Work Text:

The closet was cramped inside, incredibly so that there was little space in-between them. Kinich couldn't even stretch his legs as it would poke the magician's personal space, so he pulled his knees to himself, back against his own corner. He tapped his gloved hand against his knee, avoiding Lyney's gaze; it would only drive him further to insanity after being trapped inside a small space with his crush.

Sometimes, when Kinich would move his eyes back in front of him, he would catch a glance of the Fontainian. His legs were crossed, cheek propped up with his palm and a smirk plastered on his face. The Natlanese was thankful the only source of light inside was a thin ray from the hotel room and the faint glow of their vision as it would only strip his dignity with how red his face was. Kinich's face was warm. His hand covered his mouth as he tried not to imagine multiple scenarios that could possibly happen inside. He tried not to think how the magician's thighs were exposed, the straps of his clothing tight around his skin—just looking at it, he wondered how soft it would feel.

Lyney simply watched Kinich, amused by how flustered he was by all of this. When they first met, the Natlanese was a quiet figure, always standing at the back of the crowd. He only saw him talk comfortably to Mualani— the cheerful girl from the People of the Springs— along with Kachina— a kid from the Children of the Echoes. Of course, there was the mysterious floating pixel dragon— Ajaw— who claimed to be a god. In all honesty, the Fontanian had doubts about it considering how he acted, but he won't question the creature. They seemed to be closely knitted; Mualani always pushed Kinich outside of his comfort zone (the reason why he was here in the first place), while Kachina was there to bring a smile to his face.

Speaking of, the magician sent the girl a silent thanks in his mind for getting them in this situation. Just watching the supposed stoic saurian hunter in front of him now with a flushed face and a nervous gaze made his ego soar. At the same time, it made the magician's heart skip a beat. Kinich could possibly reciprocate Lyney's interest, and this closet was going to bring them closer— hopefully, he thought.

A minute passed by, and the tension grew increasingly thick each time the seconds ticked.

"Hm, you really are quiet, aren't you?" Lyney started, tilting his head further to the side. Might as well get to know each other, considering there were six minutes left.

Kinich moved his gaze to Lyney, and blinked. "I just don't have anything to talk about." His voice was quiet, fingers still quickly tapping on his knee. This was their second conversation alone— or the first, if introducing yourself wasn't considered one.

Lyney moved forward, now close enough for both of their boots to touch. "How about I start then? Let me ask you something." He leaned in and curved his hand near his mouth, as if he was about to tell a secret.

"See, you're not as subtle as you think," Lyney said. He then leaned back, and traced circles on Kinich's boot. "I could feel your eyes on me every time."

The Natlanese felt his face heat up even more, from the tip of his ears down to his neck. He looked away quickly, his hands gripped on his pants. "I didn't mean to stare. It's just that," he took the courage he had and looked at Lyney, "I haven't seen someone from the Fatui like you."

It wasn't entirely a lie. The first time Kinich saw Lyney was at the Stadium of the Sacred Flames performing magic tricks for everyone to see. He saw how passionate he was, from doing simple card tricks in the beginning to dancing with flames towards the end. It was mesmerizing to watch the magician. The way his hands were nimble and careful with each trick, his charm oozing out with every word that fell out of his lips— something inside Kinich was getting pulled, drawn towards him. Hypnotized, was what he was.

"Well, you could say I'm more alluring than them, don't you agree?" Lyney let out a giggle, seeing that the man in front pushed himself further into the closet's wall. He tried to think of an answer, but all he could do was swallow the words stuck inside his throat.

"Judging from your reaction, you think so, too." The magician uncrossed his legs and stood on his knees, now towering over the hunter.

Kinich could feel his heart beat fast when Lyney reached to put a strand of hair behind his ear, revealing his piercings. His hands gripped harder on any fabric it could grasp, and sweat started to form on his back. "Perhaps that's why you're interested in me?"

His whole mind went blank upon hearing those words. Kinich had never been the one to act on his romantic or even sexual desires, let alone have any. The last person he ever had feelings for, or at least was interested in was someone who had consistently pursued to be his friend— Mualani. Although, he never planned on asking her out; he preferred not to rock the boat, satisfied with the status quo.

However, this feeling inside him right now was different from what he felt before. It wasn't that Kinich didn't like Lyney— no, he still had a crush on him, no doubt— but the steady spark inside him had burned brighter and bigger. For the first time in forever, he had the urge, the absolute need to kiss the man in front of him.

