Chapter Text
Bakugo realized he wasn't interested in girls at a young age and that's how it happened, first he realized he likes his childhood best friend Izuku that passed quickly since then, he and Izuku are like brothers. So it was pretty normal that you could see the boys over at each other's homes more often than being at their own homes. Izuku really liked it at the Bakugo's since his mother most days would come home very late into the night and some days wouldn't even come home at all, he also liked at at the Bakugo's because they always had food in the house and wouldn't make Izuku feel guilty for eating it with Katsuki, but he also didn't appreciate how Kacchan's mom insulted him when she was home or wasn't drunk.
Katsuki often stayed at the Midoriyas , sure auntie Inko was never home and they mostly never had food home but at least it was better then the screaming matches at home just because his mother Mitsuki didn't accept him, his father Masaru did, he would stay up with him after the worst of the yelling has ended but he never spoke up to his mother. Katsuki just found it easier to go to Izukus after school, they usually stopped for food after school Katsuki and Izuku would usually split one portion and also who would pay, it usually was Katsuki who payed since his dad would slip him few yen every time he could, unlike auntie Inko.
The duo was on their way from school to the mall for their part time job at this sweet small ice cream shop because how their home lives were going you never know if you're gonna have a roof over your head to sleep in or if there will be food in the fridge. The job didn't pay much but with two paychecks combined it was decent, plus the bonus was that they could get a discount. Both boys would usually sneak free ice cream if no one was looking. So that's where they were headed, they could hear some commotion ahead but both boys didn't pay much attention to it, Izuku was talking a mile a minute about the newest movie in theatres but Katsuki was just half heartedly listening to the boy next to him.

Kirishima adjusted the strap of his backpack as Denki was telling one of his dumb jokes that made the whole group burst out in laughter. On his right was Mina and Sero, she was teasing him about his newest art project, but he didn't seem to mind and actually liked art for some reason Kirishima couldn't figure out, he was more into sports. And on his right was his old buddy Denki, man does they get each other. Jirou was missing since she and her girlfriend were visiting her parents. Jirou was never declared a part of the group but she came and she went and all of them didn't mind. Mina was happy she had a girl in the group and the others were happy to listen to her playlist because Jirou had amazing playlists.
Then all of his daydreaming was ruined by off placed tile slightly sticking out and kirishima only heard someone yell 'Watch out dude!" But that was too late, he already tripped and his ice cream went with him and the next thing he knew was that he hid something, maybe a wall? Wait no that's a human person. He could feel something against his cheek and it was soaking into the stranger's shirt, the shirt that looked like it was new...
"W-WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!" ... Yep kirishima is going to die, tell his moms that he loved them. Kirishima zoned out slightly as the stranger kept yelling at him.
The guy now was glaring at him with the force of a hundred suns. Kirishima immediately backed away with his hand in the air like the criminal he is. "D-Dude.. i-im so sorry I didn't mean t-to ruin your shirt! I-I swear! I'll repay you-" The angry stranger cut him off, quite rudely if Kirishima may add he is just trying to help
"Stop. Just stop" the stranger paused for a bit probably to take a breath "it's fine, just leave it be" to be honest kirishima was surprised he wasn't yelled at again but he will take what he can get so he bowed and the blonde angry stranger took his green friend and basically dragged him past Kirishima and all of his friends, the green dude shoot Kirishima and apologetic look and let himself be dragged away into some ice cream shop? Kirishima wasn't even sure right now

Izuku was actually having fun with Katsuki for once, he and his childhood friend were heading to their part time job. He was looking around excitedly chatting to Katsuki about the new movie in theatres but that fun was all ruined when a red haired stranger face planted into Kacchan smearing his ice cream into Kacchan's new shirt, the shirts that he for Kacchan for his birthday few days ago and now.. the t-shirt is probably going to have to be thrown away now, which sucks but he can save up or maybe ask his dad if he could send him some money? Yeah that sounds like a good plan.
Izuku could see how tense his friend got and started yelling at that poor stranger, although Izuku thinks his reaction is completely valid. Katsuki then takes his wrist and starts dragging Izuku away and he shoots the red haired stranger apologetic looks and lets himself we dragged away, where he doesn't know come on it's Kacchan, he is mostly unpredictable though so Izuku isn't really sure where they are going. After a few seconds he can feel Katsuki push open a door and the door bell rings and if it isn't the 'Icy Cone' he is a dog. Katsuki then lets go of his wrist and abruptly changes into the staff changing rooms while Izuku is slowly walking behind him.
A few minutes pass and they both emerge from the staff room, both of them in the uniform and with the apron around their waists. Let's say that Katsuki was very happy to put on a clean shirt. Katsuki was pissed at that dude but yelling would do nothing to fix it and Izuku would probably give him the glare for yelling again, he would always do that.

