This is why he should never let Star Platinum look through his comic books. This is why he shouldn't expose it to certain panels of said comic books that contain certain activities.
Like one character braiding another character's hair. Especially that. But, no, now that Star Platinum was exposed to such content, Jotaro had to suffer a week's worth of constant puppy eyes and a comic book being shoved in his face, with a broad blue finger jabbing at that specific panel.
Now, he sits with his legs crossed atop his bed, his homework perched messily in his lap rather than on the welcome desk on the other side of the room. Star Platinum is busy shifting through his hidden stack of comic books under his bed. Which gives Jotaro a rising level of apprehension. It doesn't plan to shove it back in his face, right?
Oh, look, there's Star Platinum rising up from under the bed with the same exact comic book clutched in its broad hands, opened to the familiar page.
Sighing loudly, Jotaro cranes his head back with an exasperated, low groan coming from him as Star Platinum slowly, ever so slowly, raises the comic book for the hundredth time. When it points at the panel again, Jotaro grinds his teeth, jaw tensing and cold green eyes narrowed. He nearly chucks his pencil at his pouting Stand's forehead.
“What do you want.”
Soon after growling that, he feels guilt akin to an owner snapping at an innocent pet. He sighs, runs a hand down over his face, and tries again.
“Is there something you're trying to tell me here, Star?” He mutters, grumpily unfolding his legs and letting them stretch out over his haphazard blankets while he crosses his muscular arms, pencil gripped tightly in his hand. Star Platinum perks up at his question, its eyes blinking once, twice, before it points at the panel and then points at its user. Jotaro arches a thick brow. Star Platinum smiles brightly and then turns its hand around to point at itself.
Totally lost, Jotaro furrows his brow.
“Ora,” Star Platinum says, reaching out to gently grip him by the wrist. Jotaro reluctantly uncrosses his arms and lets it guide his hand. When it sets it atop its head, among wisps of soft black, Jotaro pauses.
“You... want me to braid your hair,” Jotaro mutters, ignoring the flutter in his chest upon feeling its long locks brushing against his hand. They're really soft. (And Star is acting cute, despite his irritation.)
“Ora, ora!” Star Platinum gushes, nodding excitedly with a beaming grin on its face. Jotaro frowns.
“I'm not going to braid your hair,” he says, pulling his hand out from Star Platinum's grip and away from the silky hair. Immediately Star Platinum's smiling face falls and his Stand gives him the damn puppy eyes again. Jotaro stares back at it, face stoic and arms crossing. Like hell he's going to fall for this again. No way. Nope. As if.
“Stop that,” he growls, narrowing his eyes at the other. Star Platinum sticks out its bottom lip and bats its eyelashes. Jotaro huffs. He refuses to back down, keeping his stubborn gaze fixed on Star Platinum's big, doe-like eyes. Star Platinum even begins to whine, its eyes searching in its user's as it raises a curled fist to its chin. The epitome of cute, desperate begging. Jotaro is squinting at it now, jaw clenched and lips pressed tightly together.
“Ora... O-Oraaaa,” Star Platinum cries, bottom lip wobbling now and puppy eyes welling up with fantasy tears that has Jotaro grinding his teeth. Star Platinum has intention to drape itself over him dramatically, but pauses when Jotaro shakes his head and heaves a heavy sigh.
“Alright, you little shit. I'm warning you though, I don't know--”
Suddenly a brush is shoved into his chest, startling him, and Star Platinum is sitting down in front of him on the bed, making the entire thing shake with its weight. Huffing, Jotaro clutches the brush in his calloused hand and glances up at the goliath size of Star Platinum. His Stand takes up half the bed and towers over him despite the fact its sitting down. He looks down at its broad, multicolored back, across planes of tight muscle. His gaze lingers at the tantalizing dip of its ass. Its loin cloth hides the rest. He glances back up to its hair.
“Sit on the floor. I can't reach you from here.”
Eager for its hair to be braided, Star Platinum drops down onto the floor, sitting on its thick calves with its hands placed daintily on its wide thighs. It peeks back at him and gives him an encouraging smile that has the teenager swallowing hard and reluctantly bringing the brush up to its waving hair.
He runs the brush slowly through its locks a few times, but his stroking becomes rougher and rougher the more its locks refuse to stay down and just continue to wave about tauntingly. He huffs. He can braid hair that floats. Not a damn problem.
Getting up on his knees on the bed, he sets the brush down and snatches up Star Platinum's pretty hair in his hands. He stares down at his handfuls of hair and then exhales deeply. Well, fuck it, right?
