I (23M) thought my boyfriend (24M) was cheating on me but he’s actually an undercover assassin. AIO?
Long story short, my boyfriend had been missing for almost a whole year and when he came back he was… kinda cold? I mean stuff happened to him but he was uncharacteristically cold and we also didn’t talk at all for the entirety of the week after. Turns out he’s also been working under this guy (33M), who is uhhhh. kinda attractive ig. And weird. I don’t trust him. Anyway yeah he’s been working for this man and I was worried he could be interested in him now, so I kinda followed my boyfriend around last night to see what he’d be up to.
And then I saw him striking a man with his sword??? And not just any man but a literal detective???? He ran away when he noticed me. I tried calling and texting him but he’s not picking up. I don’t know where he is. AIO???

My (24M) boyfriend (23M) thought I was cheating on him so he secretly followed me to my “assassination” mission. AITA?
This is obviously a throwaway, don’t bother looking up my history. I’m not that stupid and I know the law.
So, for some reason my boyfriend thought I was cheating on him. I’m not, I’ve literally only ever seen about one person every single day for the past few months and I utterly despise him, so I’m not sure where he got that idea. Also, I would never do anything of the sort to him, I’ve never even remotely considered the idea of cheating on him. I’m not the kind of man who would ever do something like that to the love of his life. I would quite literally kill or die for him. He’s a wonderful person and I love him immensely.
The thing is he apparently decided it was smart to follow me around and even tailed me all the way to [redacted, I’m not doxxing myself.], which is several kms away from the place we reside in.
Now, I technically wasn’t going to kill anyone and it seems that my boyfriend severely overestimated the situation, though I may or may have not attacked the target. Anyway, he saw me do that and obviously I ran away.
He started calling me over and over (I never picked up) and I now have 162 unread messages from him. I didn’t really know what to say so I turned off my phone and went to sleep, but now I feel like shit because he deserves better. AITA?

This really blew up overnight, so I thought I could post an update since the situation escalated a LOT in the meantime. The detective guy is actually dead, my boyfriend’s attractive employer was arrested for it, I’m?? apparently his lawyer now and my boyfriend is STILL not answering the damn phone. Not sure what to do now because my client is clearly innocent but I kinda don’t want to accuse my boyfriend of murder. Also the body was in a completely different place so like maybe it wasn’t him? But I did kinda see him attack him. With a sword and all. Do you think I should mention this in the trial
EDIT: Please stop questioning my lawyering skills, I’ll have you know I’m pretty damn good for a guy that hasn’t even graduated yet
EDIT2: For legal reasons I will specify that this is all alleged and it cannot be used against me in court.
EDIT3: My boyfriend still hasn’t answered the phone but apparently he’s prosecuting tomorrow????
EDIT4: I just saw his post. Not sure how to feel but I’m really glad he was never cheating 😊

Hi everyone! I’m now 24M. Whenever I read these stories I always want to know how things end, so I’m updating you guys one last time to let you know that we sorted our differences out and we’ve decided to get married next year!
