Chapter Text

'A bridge between two hearts; love'

Chapter 1: The ocean

Madoka held Homura in her arms, the stars faded away, the night came silent, as if mourning her death.
Madoka saw it all, each and every time that Homura tried to save her.
Tears fell down, Homura not moving at all.

Madoka cried for, her bestfriend.. Homura.
As if time came to reveal itself, Homura aged, turning into an adult.
Her hair came longer, body taller, and face became more refined.
Sunrise came, the birds sang a melancholic hymn.
Ravens flew beside them.

Yet, humanity still needs saving, Madoka couldn't give up there.
As a magical girl, Madoka fought witches, yet.. she killed relentlessly.
She killed for humanity's sake, and to avoid thinking about Homura.

She was the only one left, all the other magical girls became witches.
She didn't know how to grieve over them, if humanity needs saving.
Pondering upon her bed, she mourned all her friend's death.
Her soul gem was getting foggy, almost as if any wrong move, she'll become a witch.

Sometimes, when the nights are too cold and lonely, Madoka goes to the ocean.
Letting her feet feel the slow water, letting herself breathe the cold breeze.

Tears fell once more, the sun never rises anymore.
Perhaps mourning death's too, or maybe, Walpurgisnacht will come soon.

Madoka trained and fought, just to prepare to fight Walpurgisnacht.
One day, a storm came to their town, or... thats what the people said.
To Madoka's eyes, it was the mother of all witches; Walpurgisnacht.

It was like fighting an endless battle, yet, Madoka still had people to lose, Walpurgisnacht had no one.
'If you fight against someone who has no one to lose, they already won'
Madoka remembered that quote, yet she never stopped fighting.

It was, for humanity, or perhaps for... her friends sake.

The wind stopped, the sun rised, the stars lit up.
The moon let out a sigh of relief.
People went back to their houses, happily.

Madoka was tired, she didn't know what to do anymore.
She lost, a will.
Why should one always fight an endless battle, when it will never stop?
Why should one continue, when they lost their will?
Why should one save humanity, when humanity itself is evil?

The ocean's waves were slow.
The sun's shine was fading.
As if everything else was fading away, and she's being left, alone.
