Guaritrian Species
Guaritrians are a species of humanoids with patterned arms and legs. They were otherwise similar to humans, so much so that they could mate with humans without any problems. However, despite these similarities on the outside, a Guaritrian's anatomy is very different on the inside. To name a few differences: their blood is a dark blue color, their heart is where a human's kidney would be, they have sensitive senses, an efficient respiratory system, they could survive without sleep for weeks and had a lifespan of 200 years or more. On the outside, the patterns on Guaritrians cover their entire arms and legs, with the patterns on the arms going as far down as their hands in a finger glove like way [a/n: for easier visual context]. The patterns on a Guaritrian are unique to every person, especially the ones that trail down to their hands. The Guaritrians live on the planet Guariti, which is perpetually hidden by gaseous nebula, with Guaritrians rarely leaving. Guariti is also hospitable to humans.
Guaritrians are also known for being empaths and telepaths, along with being able to heal people on occasions. They are highly desired by pirates and black market dealers [a/n: sorta like twi'leks from star wars] for their blood, as it can heal almost any known species in the galaxy of any known illness. This is the reason Guaritrians rarely leave their home planet. Partly from being rarely off their planet, Guaritrians are very technologically advanced. Due to their empathic abilities, Guaritrians greatly value emotions and embrace them, and due to that, they rarely get along with Vulcans due to their different idelogies. While there has never been an all out war between the Guaritrians and the Vulcans, they still consider each other enemies. While Guaritrians are telepaths, they rarely choose to use their telepathy, even though they don't need to touch to initiate their telepathy. They can also heal beings on occasions, although they only usually use their healing in life threatening situations.
