Chapter 2: Paychecktime!!

Summary:

Uh Two time gets sick and chance and Elliot takes care of them

Chapter Text

Footsteps can be heard on the path as Elliot walks to Two time’s cabin, they weren’t there at breakfast, so Elliot decided to check on them.

“Two time, are you alright? You were not there for breakfast.” Shuffling can be heard behind the door, then some noticeably light footsteps. Then, the door creaks open. A two time wrapped in blankets like a burrito with a flushed face can be seen.

“My dear Elliot! Do not worry, I’m perfectly fine as you can see! Just lost my appetite!” Two time said clearly unwell and with a twitching tail (I hc 2t tail twitches when in distress or just uncomfortable/sick).

“Two time, you don’t look well, me and chance are worried… and look! Your face is all flushed!” Elliot said as his hand went to touch Two time’s forehead. “You're burning up and you say that you’re okay? Two time, let’s get you back to bed and I’ll get chance to bring some medicine… if we even have them…” Elliot mumbles out the last sentence then picks two time up and carries them back to bed, after settling Two time in bed, he walks out of the cabin and runs to the main cabin to fetch some fever reducer.

“Chance, can you please fetch a cup of water for Two time? Two time has gotten sick.” Elliot asks Chance who is currently sitting at the couch flipping his coin.

“Huh? Our dear moonlight has gotten sick? (I FEEL LIKE CHANCE WOULD USE PET NAMES AND STUFF) well that’s not good is it. well, it’s up to us, the lovely and amazing boyfriend to take care of our lovely moonlight!” Chance says with a smug smile and gets up from the couch after slipping his coin into his pocket. Then he proceeds to go to the kitchen where Elliot is currently is to get a cup of water from the tap (I feel like spectre won’t be kind enough to give them a kettle).

“Alright, I found the fever medicine, let’s go to Two time’s cabin.” Elliot said after grabbing the medicine from the medical box they kept for emergency or any sort illness.
After the duo got everything they needed, they went to Two Time’s cabin and gently knocked on the door. When they didn’t get any response from Two time, they knocked again just to get no response. So, they opened the door to see Two time sweating beads barely conscious.

“Holy shit Two time?!” Chance put down the glass of water onto the table where Two Time uses to draw (I hc two time drawing in their free time okay😓) and running up to them immediately checking their temperature, just as Chance puts the back of his hand onto Two Time’s fore head, he yanks it back up instantly from the burning temperature.

“Oh god he is burning up! What even is the cause of this!?” Chance mumbles to himself and quickly getting get to get a towel from the bathroom in Two time’s cabin and pouring half of the cold water from the glass onto the towel, then Chance folds the towel into a rectangle and puts it onto Two time’s forehead.

“Do you think he will be fine in the morning..?” Elliot says in a soft tone while getting out a pill of the medicine and tries to feed it to Two time. “I hope they do…” Elliot replies to Chance after getting Two time to sallow the pill somehow. Both of the. Just stared at Two time, Elliot occasionally played with Two Time’s hair and Chance has already fell asleep leaning on Two Time’s bed.

After a while, Elliot got up from his seat to go to his cabin to grab a blanket for Chance to use. After a few minutes, Elliot returned with his blanket in his hand, and Elliot draped the blanket onto Chance’s back then sat down on the chair on the bedside, after Elliot sat down, Elliot leaned into the bed and stared at Two time’s peaceful, but still flushed face, then he turned his head to look at Chance, Chance’s sliver grey hair downed and covering half of Chance’s face, but it was still a beautiful sight for Elliot to see.

“I must be the 2nd most lucky person in the world…” Elliot mumbles to himself smiling at their lovers faces. After a while, Elliot starts to feel drowsy, lets himself fall asleep leaning on Two time’s bed.

It was around afternoon (let’s pretend day and night exist here okay...?) when Two time wakes up from their slumber, still feeling a little drowsy from the fever, but he was feeling less tired and their head less painful and clogged nonetheless. Once Two time fully gained their eyesight and mind, they saw both of their boyfriend asleep leaning against their bed.

Something wet and warm then falls down their forehead, it was the wet towel Chance had put there when they were burning up. Two time puts it down onto their bedside table then snuggles back into their bed, not wanting to leave the comfort and warmth of it. Two time tried their best to make the smallest movement as possible and as quiet to possible as well. But not to their surprise, they have accidentally woken up Elliot.

“Two time! You woken up! Are you feeling any better?” Elliot immediately asks Two time the moment he awoken fully. He lifts up his to check Two time’s temperature and made a small sigh as Two time’s temperature is back to normal and fever reduced and gone.

“Elliot my dear! I’m feeling just alright! Thank you for asking! May the spawn bless you!” Two time says replying to Elliot’s question. But it seems like they have been a bit too loud as Chance stirred a bit then raised his head up just to immediately let them fall again from exhaustion. Which did make him earn some giggles from Two time and Elliot.

“I am blessed by the spawn to have you two,” Two time says gently, then letting his body fall flat onto the bed. “And I must have hit the biggest jackpot in the world and the luckiest man to have the both of you” Chance murmurs out still half asleep. “Wha- what am I supposed to say then!” Elliot says pouting at the fact he can’t produce something super creative for complimenting his lovers.

“Don’t worry my sun, you being with me is already like being in heaven” Chance says lifting his head up and turning to look at Elliot. “Yeah, never thought we would even have a chance to be with you” Two time quickly follows up with a huge grin that kinda looks like the ones he had when stabbing killers.

“Y-you guys!” Elliot shouts out being very flustered and embarrassed by his lovers words. “Love ya too my sweet sun” Chance says to Elliot with his signature smug smile. “I love you more then chance do!” Two time quickly resorts back. Earning a giggle from Elliot as Chance and Two times starts fighting over who loves Elliot more.

