ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Theodore dies at the hand of his saviour after years of following his command. He awoke as Catnap, his character he was forced to become as a child.

It was a different time, a different place, a different world, where humans were myths and critters were the main dominant creatures.

Now Catnap has the memories of his past life, while his friends do not; his own guilt eats at his heart to the point he feels he cannot be by their sides.

He chooses to watch them from afar and protect them.

Catnap is not the only one who remembers.

‘Ah. This is it.’  Catnap thinks that when he notices the vent opening and his saviour reaching out for him, the large creature turns to kneel, his arms outstretched as he is willing to receive this final act of loyalty.

The reality of the situation was death, but also freedom.

True freedom.

That was how he viewed it.

He recognised that not everyone would acknowledge this truth.

Catnap did not need their approval or acceptance.

The metal hand moves slowly nearer, lining up its claws with the huge cat’s head.

‘This is it.’ Theodore thinks calmly- the claw came down.
