Work Text:
Being a manager to 5 teenagers, well technically 4 teenagers and 1 young adult, wasn't really the easiest thing. While they're goofy and hardworking, it's also not something rare for them to not listen to me or bicker with each other.
I was sitting on the sofa in their changing room, scrolling through my phone to check their newly updated schedules for the next few days. That's when I heard someone open the door to the changing room.
"Noona," Seonghyeon called, walking towards me with a face expression looking tired. I put my phone away, "Hm?" I answered, looking at him.
He slumped on the sofa next to me, whining a bit. "What's wrong?" I asked, caressing the back of his head.
"When can we go back to the dorm?" he asked, pouting as he locked eyes with me. I internally coos, "In a while, okay? the other members aren't done with their part for the music video yet, " I said.
He grunted a little, wanting to go back soon. He yawned and stretched a little. "Tired? Why don't you take a nap here?" I asked, but he shook his head.
I ignored his action and just stood up to grab a blanket and pillow at the end of the room. I walked back towards him with the blanket and pillow.
I kneeled on the floor next to the sofa where Seonghyeon was lying down. He kept quiet and just let me lift his head a little to put the pillow before letting his head rest on the pillow.
He let out a soft grunt, and then I covered him with the blanket. "Comfy?" I asked, fixing the blanket on him.
"Hmm," He responded, snuggling the blanket. I stood up and went to dim the light a bit, but as I turned to look at him again, he was already asleep, eyes closed and body limp.
I smiled to myself, satisfied he's getting a rest.
I exited the room and went to check on the others. Martin and Juhoon seem to be recording their part for the music video, while Keonho was bothering James, who seems to be playing games on his phone.
I took mental note of what they're doing before going to the side where other staff were just sitting with the camping chair, just monitoring the boys while chatting with each other.
"Seonghyeon?" One of the make up artist asked, probably saw seonghyeon walking in into the changing room where I just exited.
"Taking a nap," I answered, slightly smiling. "Ahh," she said as she nodded.
"Figured he's tired. He's a little cranky. He was snapping at James when James told him to put his bag somewhere else because someone kept tripping over it, " the stylist said, which made me raise my eyebrows.
I was known as the manager who's very strict with discipline, not tolerating disrespect.
"Well, you can't blame him. Their schedule begins early, and they finished their schedules late yesterday, " the stylist continued.
I just hummed in response, shaking my head a little. "Asked him to take a nap while waiting for others to be done with their part and he shook his head, yet he fell asleep again within a few minutes of me giving him a pillow and a blanket" I said, laughing.
"That's Seonghyeon for you," the stylist said, laughing, which made me laugh as well, shaking my head.
As I was chatting with the staff, time passed by, but the boys still weren't done with the filming. A few minutes later, seonghyeon stumbled out of the changing room, hair messy and looking around, seemingly looking for something.
I tilted my head to the side, confused with his antics. He finally locked eyes with me and walked towards me. "I woke up, and you weren't there," he mumbled, looking to his feet.
"Aw," I coo, standing up. I held his hand by the wrist and led him back to the dressing room. I tucked him in again, but this time, I stayed by his side.
I watch as seonghyeon snuggled into the blanket again, trying to stay awake, his eyes opening and closing.
I laughed to myself quietly, not wanting to follow his plan of not wanting to go back to sleep. I reached out a hand to rub his back, which earned a whine from him.
Within a few minutes, he was back to sleep, mouth slightly open, making me chuckled.