Their shift was rather boring but then Miss Hiroyama came, she was their kindergarten teacher, she was so kind and both of them adore her. "Ah! Hello Miss Hiroyama, what would you like?" Izuku asked and then they just started talking about everything, Miss Hiroyama was still so kind as they both remember. Izuku did most of the talking but Katsuki pitched in a few times as well, in the end miss They shift was rather boring but then miss Hiroyama gave both of them a hug and left with a wave and promised to come by sooner.
Their shift was rather boring after that but somehow 10 minutes before closing, they really shouldn't have expected to get off early, the red-haired guy and his group came through the door and Katsuki let out a very long grunt "good afternoon, what can I get you?" Izuku asked after a few seconds of the group looking at the flavours and talking between themselves about what to get. They all came one by one and ordered while Izuku scooped the ice cream into the paper bowls Katsuki was giving them back their change. The red headed dude went last and when Katsuki was giving him his change.
"Hey man.. I'm really sorry again, I really didn't mean to.. Let me repay you and let me get you a new shirt" the still stranger proposed to Katsuki and Izuku knew he would decline so that's why he did what he did "Kacchan would like that! Give him a few moments and he will be right there!" He said with his sunshine smile while dragging Katsuki to the changing room and as he said in a few moments he was right there in Izuku's shirt because he refused to wear his ice cream one, so the shirt was slightly tight on Katsuki but he didn't mind too much because he's gonna get a new one. Off the both of them went and Izuku was left with the rest of the group, he was just slightly uncomfortable but they seemed nice so no need to overthink it, yet he still did.

With Katsuki and kirishima it wasn't much different, kirishima did most of the talking apologising 80% of the time, although his eyes would from time to time drop down onto his chest and that God awful 't-shirt' shirt and showed off his abs, god what is he thinking he just met this guy. Him and the gorgeous stranger went into the first clothing shop they saw and when they walked into the store Kirishima realised that he never got the name for this handsome stranger "Hey um... I never caught your name haha..."said a very awkward Kirishima and Katsuki just stared at him for a few moments "oh yeah.. uh ... Katsuki Bakugo."
"That's a cool name dude, I'm Kirishima Eijiro" added Kirishima. While they were talking they both made their way to the shirt session and bakugo went toward the cheapest shirt that didn't look like dog shit in his opinion "this shirt will do" Katsuki said and kirishima grabbed the shirt off the hanger before questioning the blonde "don't you wanna try it out Bakugo?" And Katsuki scoffed at him "yeah.. alright, come on Kirishima"

Izuku had to say that the red heads group is actually nice. They had included him in their conversation after they all introduced themselves to one another, Izuku didn't add much into their conversation but when questioned he said his fair share. The group was talking about what high schools they want to apply to next year. Apparently Sero, the black-hair with a yellow beanie, wanted to go to an art school which Izuku found amazing. He himself didn't have much artistic talent but he always admired anyone who could create.
Denki, yellow haired one with an awful t-shirt. It had one of the alpha wolf shirt or whatever it is called. Izuku didn't know, he wanted to do something with literature but he still didn't know yet. And that discussion continued until Kacchan and the red head came back with boba teas. Katsuki's had a brownish color which he assumed was the coffee milk tea and in his other hand was a lychee one and before Izuku could say anything the blonde shoved the drink into his hands with a grunt that sounded similar to “Dont you even dare..” Kirishima was sipping a pink one, probably something strawberry. When both of them entered the now closed off shop the ring of the bell signaling their arrival the conversation stopped and after a few seconds the conversation resumed back.
"Hey nerd." Kacchan nudged him while he started sipping into the lychee drink. "Yeah Kacchan..?" Izuku replied, mouth full of the boba and the lychee jelly. "Go change, so we can close up and leave" Izuku nodded munching on the jelly, putting the drink on the counter and went to change "Yo fuckers, me and Izuku need to close so maybe move it outside me and the nerd will join you after closing." Katsuki said with the hint that anger was gone then before he was yelling at Kirishima when his face planted into him, but still the group nodded and slowly began moving out, waiting before the ice cream shop. After a few seconds Izuku came back glaring at Katsuki, as much as he could glare at his brother. "Give me my shirt back." And Kacchan fucking laugh at him

Mina wasn’t at first sure about the new duo but after practically questioning the green haired one, she figured out that he was harmless but the angry chihuahua was another thing, but Izuku was persistent that 'Kacchan' apparently was really nice. Her group made sure to include him into their conversation, the boy was actually nice but didn't speak up much on his own. While the group probably talked enough for him, he just listened while he was cleaning something behind the counter.
After a few minutes the duo emerged from the ice cream shop and Izuku locked the door behind him.. Wait.. is he wearing the shirt the 'Kacchan' dude went to buy the shirt with Eijiro, but on him it was too tight so it's probably Izukus since his shirt was ruined... Yeah that makes sense.