His chest was pounding fast, but he swallowed his doubts. Before Kinich could talk himself out of it, he squeezed his eyes shut, grabbed Lyney's scarf and crashed their lips together. The magician let out a muffled gasp, before quickly recovering after realizing what was happening— Kinich was kissing him. Lyney immediately melted into it, fluttering his eyes close. He cupped the other man's cheek, enjoying the warm sensation radiating off his chest. The hunter's lips were rough against the magician's smooth ones, smothered with lip balm, but he didn't care when he was here tasting him, holding him.

Just as he was about to deepen the kiss, the hunter ripped himself out of it, his eyes wide open and brows furrowed.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to kiss you—"

Lyney let out a quiet huff, amused by the complete 180 of his demeanor from this calm character to a flustered mess. He leaned in closer once again, making Kinich stop his rambling. They stared into each other's eyes, from the kaleidescope of colors to the simple pale purple, both were filled with desire and curiosity to know what will happen next.

The magician kissed the hunter, and this time, it was slow, both savouring the moment. He opened his mouth then tilted his head to the side to deepen the kiss, nipping on the other man's bottom lip. It earned Lyney a quiet whimper from Kinich, whose hands were on his back before settling down on his waist, pulling him closer. The hunter slid his legs down, just enough for the magician to straddle his lap, pinning him in place with his knees.

Their breaths were hot and mingling with each other, making the whole closet warm inside. There were quiet inhales and exhales in between the kisses to catch air, but they weren't stopping, only getting more desperate with each second passing. Their front teeth clashed each time they met, and their lips started to bruise. Lyney, whose cape was now pulled to the side, had his fingers buried deep on dark blue locks; Kinich on the other hand, with his bandana off centered, was slowly inching his thumb underneath the magician's stockings, feeling the soft skin beneath.

Kinich pulled out of the kiss once again, his whole face hot and flushed while his chest rose up and down. He looked at the Fontainian now on his lap, face pink from the heat and his eyes half-lidded. The sight made the hunter yearn for more sights of Lyney on top of him with his face flushed and hair mused. Now, it made his skin tingle with a different kind of desire.

The hunter tried to think. He could end it now— he had his kiss, more than that, even. He got to hold the magician, feel the slim of his waist and the softness of his skin, but just getting a taste wasn't enough. Kinich needed to devour him, dig his teeth deep into the tender skin, savour each bite and enjoy the flavour. He wanted more— and so, for the first time in his life, he took the chance.

Kinich pulled Lyney close until their mouths met for the hundredth time this night, both chest-to-chest. The magician didn't back off either, one hand gripping tighter on the hunter's hair while the other one removed the bracelets dangling off his wrists, leaving them on the floor. After that, Lyney let his hand slide up Kinich's arm before going down to his torso, stopping where his top ends. Carefully, he slipped underneath the fabric, feeling the warmth of the hunter's skin.

The Natlanese inhaled sharply, feeling the fabric of the Fontainian's glove against his skin. In return, he took this chance as an opportunity to lower his hands from his waist to his hips, down to his rear. Suddenly, he squeezed the muscle through the fabric of his clothes, making the magician gasp in surprise.

Lyney took this as a sign, and with a smirk, began to slowly move his hips forwards, then backwards. It felt a bit uncomfortable knowing that his growing erection was getting constricted by the tight latex of his outfit. Despite that, the pressure he felt was bringing pleasure as well, so he wasn't complaining.

He moved his lips from the hunter's mouth to his neck, biting on the flesh. His lips also started to suck on it, just enough for it to leave faint red marks for later. The hunter moved his head to the side to expose more of his neck for the magician to leave signs of what was happening inside the closet for everyone to see.

Kinich groaned from the friction of the magician's movement, and from his teeth leaving trails of lovebites across his jaw, down to his throat and collarbones. The Fontainian continued to leave hickeys everywhere, biting hard before lightly pressing his lips on top of the bruise. Kinich sucked his breath from the spikes of pain, inhaling the scent of Lyney's sweet perfume and shampoo mixing in together with their sweat.

The hunter felt the Fontainian's hand withdraw from underneath his shirt to unbuckle the belts he had. Desperation and the thought of getting to touch Kinich had given Lyney the focus to quickly undo them, even leaving them still on the belt loops before pushing down the rest of his jumpsuit past his hips. Without the thicker fabric, the tent on the hunter's pants was more visible, and with that, the magician continued to rock his hips.

"Ah—!" Kinich hunched his shoulders as pleasure surged his body. Now that there was only the thin fabric in-between them, the contact from both of them felt smoother and closer to both of their skin touching. His hands moved back to the magician's hips and gripped it tight, guiding his movements to go faster.

