Work Text:

It's been a long day. House and his team are currently working on finding the disease their patient has to no avail.
On top of that, Cuddy assigned House 10 extra hours of clinic duty for doing a stupid test that didn't even work. This would all be fine if House's leg wasn't screaming at him all day. But the worst part of all this, Wilson wasn't here today.
House and Wilson have been dating for a few years now.
The dynamic between them barely changed, the only difference now is the fact they sleep together. House isn't the touchy type. He doesn't like being hugged, not a fan of holding hands, cuddling is a defiant no, and kissing is only when it gets him laid. But not for Wilson. No, with Wilson, House is like a cat purring for attention to be pet and cuddled.
Wilson is his person. The only one that could calm him down no matter the day. The only person he could stand to just be in the same presence with for more than a day straight. So the fact he could escape into Wilson's office to lighten his mood somewhat was a total bummer. Luckily, the day was finally over.
The drive home was long. The radio played quietly as he drove tiredly across town. Every now and then he'd pass a car, the headlights shining bright in his strained eyes.
Eventually, he pulled up to the driveway of their condo. He sighed before getting out of the car and limping to the door.
Quietly walking through, he looked over to the couch, unsurprisingly seeing Wilson sprawled on top, watching some telenovela. He didn't fight the soft smile he felt form on his face.
"Hey!" He called from the couch, turning his head to look over at House. He shrugged his coat off and moved to the couch, slumping down beside Wilson.
"Hey." He mumbled back, laying almost on top of Wilson with his arm across his waist and his head nuzzled in his chest.
Wilson looked down at House with a small frown, his hand instantly reaching to rub his back gently.
"Long day?" He questioned, House could feel the way his eyes looked down at him, all sad and puppy-like.
"Mhm." his voice muffled against his chest.
Wilson ran his hand up and down his back soothingly while watching the T.V for a while before speaking again.
"Wanna talk about it?' He already knew the answer to that question, better to ask anyway.
"Nope." He replied tiredly, his voice rough and gravely.
Wilson hummed in acknowledgement while rubbing his back.
They stayed like that for a long time. Longer than House really needed-not that he's complaining. House kept his eyes closed, but made sure not to fall asleep. His steady heartbeat and raise and fall of his chest was calming to him as he laid there. He could feel the day peel off of him the longer he stayed.

Finally, he raised his head and looked up to Wilson, who turned his head to Houses. He smiled softly down at him when they locked eyes. House pushed himself up and toward Wilson as he kissed his lips softly. WIlson quickly kissed back before House pulled away not too long after.
"I'm okay now." he could help the small smile creep
up. He got off of Wilson and stood up with a grunt before turning to the kitchen
"What's for dinner?" He asked, limping towards the
fridge. Wilson stood up slowly before walking over with House.
"Spagehtii," he grabbed the pot on the stove and turned on the burner. "Just waiting for you." House walked behind Wilson and slid his arms around his waist as he rested his chin on his shoulder.
"Sounds good." He turned his head to peck Wilson's cheek quickly before resting his head again.
Wilson smiled as he stirred the sauce. The warm feeling of House behind him was comforting. After some time their food was done cooking. Wilson plated their food and grabbed two beers as they settled on the couch and watched Monster truck derbies.
"Hey Wilson." His eyes didn't leave the T.V
"Mhm?' He hummed back.
"I love you."
Wilson smiled softly to himself.
"Love you too, House."
