Summary:
Gris Pacheco, 14, moves with her family from Texas to Bethune after leaving her old school due to her childish and ridiculous behavior. Forced to pretend a life that isn’t her own, Gris hides her true self behind a mask she despises, while navigating middle school and the expectations of others. Each day she feels more trapped… until a sincere wish to be herself leads her to discover that sometimes, wishes are endless.