Lyney followed enthusiastically, chuckling at the hunter's stuttering breath and half-lidded eyes. His cock twitched at the sight of pleasure molding his face, and he had to bite his inner cheek to stop himself from letting out a mewl. A string of quiet moans and whines left Kinich's lips, and it only encouraged the magician to continue moving, and caressing his skin.

The hunter moved his hands on the other man's neck to remove his cape attached to his scarf, leaving it to drop on the floor to join his bracelets. Without the extra layer of clothing, it exposed Lyney's shoulders, revealing moles dotted around. Kinich then buried his face on the crook of the magician's neck and kissed each mark gingerly to test the waters. The Fontainian's skin was smooth against his chapped lips, and softer when he decided to bite it, drawing a gasp from him. The Natlanese moved to each side of his shoulder to leave bite marks and hickeys, each one exciting him as soon as they formed.

Lyney put his arm behind him, resting one on the other man's thigh, while his other arm held his shoulder. He then rolled his hips, earning him a deep bite mark on his skin and a choked moan from Kinich. The magician did it once more, alternating between grinding forward and backward to doing it in circles. Both of their chests were heaving quickly, and Lyney couldn't stop himself from letting out moans and hums as ecstasy started to drip from him.

"Lyney, please," the hunter breathed out, looking up with desperate eyes and brows scrunched.

He pulled on Kinich's hair and forced him to look up to him directly, making him groan. "Yes, mon chéri?" he teased, slowing down his movements.

Kinich whimpered from the loss of friction, moving his hips to make up for the lack of it. "I need more, please—" His head lolled as another moan left his lips, biting his bottom lip to stop himself from being too loud. His hands stayed frozen on the magician's waist, grasping it tight.

Just the sight of the hunter like this, begging and rutting just to feel Lyney's touch and to pleasure himself was doing something to his brain— and his dick apparently. The magician stopped moving entirely, quickly kissing him before a whine could leave his throat. He moved his hand up from Kinich's thigh until he landed on top of his erection. He cupped it, and the hunter tried to suppress the sound of pleasure that was about to escape him.

"Tell me what you need, sunshine," the magician whispered as he continued to palm the hunter's cock through his pants.

Kinich grunted, panting from the need to free himself from the constraints of his clothing. "That, keep doing that."

He guided the Fontainian's hands to the zipper of his pants. "I need you to touch me, please I'll do anything in return just—"

Lyney brought his index finger to Kinich's mouth to shush him, and he followed suit. He dragged his finger to his chin, tracing the tattoo on his neck down to his chest. "Since you've been good all evening, I suppose I can give you what you want."

Kinich let out a sigh of relief, knowing that all the pleasure built up and bottled inside him will be released soon. He watched as the magician slowly undid his zipper, and all he could do was to wait patiently, but it was hard when all that flooded his head were more ways they could go further. He wondered if Lyney was into—

"And seven minutes is up—!"

The closet door swung open and the duo whipped their heads towards the direction of the voice, the light from outside flooding the closet's interior. It put a spotlight on the two, as if they were actors on stage in the middle of a scene— and in a way they were. Lyney still straddled Kinich's lap while his hands were still in between his legs, covering his arousal; to which the hunter was thankful for, because he doesn't think this situation could get any worse.

"Mualani," the magician managed to croak out, still rendered motionless from the shock of getting caught.

There, Mualani stood frozen, mouth still at the shape of the word she was about to say before seeing the sight in front of her. She blinked, then blinked again at the two people in front of her.

Kinich felt his stomach flip upside down, and all the fantasies that fogged his mind had been wiped clear. His face progressively became scarlet and hotter than magma as his friend stared at them more. White, scalding humiliation flooded his whole body, and all he could do was to gape his mouth open, rushing to think of what to say, but nothing came out.

"I'll just—" Mualani squinted her eyes while looking away, pointing her thumb at her back, "—I'll just leave you guys behind alright? Enjoy!"

Before any of the two could say anything, the door was slammed shut once more. The tension in the room had been sliced in half, lust dissipated in thin air. The darkness hid the shame etched on Kinich's face and the red of Lyney's cheeks. They sat there for a second, silence overtaking the atmosphere and none of them were willing to meet each other's gaze.

The hunter took a deep breath before exhaling through his mouth. "We should head out now." His demeanor returned to his usual calm and collected one, although there was a crack now.

"We should," the magician responded back, but the confidence in his voice flickered low as he said the words.

He stood up and grabbed the scarf attached to his cape, clasping it back again around his neck, while the Natlanese pulled his pants up and buckled back his belts, putting his bracelets around his wrists. The clicks and the shuffling of clothes made up for the growing tension, now not made up of desire but of awkwardness.

