   Summary

   Most of the time he could cope. Occasionally, the pain was so unbearable he could barely function. But as the strawhats' first mate, he couldn't afford to have his vulnerabilities exposed, lest it put the crew in danger.
   How lucky for him, then, that everything he needed during a bad chronic pain flare-up conveniently turned up on its own.

   Essentially: Zoro being a dumbass, the crew showing they care in their own way, and Sanji accepting he is in love with an idiot.
