The night was still young and everything was going to be perfect, as I stood in front of my mirror looking at myself in my Winter Formal gown. I was so happy that I couldn't stop smiling. My hair was in a braided bun that Nana did up for me, and my dress was the perfect shade of sky blue, what could go wrong?

Spring Log: Just Another day
Dear Spring Log it is the middle of the year and everyday i still wonder if I'm ever gonna forget that day. Winter Formal was 4 Months ago and yet it still lives in my head and roams around waiting for it to be brought up again but I just can’t seem to leave it behind. Hopefully I don’t see him around, OH DAMMIT! I have history today….. Oh well I’ll just sit in the back again
Daily reminder: ask for Maddie’s notes from economics last week, and Lacey’s dance recital is Friday.
I shut my book, and placed it back under my bed to see again when I felt like it. Today is just another day since then, since him, ever since he has never left my head, I still groan at the sight of him. Three knocks came at the door that gave me a little jolt as I rose up from my bed, “Miss Eris?”, oh it was just Eve coming to wake me up today, “Are you awake?” I was still yawning from last night when I was working on my speech until I finally responded “Yes, come in Eve”. She opened the door with a rack full of my school’s uniform all in different colours depending on what day it is, “Hope you had a good rest your highness” Eve was always by my side whenever it came to school so no matter where i am she is there.
“Today is Monday which means…”
“It is lilac today Miss Eris”
“Correct again” I said with a big smile, Eve has been by my side since i became a teenager, and always keeps me on schedule. “So what is happening today Eve?”
“Ah yes” she pulled out a small slip of paper from her right pocket and read it aloud to me “ 1. Breakfast in the Morning Room 2. Speech practice at your council meeting and lastly your needed at the stables today for riding practice”
“Let me guess Monsieur Florian wants me to show him the routine again for the fifth time this month”
“Yes”
“Okay” Since last year my time at home has never been like it used to be, my father has less time to spend with me, my sisters have been having fun at school, and mother is busy with my baby brother Fredrick. I just wonder if they really were true or am I just scared?

“Isn’t this fun Eris?” Maddie asked, but I couldn’t hear her from all the noises, “What?”
“I said, isn't this fun?” she said again
“Yeah kinda” I still couldn’t find him since he left to get me a drink “Have you seen Ace?” I asked Hollow dancing beside me with Ellie texting on her phone on her left, “No? ELLIE!” Ellie jumped at her sound “HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR BROTHER?” Hollow’s voice could be heard very clearly when she was yelling directly at Ellie’s distraught face, “No he said he was going to get Eris a drink”
“But that was 30 minutes ago” I told her
“Well he probably got distracted, want to look for him?”
“Sure, we’ll be back!” I yelled at Hollow who went back to dancing her heart out to her favourite song.
My thoughts drift away when another maid comes in to help me dress into my uniform, “All done your highness” I turn to the mirror and see myself in my lilac uniform. It is really nice and all but it was his favourite colour. My mind came back to reality to me walking down the hallway with all the portraits of my family being all perfect and happy. I stood in front of the very first picture of my father King Mateo on the throne next to my mother Queen Everbell. Ever since I heard how my parents' love story came to be I always hoped I would find love like they had one day. The doors had opened to the big dining table full of food full of breakfast waffles, sausages and fruits, that's when I sat down and the big launch of my sisters came through the door running from my father playing their morning game. Their little giggles remind me of how my father used to play with me, “Run, I am a monster and I’m gonna catch you!”, then he picked up Lacie in her little prep school uniform and her hair in pigtails “Ahhh, nooo I’ve been captured” she let out lots of snorts and giggles then father caught Daisy “Ahhh, daddy’s got me”, then last was Jessi and she was a very brave girl and ran to jump up to father toppling him over “I’ll save you girls” she called out. My fathers laughs make him feel young and his faces always lights up when he gets to have fun with the girls again, he turns to me with a bright smile “Morning Eris”, “Morning Father, Girls”
“Morning Eris!” a big shout across the room yelled. It was my Nana who was in her usual morning gardening outfit covered in dirt. “Hey Nana, planting again?” I asked
“No dearie it was running weed the gardeners and I were rounding them up” Nana has been cheerful since last week, only because I agreed to knit with her and chat about my life while she can. “So what for breakie?”
“This your highnesses” It was Mr Harris our chief, his food is so delicious that it tastes like heaven.

ONE HOUR LATER
I ran crying from the carriage to the hallways to my room ignoring everyone who came up to me, “Eris?” “Eris, are you okay dear?” “ERIS!?”, then a soft voice came from my door “Hi dearie are you okay?” I turned to her, my face drenched in tears, I tried to look at her but I couldn't face my own Nana, then she came and sat down next to me bringing me into a big hug. Then I let out every single drop of tears run down my face soaking her shirt.
After a few minutes Nana asked Eve to bring me some food since I was waiting for Ace to come back from the tables but never did. I opened the lid to reveal a delicious stack of my favourite sandwich with melted cheese and the ham and vegetables placed together with mayonnaise on the inside. That is when I took that bite and it felt like it was all a dream.