The hunter pushed the door open, the hinges creaking. He got out first before the magician, his gaze lingering inside before closing it once he also got out.

The walk to the next room was still silent, the sound of heels clicking on marble echoed through the hall. The rumbling of chattering greeted the duo, but as they came inside, it slowly subsided and turned to murmurs. It wasn't until Mualani smirked, struggling to contain her giggles, that Xilonen let out a chortle.

"So, how was inside the closet? Bet it was fun, huh?" She brought the back of her hand to cover her snickering, motioning her finger at their necks.

Kinich swiftly pulled the zipper up his collar until the end, while Lyney adjusted his scarf just enough to cover some of the marks, both looking in the opposite direction with their cheeks warm. The hunter sat down next to Mualani, while the magician sat across him, as it was their original position when they started the game.

"None of your business." He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes, although his cheeks remained dusted pink.

Xilonen simply laughed, and everything after that was back to the way it was before. Except this time, every time Kinich looked at Lyney, he would catch him staring, only for him to pull away the second their eyes meet. He would act normal, laughing and chatting with the others as the next rounds of people went to the closet. Mualani and Chasca came out with their hair messy and faces aglow. Ifa and Ororon were the next ones, and when they came out, both seemed normal. However, if one were to look closer, they would see that their clothes were wrinkled and some articles were inside out.

By the first hour of playing spin the bottle, the group decided to end it and move to other things. Xilonen suggested drinks, and the group cheered and already started to bombard her with drinks they wanted her to make. Before they could start bringing out the drinks though, the Fontainian already stood up.

"Going already?" Mualani asked. "But it's way too early! You didn't even get to taste the drinks Xilonen makes. Promise they taste amazing!"

"As much as I want to, I best be going now. My sister must be missing me dearly." Lyney let out a chuckle and stood up to dust his attire, fixing his hat. "Have a good night, everyone."

"Oh, alright." She waved him goodbye, smiling, albeit a bit disappointed. "Goodnight, hope you had a fun time today!"

The magician tipped his hat with a smile and waved back at her, as well as the others. Before leaving the room though, he looked back at Kinich for one last time and glanced back outside. The hunter felt his heart skip a beat, knowing what he saw— was that an invitation?

A rush of thoughts immediately hit him, all from that singular look. He was reminded of what happened inside the closet— the heat, Lyney's hips, his touch, the desperation and the amorousness he felt in those seven minutes. Kinich knew that if he wanted more, just like with everything in his life, he had to get it and grab it with his own hands.

He stood up, prompting Mualani to nudge him with her elbow, throwing him a grin. He nodded and returned her smile, blushing. He then waved everybody goodbye as well. The other heroes of Natlan passed each other a knowing glance, nodding in understanding.

"Enjoy the night, Kinich!" Xilonen's laughter rang around the room as he left, the sound of his tongue clicking left muffled.

~~~
The night breeze nipped at his exposed skin, causing goosebumps to pop up. He looked up at the moon to see it hidden amongst the clouds, its glow dim and shrouded. Lyney was leaning against the lamp post just outside the hotel, arms crossed as he waited for any sign of the hunter.
As each second passed, the more that doubt crept and sank inside the magician's mind. Maybe he didn't make it clear enough? Although, the look on his face reassured him that he got the message. So where—
Indigo and green flashed outside the door, and both lilac and a melange of colored eyes immediately met. Speak of the devil, they said.
The magician's lips pulled to a smirk as Kinich walked towards him. A gentle breeze passed by once again, and their hair swayed along with it. The moon that once was covered by the canopy of clouds was now starting to peek, its light shining through the thinner parts.
"You wanted something?" Kinich asked with his arms crossed, although his face showed a curious expression.
Lyney grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and smashed their lips together— now, it was the hunter's turn to let out a stifled gasp. The magician leaned closer, and so did he, slinking his hands back to the other man's waist. It was as if the flame left inside the closet came back and lit the both of them up once more. After a few moments of holding each other, they parted to catch air.
The Fontainian moved away from the other man's grip, opting to linking their arms instead. "Shall we continue this somewhere, mon beau?"
He opened up Kinich's palm and in a blink of an eye, a rainbow rose popped up, petals still fresh and open. The hunter let out a quiet "oh," taking it and carefully wedging it in-between his jumpsuit and shirt.
"Lead the way." His lips formed a small smile as they walked away from the hotel.
The wind blew once more, and now the moon was shining brightly against the dark sky along with the twinkling stars. Tonight was the start of something new, all from being stuck inside a closet.
