Chosen didn't stop, fighting against the giant hand from where it'd plucked him from the water, kept struggling as the human brought him in close, staring at him, closed his eyes and flinched away as they brought their other hand up-
Everything seemed to freeze as they ran their finger down the back of his head. And again. Gently petting him, hardly making contact at all as the grip of their other hand loosened, becoming more cradling than confining.
It... it felt nice. Nicer than anything Chosen had felt in a while.
Chosen glanced over the edge of their hand; far too high to get down safely, especially without his powers. May as well get comfortable, then. With that, Chosen let out a barely audible sigh, leaning back just the slightest as he closed his eyes again, letting his heartbeat match the slow, booming pace of the giant above.