He tries to recall the (two) times he witnessed his mom braiding her friend's hair. He thinks back on the parts in chick flicks that his mom forced him to watch with her when one girl braided another girl's hair. Something that had to do with winding the locks together, right?
Staring down at the cloud of hair in front of him and in his fists, he lets it all go in favor of clutching at two long locks. He begins to clumsily wind them together with a furrowed brow but when it becomes painfully obvious this is not how you braid hair, he throws his hands up.
“Star, what the fuck. Why do you think I know how to do this? Just,” he grumbles, sighs, and then continues, “Just stay here. I'm going to get mom just so you get off my ass about it.”
Star Platinum peeks back at him, pouting (of course), but doesn't put up a fuss. It nods and sits there politely as Jotaro gets up from the bed and stomps out of the room. Star Platinum, meanwhile, watches him as he goes before slowly leaning over to look under the bed. It reaches for the porn mag that Jotaro keeps trapped between the mattress and the bed frame. It is well aware of the fact that Jotaro doesn't want it looking at the magazine, but it loves the gaudy, interesting colors of the pages and the intriguing shapes of each woman. A little peek can't hurt.
This is bullshit, Jotaro thinks to himself as he peeks into the kitchen to find Holly at the counter. She's leaning over a book, cheek propped in a hand while she fed a strawberry into her mouth. When he clears his throat, Holly looks up, surprise in her gaze.
“Jotaro! What's up, sweetie?”
“Uh... Star Platinum wants someone to braid his hair, and that isn't going to be me.”
Blinking, Holly straightens up from the counter and once it processes what he's asking, she beams and all but runs over to throw herself against him and laugh, saying loudly, “Oh, oh, oh! This would be a perfect time for me to teach you how to braid hair, Jotaro!”
“Good grief...” Jotaro mutters, pulling down on the bill of his hat as Holly gives him a quick hug. Then she grabs his hand before tugging him along through the hallway, back to his room.
When they step inside, Jotaro looks over to see Star Platinum sitting where he had last left it, albeit with blatant tension in its body. He recognized that look on its face. That nervous blinking of its eyes, the half-smile on its plump lips. That is the look that says “I did a Bad.”
Jotaro squints at his Stand. Holly lets go of his hand in favor of approaching Star Platinum. All sunshine and rainbows, she starts going on and on about how pretty and silky its hair is, while petting at the locks and running her fingers through it. Jotaro sighs and plops down on the bed beside them, watching from the corner of his eye as Holly starts gushing about how much she'd love to play with this hair every day. Like expected, Star Platinum lets out an enthusiastic, “Ora!”
Holly giggles at that and then takes a seat behind the Stand on the bed, before she goes about actually braiding said hair. Jotaro watches intently as she does, his interested gaze hidden under the bill of his hat. Wouldn't hurt to learn it, in case his annoying Stand bothers him to do it again sometime later. Star Platinum is on the verge of vibrating right through the roof, so noticeably excited with a beaming grin. Jotaro rolls his eyes.
When Holly finishes braiding its hair all together, she throws her hands out and declares the job done with a gleeful, “Ta-da!”
“Ora!” Star Platinum echoes her enthusiasm, immediately leaping up and turning to Jotaro. It points at its hair happily with a broad smile, its eyes glancing across Jotaro's expressionless face, so eager to gain some praise from its user.
“It looks...” Jotaro begins, staring up at its hair. The braid levitates. Some locks closer to its face didn't quite make it. They float, separate from the rest. It looks damn silly. But kind of cute.
“Braided,” he finishes, flatly. Star Platinum looks so genuinely touched by his words and throws itself at him and pulls him into the most bone-crushing hug he's ever felt... That is, since the last time Star Platinum gave him a similar bone-crushing hug.
Wheezing, Jotaro weakly pats it on its wide back and grunts with a tightened expression, “Alright, big guy. Let... me go.”
Holly laughs when Star Platinum releases him obediently and instead rushes to Jotaro's mirror to stare at itself. It stares at its reflection so intently with wide, awed eyes Jotaro has to wonder if it's hypnotized.
“He's quite cute,” Holly muses from beside him, setting a hand affectionately on Jotaro's lower back. Jotaro rubs at a kink in his neck which had been gained from the previous painful hug. He nods weakly before realizing what he's exactly agreeing with. Holly laughs again, rubbing her hand over his back.
“Shut up,” he mutters, his cheeks heating up a little bit at his mistake. Holly grins and gives him a pat on the back before she makes her leave, so very pleased her son asked her to do such an enjoyable task as braiding the hair of his beautiful Stand.
As she steps back into the kitchen, she hears the happy call of, “Ora!”
And then the exasperated curse from her son who is, no doubt, being pulled into another grateful, tight hug once again.