Chapter Text

It was around 9:15am when the bell rang, telling students to go to the assembly hall for morning announcements and changes made to classrooms due to the renovation in the south-east hall of the school. Two time, who is almost late to assembly, quickly drops off their bag in their locker and dashes to the assembly hall.

 

“Good morning, Students and Teachers, welcome to the assembly. The only changes that will be made for classroom changes are chemistry class 7, your classroom will be allocated at room B522. And as for our announcement, we are having our yearly prom at 6:30pm this Friday in the school gym. There will be partner dances, if you wish, you may partner up with someone for this.” The principal, 007n7(yes it’s the old man cause I said so) says to the school.

After the prom night was announced, students practically jumped up from excitement.

 

“What do you think this year's theme is!?”

“Bro, do you think Jane will accept when I ask her out?”

“I bet $100 that Chance is gonna show up in designers again this year”

 

Many whispers and mumbles can be heard across the hall, some yelling can also be heard coming from the popular kids of the school.

 

A cough was heard across the room from the principal, making all students look up and quiet down. “Alright quiet down students, it’s time to announce the theme of prom night for this year, who’s excited?” Cheers erupted from students and show enthusiasm, and some stayed quiet. 007n7 tapped the mic to silence the students as the cheers were going over. “This year's prom night theme will be…. ‘Light in the dark’! Please give a special thanks to the student representative council for coming up with this idea!” 007n7 claps and the students followed along.

 

The assembly soon ended after the announcement of prom night; student went to their lockers to grab their stationaries and books for first and second classes of the day. While Two time was walking ti class, they could see people already planning their outfits and who they are going to go with, while Two time is just… alone and left out like always for being ‘The weird kid’ in school. But honestly? They couldn’t careless, not having to deal with basic human relationships was the best thing for them.

Okay maybe they did want to be in a relationship… but only with one student in their year, Elliot Builder. He was kind, okay maybe has a bit of anger issue but Elliot was everything Two time can ask for. They will ask Elliot out for prom and ask them on a date!! A perfect plan!!

 

 

 

“Elliot! Do you hav-“ Two time said before getting interrupted by another student.

“Elliot, the teacher needs you in the science lab.” Noob said as they give a folder full of study materials to Elliot before running off.

 

“Sorry Two time, tell me what you need to say in another time!” Elliot says walking to the staircase to go to the science labs.

 

Two time watches as Elliot walks up the stairs sighing as their first attempt of trying to ask Elliot fails miserably. Well, maybe second try is the charm! Two time thought to themselves. Oh how wrong they were…

 

 

“Elliot- “

 

“Sorry! Not right now!”

 

“El-“

 

“Busy!!”

 

 

 

“Why is Elliot so busy!!” Two time said to themselves as if they would get a answer, they have attempted to ask Elliot out who knows how many times! Everytime they tried to ask, they would either get interrupted or Elliot would be busy, its as if Telamon is trying to stop him from asking Elliot out!!

 

“ughhh” Two time groans just from thinking the amount of time they have been rejected, maybe Elliot and them weren’t meant to be…

 

No, its not time to give up yet, there is still 1 more week until prom night, they still have a chance(chance mentioned), they can still ask Elliot out and have their dream come true. Mission ask Elliot out, restart!

 

 

 

 

It was around 3 in the afternoon when Two time found Elliot unbothered in the library, reading a science fiction book. This is Two time’s chance to ask Elliot out, no, this is the BEST chance to ask Elliot out.

 

“Elliot, can I ask you something?” Two time says in a quiet tone as this is the library after all.

 

“Ah Two time, what is it that you need?” Elliot replies in a kindly manner, looking up from the science fiction book he is reading.

 

“Can you please go out with me for prom!!” Two time whisper shouted to Elliot, a light shade out gray crept onto their cheeks.

 

There, they asked Elliot out, they asked their crush out, holy Telamon. They did it. They asked Elliot out…

 

“H-huh?!”

  Elliot was shocked, shocked that his life long crush asked them out for prom, holy Telamon, is he dreaming?? *insert Elliot pinching himself on their forearm* Okay. Yep this isn’t a dream, this is real. HOLY SHIT HIS CRUSH ASKED HIM OUT FOR PROM!!!!

“Elliot..?” Two time whispers to Elliot waving his hand in front of his face as Elliot went into a daze after Two time asked Elliot out.

“T-two time, are you being for real or are you joking with me..?” Elliot says after snapping out of his daze

“I’m being for real Elliot, no, let me rephrase that, Elliot, would you like to go out on a date with me and be a prom night partner?” Two time says to Elliot rephrasing their sentence.

“…”

“Elliot..?”
“Yes!” Elliot shouts out from excitement from being asked out by HIS crush that he has been pinning over since the start of freshman year. Sure, he got some stare from people reading in the library but eh, he just got asked out by his crush!!

“So does that mean we are… you know..” Two time asks Elliot seeing if they actually got his crush dating them if they did, he will for sure show off to Azure!

 

“Yes, yes we are!” Elliot whisper yells to Two time eyes sparkling in excitement of being asked out by their crush.

 

“I- Then can I kiss you?” Two time spits out bluntly short circuiting trying to process that their crush and them is officially a couple.

 

A light orange creeps up Elliot’s cheek from Two time being so bold and blunt, but hey, he isn’t missing out on a kiss from his crush. Elliot cups Two times face and gives Two time a light peck on the lips, both are now a blushing mess.

 

*insert the sound of books dropping*

“get a room you two.” Azure says getting second hand embarrassment from his best friend being lovey dovey in public space.
