Work Text:
The whole Beast Yeast is a mess, both Elder Faerie and Salt of Solidarity know it. They fought side-by-side, offering unwavering support to one another. It all started as a mere alliance, gradually growing as a comradeship, and now here they are, sitting on the vast flower garden in the Faerie kingdom. It's not everyday they could enjoy a peaceful, quiet moment like this.
No words spoken for a long time, it was unnecessary. Their proximity gave enough, the calm, gentle moonlight showed enough. They sat on the soft grass, hands intertwined with one another as they stargazed together.
Salt's hand reached out and plucked a beautiful lily flower, admiring it for a while before he placed it carefully on Elder Faerie's elf-like ear, it looked so pretty, so fitting for his beautiful partner, his lover. Elder Faerie pulled his gaze off of the stars, now focusing on his lover. He reached out to touch the flower on his hand, before smiling.
"What's this for, if I may know?" Asked Elder Faerie, voice as soft as the petal. He tried to hold back his laughter, cheeks flushed. Salt of Solidarity merely scoffed, before looking away from the other man, that's when Elder Faerie let a laughter slipped from his lips. "... Lilies suits you." Salt of Solidarity murmured underneath his breath, his heart beating fast.
"Is that so...?" Elder Faerie asked once again, a smile gracing his lips.

Lilies, huh...
Elder Faerie stared down at the woman in front of him. Silverbell claimed she had helped him and now he's helping her as a token of gratefulness. Elder Faerie lets out a long sigh, that kid...
He noticed that this woman — who introduced herself as White Lily — is one of the souljams holders, and hers... oh, he could feel the sense of familiarity coming from her souljam. He listened, gradually understanding her whole purpose and journey, and he'd be lying if he said she didn't remind him of his long-gone lover.
After a long while, Elder Faerie agreed on helping her, welcoming her as his kind. And day by day, she reminded him of his lover even more. It hurts him, but he tried to keep it buried deep inside. Times passed, and the two showed the same level of attraction and awe, they're both in love, yet both too scared to admit.
Elder Faerie felt bad, he couldn't help but see her as fragments of his long-gone lover. It's wrong, White Lily is her own person, an amazing and gentle individual, selfless and brave. Yes, he loved her, but he couldn't help but to see her as him at times.
Parting had always been hard for him, as White Lily bid farewell. And once again, he had failed to stop the people he loved the most. A lot of things happened. Her 'death', his second heartbreak, the arrival of Gingerbrave and her resurrection. It all feels surreal for him.
They say there's nothing better than dying on the hand of your loved ones, and Elder Faerie could confirm that. Laying weakly in her arms, he finally saw her in a different light. He saw her, the real her, all of her. A smile gracing his lips once again after what feels like eternity. Yes, White Lily is White Lily, she's not Salt of Solidarity, but she's just as wonderful. He can feel all her love, all of her heart, and there's no way he could ever regret this decision.
Salt is right, Lilies do suit him.
