The little tooka cat cafe
“So yeah, there’s this place I was thinking of visiting while we’re in town.”
Ahsoka sounded a tad coy, trying to convince her friend to join in her exception, perhaps knowing it was a tad off for Rex, the place that is.
“A place ? What kinda place?”
Rex having been paying more attention to the hustle and bustle of the lively city than where Ashoka was taking them. Headed somewhere clearly, with a purpose in mind as she led them forward.
“Yeah well it’s kinda a cafe, but with a motif of sorts.”
Not really selling it though, Rex stopping mid stride.
“It’s not one of those fancy dress code afternoon tea toddler type ones you dragged me into last time we were on a trip?”
“Nope! Far removed from that one!” Ahsoka chuckled.
Rex had his doubts though. Ahsoka having tricked him more than once for sure!
“Oh come on Rex it’ll be fun! Promise!”
“Fine. And it better be, fun!”
Rex reluctantly followed inside and it was a surprise for sure waiting for him in there.
There were troopers on the inside, but also lots of tooka-cats strolling around. The lot of them clearly owning the place. The tookas but of course.
“Oh hey there, Rex!” Fox greeted the Captain with a kitten on his lap, while the Commander was sipping his caf.
“Rexy!” Fives and Echo waved the man over next.
“Um… I’m a tad more of a hound person myself.”
Rex really tried seeing as his friends were stretched all over the comfy chairs and couches with animals covering them. Lots of animals! Them tookas!
“Oh come on, Rex! It’ll be great! Just, try it out will ya!”
Ahsoka dragged her friend to a table and then waving an order of caf and crumpets from the barkeep. The trooper Toast who had established the place with his partner Soup.
“Two cafs coming right over!” Toast smiled at the duo. “And freshly baked crumpets!”
The purring and low chatter was filling the place. The cafe having become very popular among the vod’e ever since opening day. Especially because of all the tookas there.
“This is unexpected.” Rex whispered to Ahsoka.
“Well, I knew they got this going strong, but it’s even more popular now.” Ahsoka admitted.
Rex and Ahsoka joined the other troopers or rather, the civilians as they all were that now. With the war over and whatnot they could do whatever they wanted. The clones that is.
Sipping caf and chatting away among the plethora of felines around them, what could have been more fun!?!
After some time later though, someone spotted a sleeping Rex on one of the sofas with a clowder of tookas laid out all over him. All of them sleeping soundly.
Guess Rex, was a cat person after all? At least when in the tooka cafe?
