Its a cold autumn morning, you feel the breeze softly on your skin. You walk into a café that had recently opened. The bell rings as you enter.
The Barista greets you at the counter.
"What can I get for you?" She speaks with a welcoming smile.
You glance briefly around the menu above you, looking for the perfect item ..
You can feel her kind stare boring into your skin, you end up giving up and just ordering your usual.
You slide your card into the reader and take a seat on one of the stools. Resting your head in your palm as you wait. Today is nice. Peaceful. You watch through the window at the cars passing by, keeping an ear out for your order.
A few minutes pass. You're suddenly broken out of thought, you hear your name being called. You stand up from your seat, grabbing the beverage from her.
"Thank you, .."
You say with a smile, looking down at your coffee. Yum ..
You walk back to your seat and sit down.
You give yourself a moment to take a whiff .. mm..
The scent of coffee and warmth enter your nostrils.
Finally, you take a sip. It burns your tongue a bit, but its worth it.. A taste you recognize greatly. Something you've loved for what seems like forever..
You take sips while watching out the window. You feel the coffee warming you up. The before crowded café begins to empty out as the day goes on. You're still in slight bliss. Today.. seems so perfect. Like nothing could ever go wrong. It was an incredible feeling.. I mean, what could possibly go wrong from her--
Rumble..
You quickly look to the ground, your hands clutching your drink.
An earth quake.?
It stops, you brush it off.
You take another sip of your coffee,
Again,
Rumble..
The ground shakes once more. This time, more harsh ..
Though a little more suspicious .. you brush it off. its probably nothing.
Now one shake too late, you look up from your table through the window,
The ground starts shaking violently. Furniture falling, your drink spilling slightly.
You try to keep your balance, gripping on to the counter edge along with the Barista.
The ground outdoors begins to crack. Chaos begins..
Customers inside begin panicking, children clutching their parents.
What could possibly be happening..
Your heart is pacing, hair clinging to your skin due to sweat ..
Your legs are trembling, your hands slip slightly from the counter edge.
The cracks in the floor begin traveling farther, a giant split through the ground.
Suddenly, one big shake, the glass of the building shatters due to the impact, the people in the café are tipped out.
Screams are heard, the world is a wreck. Cars flipped, people tripped.
You still had no idea what could've caused such a massive earthquake..
You stay on the ground, unable to move from the shaking. Your skin cut lightly from the glass.
What started off as a peaceful day slowly dissented into probably the craziest(and last) day you've had.
The split in the floor just got wider and deeper by the second. The ground felt incredibly unstable.
And before you could even process it--
BOOM!!!!!! 💥💥💥💥💥💥
THE WORLD SPLIT COMPLETELY THROUGH THE MIDDLE, BREAKING THE TWO HALVES INTO EVEN SMALLER PIECES!!! 🤯🤯🤯
