James Potter knew he wasn’t a good person.
He had many things to prove that he had made very bad choices throughout his life. Ten, to be exact.
For one, getting his best friend pregnant when they were both only sixteen. Second, thinking it was a good idea to marry his said best friend at eighteen.
Third, for getting addicted to coke when he was nineteen.
Forth, that being the reason his wife left him.
Fifth, showing up to work high and and getting fired.
Sixth, deciding that dealing drugs would be a good way to make an income so he could pay child support.
Seventh, getting caught in a traffic stop with multiple illegal drugs in his car.
Eight, for being stuck in prison while his son had to deal with the death of his mother alone.
Ninth, realizing that his son would not be placed in Sirius’s care because James had hid some of his drugs at his place.
Tenth, knowing it was his fault his son had been abused for ten years.
