Work Text:

Vox was feeling restless and agitated as he walked back and forth in his office. He had been waiting for a peculiar deer to appear for what felt like an eternity, but he still hadn't shown up.

The anticipation was getting to him, and he couldn't help but wonder what was taking it so long. He gazed out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of the demon, but all he saw was the busy city street below. The longer he waited, the more his frustration grew, and he couldn't shake that unfamiliar feeling. Was it jealousy?

“Where are you, Alastor?” He grumbled to himself as he stared out into the city.

Suddenly, a faint crackling sound echoed through the room, followed by a puff of smoke that materialized into the unmistakable figure of Alastor, the Radio Demon himself. His trademark grin spread across his face as he observed Vox’s worried state.

“Greetings, Vox,” Alastor’s voice chimed with amusement. “Whatever could be the matter?”

Vox spun around to face Alastor, his shoulders dropping from being so tense.

“Finally, you’re back! Do you have any fucking idea how long I’ve been waiting for you? I thought you said only a couple of hours.”

Alastor chuckled softly, strolling closer to Vox with a casual grace.

“Ah, yes well. I had some matters to attend to that took longer than anticipated.” Vox rolled his eyes, his face visibly heating up with Alastor’s presence near.

“Yes, yes, I’m sure you had your fun causing havoc on whoever set foot in front of you,” Vox said with a hint of fondness creeping into his voice.

As they stood side by side in front of Vox’s expansive windows, Pentagram City stretched out before them. Alastor couldn’t help but stare at Vox, a mischievous glint in his eye as he observed his… god knows what he was to him.

“Impatience is a rather unbecoming trait for someone of your stature,” Alastor remarked, his voice carrying amusement.

Vox huffed, a blush creeping up his cheeks at Alastor’s teasing.

“Easy for you to say, you’re never the one waiting around for someone who can’t keep to a schedule,” he muttered in embarrassment.

It was all too amusing to poke at Vox’s character, even if it meant enduring the brunt of Vox’s frustration. With a chuckle, Alastor leaned in closer, his gaze unwavering as he met Vox’s eyes.

“Ah, my dear, I would refute this circumstance’s time was out of my hands.”

Vox shifted, his shamefulness evident in the way he moved his weight from one foot to the other.

“Yes, well, speaking of circumstances, where were you, exactly?”

Alastor’s grin widened, his stance unmoving.

“Oh, fear not, my dear, as it does not concern you,” he replied cryptically.

Before Vox could protest further, Alastor acted, his movements swift and decisive. He closed the distance between them, his hand holding Vox’s neck tenderly as he captured Vox’s lips in a tender kiss.

Vox’s breath caught in his throat as Alastor’s lips pressed against his own. He couldn’t help but respond eagerly, his own hands reaching up to grasp at Alastor’s coat, pulling him closer.

His hand dared to wander beneath Alastor’s coat, seeking out the tantalizing appendage that was the Radio Demon’s tail. His fingers brushed against the smooth fur, a thrill coursing through him.

But before Vox could fully grasp the tail, Alastor broke away from the kiss, a firm yet gentle grip halting Vox’s hand. Their eyes locked, and Vox observed Alastor with curious eyes.

“Let’s not get too carried away,” Alastor murmured.

“Can you blame me for wanting a touch?” He replied, a spark igniting on his fingers.

Alastor chuckled softly, his grip loosening. “I don’t blame you one bit, my dear,” he whispered, sending shivers down Vox’s spine. “Perhaps we should save that desire for another time.”

With a final lingering kiss, Alastor pulled away, leaving Vox breathless and wanting more. A whine escaped Vox’s lips involuntarily. “You’re not fucking fair!” he protested.

The Radio Demon’s smile remained wide, unyielding. His gaze lingered for a second before responding with a simple hum and turning to lie on “their” bed. Vox’s eyes sharply followed him, frustration bubbling beneath his surface. The room situation between them was complicated, to say the least.

Lately, Alastor had been spending the night with Vox more often than not, slipping away early in the morning before Vox had the opportunity to wake up to the Radio Demon by his side. He couldn’t deny the thrill of Alastor’s presence, the way his lower half raced whenever Alastor was near.

“Our arrangements may be unconventional, but they are no less meaningful,” the deer’s head turned slightly to look at Vox.

Vox crossed the room, sitting on the edge of the bed beside Alastor.

“It’s not just about the arrangement, Al,” he murmured, his fingers brushing against Alastor’s. “I just… I want more. More of you.”

Alastor’s grinning expression widened as he pulled Vox into a tantalizing hug, his arms wrapping around him with a surprising tenderness. Vox’s breath hitched at the close contact; the warmth of Alastor’s embrace electrified his circuits.

“And you shall have more, Vox. In time.” Alastor’s voice was a soothing whisper in Vox’s face, his tone laced with reassurance.

The TV Demon let out a soft sigh, his eyes fluttering closed as he allowed himself to bask in the moment. A seed of doubt remained in his mind, unsure if Alastor’s reassurance was genuine or just another facet of his nature.

“Alright,” he conceded, his voice a mere whisper. “But don’t think for a second that I’m not going to keep pushing for more.”

Alastor’s chuckle was a low, melodic sound that sent shivers down Vox’s spine.

“I won’t expect anything less from you, my dear.”
