   Summary

   Just as Sauron's wolves were about to devour the first of Finrod's brave companions in the pit of Tol-in-Gaurhoth, time and the world stopped, and then turned. Sauron walked into the pit, calm, pensive, a profound and great light now contained within a mortal shell that was elven-fair. And then things became truly strange.

   When you see that single discordant loose thread in the tapestry of a black fate, do you pull? Do you leap to unravel the blackness and the Marring, at the risk of unraveling everything you know about the world?