They talked until they reached the exit and the group and duo split up, Izuku giving them a small wave with a promise to meet sometime soon. After they split up, Katsuki told Izuku that he got the red heads, apparently Kirishima's number.
They walked together as Katsuki talked about what happened with kirishima, it was a pretty normal scenario between them two. Katsuki did most of the talking if the topic wasn't one of Izuku's hyper fixation, if that was the case izuku would be talking for literal hours.
They talked until they rounded the corner next to Izuku's apartment and Izuku sighed and gave Katsuki a hug which Katsuki wasn't happy about but he knew better. He gave him one last squeeze and went up the stairs to his apartment.

The next day Katsuki woke up in his messy room, that he didn't bother cleaning up yesterday, since he came home late to find his mother passed out drunk on the couch and he didn't want to be yelled at by waking her up because of the noise so he just changed into his pyjamas and fell asleep.
Today was Saturday so when he finally made his way to the kitchen his father was gone and his mother wasn't on the couch anymore. He made his way behind the kitchen island and began making his breakfast, despite Izuku telling everyone he's an amazing cook, he's not. Izuku was just never taught how to cook, because his mother is an ass in Katsuki’s opinion. He used to have his mom teach him when he was younger before she found out. Now whenever he wants to learn something he needs to find recipes on his own or find tutorials on it.
Today he and Izuku planned to study at Izuku's since there would be no one to bother since Inko rarely shows up anymore but bills for the house are paid for. They plan to study for their upcoming tests, which is a lot since it's the end of the year and the teachers just realised that they don't have enough grades.
After eating his breakfast he cleaned after him and went to his room. He put on some baggy jeans and a mcr shirt and he headed off to Izuku's apartment, this time not forgetting to take his keys this time and locking the house, both boys had keys to each other's homes in case of emergencies and just because they spent so much over.
When he arrived he rang the doorbell twice really fast. That was their code, then he unlocks the door and greets Izuku who is sitting on the couch and he waves to Katsuki. Said boy plops down onto the couch next to Izuku "Yo Izuku, do you remember the red-head and his group?" He asks his basically brother now. Izuku nodded "Yeah, what's up with them?" He asks, tilting his head slightly.
"Well we got each other's numbers because he was.. nice and not very annoying, so he asked me yesterday if I wanted to hang out with them tomorrow and I wanted to ask you if you wanna come with me, I'm not going alone with those extras."
Izuku stared at him processing the words, it wasn't that he didn't want to, he just doesn't trust new people, but they seemed harmless so after a while he agreed and not long after that the two boys went to Izuku's room to study.
They studied till 6pm then they decided that it was time to stop, they studied everything they needed so the two boys said their goodbyes and Katsuki went home with a promise to give Izuku the info as soon as he knew it.
So at around 8pm Izuku got a text from Katsuki with all the info and that he will pick him up and before the hang out they would go out for a small breakfast, since he knew Inko didn't buy groceries yet.
The next day Katsuki did as promised, he showed an hour earlier they are supposed to meet with the rest. They went for breakfast near the meet up spot.
“Izuku you have been staring at the menu for the past five minutes, everything alright nerd?” Katsuki asked the slightest drop of worry slipping through his thick facade. Izuku jumped slightly, blinking at the laminated menu in his hands “oh.. uh I-i just dont know if i should get the waffles or ….” his eyes zoomed over the prices “never mind.. I’ll get the waffle”
After ordering which katsuki did for the both of them, they were waiting for their which was filled with Izuku talking about everything on his mind and Katsuki occasionally chipping in to tell his side of whatever Izuku was talking about. They finally got their food. Izuku got a waffle with honey and blueberries and Katsuki got a chocolate croissant.
When they finished eating they had about 20 minutes left till they were supposed to meet up with the group so they decided to just go to the meet up spot and wait there. After a while they heard Mina and Sero chatting and making their way towards them. Immediately when Mina spotted them she began waving at them and Sero gave a small wave as well. They came over and Mina sat next to Katsuki. After what felt like forever Denki and Kirishima finally entered the mall and Mina when she saw them ran over to hug them, in Katsuki’s opinion she was acting like she hadn't seen them in ages. When the boys plus Mina finally made it to the bench the rest were sitting at the boys and greeted everyone and after that slowly but surely the group.
