Notes:

This was going to be a joke story but then my friend enlightened me with the idea to actually make effort and write a good story.

Chapter 1: Threes a Charm

Chapter Text

The perpetual cloudiness cast over the sky of Forks mirrored Bella's mood as she walked into Forks High. It was senior year, and while most of her classmates were buzzing with excitement about college applications and graduation parties, Bella felt a sense of unease. It wasn't just the usual end of year melancholy; it was the complicated, messy, and tangled webs of her heart. Edward, with his timeless beauty and intense love, and Jacob, with his sun-kissed warmth and unwavering devotion, had both captured pieces of her soul. And against all odds, they had somehow found a way to share her, to love her, together.

The arrangement wasn't easy, of course. It had started with tentative conversations, awkward silences, and a lot of soul-searching. Initially both boys had been against it, their possessive natures clashing with the idea of sharing Bella. Though Jacob, ever the pragmatist, had seen it as a way for all three of them to be happy, a compromise that acknowledged the undeniable bond between them. Bella, torn between her love for both, had been the catalyst, gently nudging them towards a solution that defied all logic and expectations.

Now, months into their unconventional relationship, they found a sort of rhythm, a delicate balance that seemed to work. Most of the time, at least. Edward met her before school every day, a stolen moment in his silver Volvo before she had to face the mundane reality of College Algebra and AP Macroeconomics. Jacob would call during her lunch break, his voice a warm rumble that chased away the dreariness of the cafeteria. And on weekends, they would find time to be together, the three of them, navigating the complexities of their shared love in the secluded forests and beaches of the Olympic Peninsula.

Weekends were their sanctuary, a time when the outside world faded away, and they could simply be. Sometimes, they'd pile into Jacob's beat-up Rabbit and drive to La Push, the salty air whipping through their hair as they walked along the beach, the crashing waves alongside the constant sound of their laughter and whispered conversations. Other times, they'd venture into the woods, Edward leading them on silent, swift-footed journeys through the dense foliage, Jacob's keen senses alert to any sign of danger. Bella, nestled between them, felt an overwhelming sense of peace, a feeling of being completely and utterly loved.

But even in their sanctuary, the real world had a way of intruding. There were the curious glances and hushed whispers at school, the constant need to explain their relationship to bewildered friends and family. Charlie, Bella's dad, had taken it surprisingly well, perhaps relieved that she was finally happy, even if he didn't quite understand the dynamics of her love life. But others weren't so accepting. Edward's family, though supportive, couldn't help but worry about the implications of such an unconventional arrangement. And Jacob's pack (oh yea it’s Jacob’s not Sam’s), were naturally wary of the Cullens, and viewed their relationship with suspicion, unsure of Edward's true intentions.

Despite the challenges, Bella, Edward, and Jacob were determined to make it work. They knew their relationship was different, that it defied societal norms and expectations. But they also knew that what they had was real. It was a deep and abiding love that transcended boundaries and labels. It wasn't always easy, but it was theirs, this messy, complicated, beautiful love. And she wouldn't trade it for anything.

It’s a chilly afternoon in Forks. Per usual, Bella is relaxing in her room, reading a book. And it was even chillier as she’d gotten into the habit of leaving her window open for both of her two boyfriends, since they like to climb through those rather than use doors. Though it’s fortunate she does because Jacob comes crashing in her room. He lands on her floor fairly roughly, and with no shirt on at that.

“Jake?” She puts her book down and looks over at his form on the floor. Standing up from her bed and walking around to check on him, “Are you okay?” He groans in response and lifts himself up and stands sharply in front of her. “Hey Bella,” he smiles at her, but all she can notice are those crazy muscles on him (meow). “I wanna take you to the movies, horror good?”

Bella gets closer and looks over him, “Yea, horror is fine, what day and what time?” she asks running her hand through her hair. “Next Saturday, I’ll come get you at 5:45.” He inches closer to her and sets his hands on her hips. She smiles at his touch, “Alright, I’ll tell Charlie. And please, use the front door. Because believe it or not he still doesn’t know you’re a wolf, nor does he know Edward is a vampire.”

Jacob groans but smirks, “Maybe we should tell him, or better yet, show him.” He smiles mischievously. “Absolutely not, the last thing I want my dad to do is have a heart attack because his only child is in a love triangle with two people who happen to be things that are supposed to be fictional beings.”

He chuckles, “Alright, I hear you.” She smiles at his chuckle, “Good.”
