wait—”
“Nonsense, you’re coming over for dinner!” Kushina announced. “Minato! Approve this adoption!”
Minato, behind the desk, looked tired but fond. “Kushina…”
Shisui was leaning against the wall, smirking at Sakura’s suffering. Genma was already making bets with Kakashi—who had just walked in looking way too young.
“Yo,” Kakashi greeted, mask up, orange book in hand.
Sakura just slumped into a chair. I’m going to strangle Naruto.
Of course, word spread quickly in the Uchiha clan.
By the time Mikoto invited her to dinner, Sakura was ready to scream. Fugaku sat at the head of the table glaring holes into her. Sasuke—about 13 years old—just scowled suspiciously. Itachi, 18 and ANBU, politely asked questions while clearly analyzing every breath she took.
And Shisui? He was sitting beside her, grinning like this was the best entertainment he’d had all week.
“So… Sakura, was it?” he asked smoothly. “Where are you from, exactly?”
“Uh… far away,” Sakura hedged.
“Far enough you’ve never heard of me?” he teased.
Sakura raised a brow. “You’re not that famous.” She’s lying, Shisui is indeed VERY famous, even in her world despite him being dead.
Itachi nearly spat out his tea. Mikoto gasped. Even Fugaku twitched.
Shisui blinked—then laughed. Loud, genuine, delighted laughter.
“Oh, I like her,” he declared.
Sakura groaned. Kill me now.
Naruto was pacing holes into the ground. “Okay okay okay, don’t panic-“
”IM NOT PANICKING, YOU MORON,”Sasuke yelled, panic all over his face.
Kakashi sighed, flipping his book. “…I should start writing her eulogy.”
Naruto froze. “Eulogy?!”
Kakashi side-eyed him. “You just yeeted her somewhere in space-time, Naruto. She’s either dead, kidnapped, or…” He trailed off. “Actually, knowing Sakura, she’s probably making someone else’s life hell.”
Sasuke groaned into his hands. “We’re doomed.”
Back in the random dimension Sakura found herself in, Sakura somehow found herself sparring with Shisui.
“You fight weird,” he noted, dodging her punch. “Like you’re holding back.”
“That’s because if I don’t hold back, I’ll level your training ground,” Sakura shot back.
Shisui grinned. “Prove it.”
She did. One earth-shattering punch later, the ground was cracked wide open. Shisui stared, then whistled.
“…Marry me.”
“WHAT?!” Sakura shrieked.
Watching the match from the sidelines, Itachi facepalmed. Kushina cheered. Mikoto squealed. Fugaku muttered about “Damn pink-haired girl who randomly appeared infecting Uchihas.”
Later that night, Sakura sat under the stars, trying to figure out her next move.
Shisui plopped down beside her. “You’re different. I don’t know why, but… you don’t feel like you’re from here.”
Sakura stiffened. “…”
He smirked. “Don’t worry. Your secret’s safe. For now.”
Back in the original timeline—
Naruto: “GUYS I THINK I CAN REVERSE THE JUTSU.”
Sasuke: “Don’t you dare—”
BOOM. Another explosion rocked the ground.
Kakashi: “Oh for fuck’s sake.”
