Sham walked through the halls of the school, it felt endless, like the corridors would never end, until - he spotted Yam.

He hesitated for a moment, debating whether he should confess to his crush, as the cynical side of him screamed to go and confess his love to her.

He stood there for a few moments, until he walked up to the girl, and tapped her shoulder, as Yam turned on her heel to face him, "Sham?" She mumbled, her gaze locking onto his.

Sham rubbed the back of his neck hesitantly, chills forming onto his palm as he fought the urge to murmur the words he so meekly kept behind the walls he built up.

"Yam.. I.. need to confess something," He admitted softly, his tone smoother than usual, and wavering too.

Yam raised her eyebrow, her eyelashes fluttering, "Sure, go on.." She encouraged, her fingers absently tracing the fabric of her backpack.

Sham internally took a deep breath, "I.. I've had a crush on you, for a while now." He finally admitted, his eyes roaming around anywhere but at the bewildered girl.

Yams eyebrows shot up in surprise, but she didn't seem..excited? "Oh..?" She mumbled, as if unable to process the confess.

Sham felt a light blush creep up his cheeks, highlighting his anxious expression, "I.. I'm sorry Sham, but I dont feel the same way." Yam firmly admitted, as she grasped onto the strap of her backpack, seemingly about to leave.

Sham felt his throat clench, she...? Didn't...? He felt like his whole heart shattered and clenched, as if an hand held it.

"You...? What...? I.." He stammered, the previous blush abruptly fading off from his cheeks.

Yam looked back on her shoulder, "Let's talk about it later," She informed, before walking off, leaving the boy puzzled and broken.

Sham couldn't believe it at all, this was a new experience for him, he confessed his raw - honest love to Yam, yet she...?

He felt a mix of emotions - humiliation, confused, and done. Done with everything maybe.

He stared at her reflection, that seemed to slowly fade off and minimise.

How would he even move on from this?

Or would he even move?
