Work Text:
Will holds his hand over the trigger. He takes the safety off and takes in a shaky breath. His eyes are laser focused on his prey.
This alpha will go down, Will thought. This is the bullet that will change history.
“You got your eyes on the target? Over.” Mike said through his radio moniter.
“Affirmative. Over.” Will whispered.
“You are free to take the shot.”
Will let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding. He prepared himself to pull the trigger.
Then, a cold shock ran through his body. Frigid hands gripped the back of his neck. The hairs on his arms stood up and instinctively Will flinched.
His hand slipped. A shot rang out.
The thousands that gathered to celebrate Donald Trump screamed as he was rushed to safety. Air escaped Will like the blood on Trumps face.
Will froze. He missed.
What would his family think?
What would his friends think?
What would Mike think?
Slowly, Will raised the barrel of the gun to his temple, and with the only bullet he had left, he blew his brains out.
